I have been using motul turbo light 10-40w in my car since forever. Have read this thread before and I remember many people suggesting oils and then others bagging out said suggested oil. So i decided to go onto the Nismo website and they recomend a 15w-50w http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/competi...neup/15w50.html . Also when I was at BEL garage the other day with the ITR he said that 10-40w is too thin for RB engines and agrees that 15-50 is on the mark. Could he be right? Most awesome skid because the v8 biased commetator wasn't expecting a car with the smallest capacity in the litter to rip a skid longer than half the blown v8 big blocks. the commentator was like 'and here we have what looks like a nissan silvia.....and....wow, he did pretty damn good'. lol

you will find a thread in the wasteland called, 'dumbest thing a cop has ever said to'. Some funny stuff there. Why this subject is silly is because we are classing police as a whole rather than individuals. I have police friends who would never bother anyone as long as they are not doing anything wrong. And they tell me of people in their squad that are really anal about every road rule and regulation. So it all comes down to which individual you get pulled over by. For instance I was at uni so I was doing night shift at a BP service station. I was on my way to work just before midinight in my stock looking (besides rims) rx7 when a cop pulled me over. I was on my red p's at that time and had never been pulled over before. I approached a green arrow to turn right and about 3-5 meters before the intersection the light went amber. I had a split second decision to make as I knew there was a cop right up my rear, i decided it was unsafe to slam on the brakes so i coasted my way through. The police hit their lights and pulled me over. Out hopped a large round lady with a shaven head and possibly no bra, it was hard to tell. She issued me a ticket for going through an orange light (yes thats what the fine said) and another ticket for not indicating when they pulled me over. Admitantly I was nervous and forgot to indicate. I was in my BP uniform at the time and was using my best manners but it didnt matter. I am sure if it was someone like my mate this would never have happened. p.s. I contested and got out of it

Mikey the early models, (from top of my head) 89-92 had an engine with small oil galleries and something to do with a smaller crank part that does not force enough oil through the engine. So the 93 models onwards have the same engine as the 33 GTR with this issue solved. Sorry if my advice is not technical enough, this is just what I found with my car. My engine died on my 91 so I replaced it with a 33 gtr engine from a 98 autech stagea rather than rebuild an inferior engine. Other engine builders or gtr enthusiasts might have something different to say but this is just from my experience and what many gtr owners have told me. As a quick fyi also, dont go out and buy a 10k gtr - you will end up paying 20 on it to get it where it needs to be. Look for the ones in the 16k+ mark with good histories and receipts and you will save yourself in the long run.

i have some sort of exedy heavy duty. Only cost me $500 (full kit). Holds 320kws. Will tell you in 20 years time if it will last 30,000kms - coz my car probably does 1-2k per year.

Hey all, Got a couple of well mannered friends together for a small cruise on Saturday the 6th of March. It's not going to be a long cruise, looking at 1-2 hours max. Have not yet decided on a destination. The starting point will be at Dan Murphy's car park in Rouse Hill, the starting time depends on where we are headed. Everyone is welcome to come and throw some suggestions as to where we could take the cruise to. Cheers

funny some one can say that you will handle worse. I remember in my FD I was struggling to go around corners becuase my rear was too light and couldnt grip well. I put a sub and an amp in and it handled heaps better with the weight over the rear tyres. Looks better than sand bags too lol. And even if your setup is 50kg+, whats that going to impact on a 400awkw car? 0.002 quater mile difference? Everyones car represents who they are and what they like. Its like the clothes you wear, dont listen to anyone else that gives you shite about what you choose to do. Its not even worth commenting back to them.

The show was good. A pity they only used half the arena so they had to try and fit alot of car stunts in a tiny space. Imagine what they could have done with the whole arena? But then where would they park the 30 cars they brought with them I guess. I arrived early so I got to have a good look at all the exhibits. Didnt see you among the 10 thousand attendees Gem, maybe next time lol.

I putt around in an 08 red gti peugeot normally. The 32 probably comes out once a fortnight to keep cobwebs from forming. I will give my opinion after my session tonight. Good to know that I should get in early to see some exhibits before hand.
