Well guys, the long anticipated result is in. Unfortunately the desired place for the proving ground was not WSID, instead it was on private property in a place I will keep anonymous. But the result is…drum roll….Nissan R32 GTR by many car lengths. All arguments are now put to rest…almost. He decided to pull the whole ‘yeah, but your car is modded, if mine were modded…blah blah’. Didn’t matter, I am content. I am still going to go to WSID because I was looking forward to getting a timeslip. Thanks for everybody’s support and helpful information that gave me the confidence to face this challenge.

Its all personal opinion. Some people don't mind, some people do. Ive driven plenty of cars to formals for $200 with out food (including my uncles 300k 911 porsche turbo) etc. If I had a 34 I would not mind - they only cost 50k now. Some people just like to go for a cruise in their car from a - b, but to get paid for doing so is a top bonus. Thanks Mal for your input, being a previous owner of a typhoon you will have the anwers i look for first hand. We are set to have a run next wed at WSID. If he pulls out I will run regardless. He has a manual and is apparently pretty bad at driving it lol. In terms of the John Bowe special, earlier on in this topic Jason posted a link to an FPV sight that was selling John Bowe packages as an option for the Typhoon. It included throttle body, airbox, muffler, and custom pin striping with a John Bowe signature on it. It may or may not have some sort of ECU enhancement done to it.
