  1. Thanks BB, I do experience understeer (thought that was just from a really heavy front end) and the rears are wearing faster than my fronts. Should I try for 255's all round? Probably a bit too thick you think?
  2. Ummm...damn it. Yes, its the other way around.
  3. Rear: 255 x 40 R17 Front: 235 x 45 R17
  4. +1 to set a date gorrammit
  5. Do you have a southern cross sticker on the back of your forester?
  6. Damn, thats sucks because they are good BBS ones, they are 17" front and rear, just different widths. I will switch to driving rwd till I replace them then...bummer.
  7. hehe, im not worried. If I blow every single component my car has there are 3 donor cars waiting to replace everything for a pricely some of...nothing lol.
  8. No Idea whats on the inside, its definately a rebuilt motor though. It has nismo turbos, and oil pump with relocation and oil cooler, fuel pump injectors, pfc etc.
  9. DONT READ IT THEN
  10. Eheh, well lucky for me I heard this guy is a terrible driver. I had a S6 RX7 that i drove with stupid amounts of boost and managed to get pretty good at keeping it straight. This GTR is heaps easier to drive in comparison.
  11. Not sure on the suspension but it is as hard as rock. Going to need caps on all of my teeth from pot holes. Rears are 255 Bridgestone Potenza and 235's on front. I am fairly good at launching and shifting, though from past experiences I dont flat shift anymore. Wouldn't call myself anything close to a drag god though. What sucks is the majority of previous threads said I had a probable win, doh! I spoke to the person I bought the car off on Sat and he said my power reading was only at 1.2 bar and also said for a one off drag that I should boost to 2 bar . I talked the guy into giving me a run, he said not this week but maybe the next. I was going to put a small wager on it...but now im not so sure haha.
  12. Eh eh, yeah does sound lame. I think this is the car I am talking about: http://www.uniquecarsales.com.au/pls/carsa...;ucategory_id=8
  13. Wow, there are alot of posts here. Strange how some people have around 250rkw and can do early 12's. But if I go by similar cars to mine I should expect early twelves or late elevens. Cheers for that!
  14. Haha - I searched in Altavista and kept getting links to FPV forums. Doesnt look like you get alot for 3k!!! After reading what a heap of people have to say and looking at some pb's, I am pretty confident in BEATING him, lol. Now its just a case of getting him to come to the track with me, I am going regardless though - just for the experience and fun of it.
  15. Ah, so what estimate would you make? According to this site stock standard 32 gtr's run 12.8, surely it has to be quicker than that, right?
  16. Well the typhoon is a 6 cyclinder turbo just like mine, only I have 2 turbos and he has more cc's. Have decided to settle the 'whos manhood is begger contest' in a 1/4 mile drag. His typhoon is completely standard but its the John Bowe edition, which apparently has a bit more tweaking done to it. I am struggling to find any information on it.
  17. We were talking drag - and your times with your mate are very close lol. As mr.diesel has said, "inch or a mile". Im sure if i mention track to him he will say that I will get spanked there too, but then again he is the type of bloke that will say he can beat a top fueler in his sleep also. I am just going to hit the 1/4 mile and throw numbers at him, and he will have no choice but to prove me wrong with his own slip. Lets just hope our nissan comes out on top!
  18. Cheers mate, will do. Do you think there is a big difference between a typhoon and a standard XR6 Turbo?
  19. Thanks Jason for the advise and for noting my spelling mistakes. Didn’t think spelling would bother people so I didn’t put the effort into reviewing and amending – so to note that I am not illiterate and in future will double check spelling. I have only had the car for a bit over a month so I am trying to learn as much about it as possible, this site has been great for that. As for the ¼ mile, I will, and I intend on having a run in the near future as my proof. Hoping for early 11’s!!
  20. A friend of a friend firmly beleives that his stock F6 Typhoon John Bowe edt. can go faster than my modded R32 GTR. I have not said that I am faster until I can get my facts right plus some expert SAU opinions to back it up. His F6 according to him has 320kw (not sure if this is atw or not). My GTR is 246Kw at all four wheels (I can switch to rwd for more kw's) Mods are: N1 Nismo Turbo's Apexi PFC Sard 600cc injectors HKS Exaust, piping and frontmount And of coarse a boost controller (safe limit 1.5 bar) I'm trying to get him to meet me at the creek but he is not interested yet. So theoretically - what do you guys think?
  21. +1 for fri, sat or sun. Cant do thurs.
  22. This quote is true, chuck on new turbos asap. When those turbo's go bang, which may be in the not too distant future, the ceramic dust stuffs your engine. I have N1's in mine (all steel), i think they are the same size as the stock ones and they are heppy to sit on 1.2 bar. Good Luck!
  23. Damn, I have been using Caltex for a while - took off at the lights against a bike and blew a massive backfire. Will try BP and Shell next time and see if it makes the differences everyone points out.
  24. I hope to come also, and possibly bring some friends. This will be my first so looking forward to it!
  25. Hello All, Just got the keys to my R32 gtr and itching to cruise around sydney with some other skyliners and hopefully learna thing or two about them, (not this weekend but the next). Cheers, Jez
