  1. (minus the odvious SAU vic membership and cams L2S license which ill need), is this event suitable for someone who has never done any formal circuit racing/driving before?
  2. actually its not a bad idea, p platers in there first year can of had very little road experience, vs a p-plater who's had there license for several years. i think its a good idea to identify 1st year p-platers
  3. as per topic does anyone have any information (calculations or rules of thumb would be great) for trumpet/runner length in a individual runner/tb setup on a naturally aspired motor thanks james
  4. what engine is the sandwhich plate for?
  5. if you have any economical way of getting it to melbourne, ill take it
  6. not many stock r33 gtst's around
  7. interested in a swap for a RB30ET powered r31. has kings/kyb suspension, brand new c-drive yoko tyres, FMIC, FUll 3" exhuast and cat converter, manual, heavy duty clutch, LSD (not installed), 300zx front brakes, all brand new discs/pads (ebc and imported from US firepower pads). Twin rear swaybars, awesome sleeper. has done 14.9@95mph with no cooler, no LSD, crap tyres, and the rear brakes were binding (LOL, didn't have alot going for it, heaps of potential).
  8. CAS is crank angle sensor
  9. to the best of my knowledge u can't get camber kits for live rear axle?
  10. as per topic my r31 has a habit of chopping out rear tyres on the inside with its last couple of sets. not too severly, but enough to limit the lifespan of the tyre. Being live rear axle adjusting toe and camber seems impracticle. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts?
  11. when it gets really hot next and won't start, check if it has spark (timing light), if its got no spark, then its your CAS.
  12. s13/z31/r31 is all that fits don't even dream of using r32/33/34 front suspension bits, multilink vs mcperhson strut
  13. G Grid II's dry 2 wet 1 value: came free on my rims suck, would never buy them S760's dry 3 wet 3 value : 7, good cheap tyre for the money A539's dry 7 wet 7 value : 8 - awesome tyres, best non-exotic tyre IMO, shame they don't make them anymore C-Drives only done 500k's on them, so not pushing them yet dry 8.5-9 wet 9 (maybe more, i havent been able to get them to slide or spin yet!! value : 8 only cost a lil more than A539's, but a more than worthy successor, best tyre ive ever used
  14. even so, i think all the n/a's use a push type just to check though, take a picture under the car of where the slave cylinder sits and post it up
  15. your n/a will probably use a push type clutch, youll have to check series 1 rb25 uses push, this clutch will fit your n/a if you have push type series 2 uses pull, can't use this
  16. if u want to upgrade brakes, u need import or z31 struts. aus struts have 90mm caliper spacing and single piece hub/rotor. both of which make upgrading to better nissan stuff impossible.
  17. by the sound of it is never a good indiciation when my r31 was first boosted it had the stock exhuast it was quieter than a hyundai excel. the car could of had n/a work, multi-throttles aftermarket ecu, cam etc. thing is, u never really know what the other guy has got. i remember the look on a xr6 ba p-platers face....
  18. there are some freak rb30e's that with just an exahust move quite quick. and how are u sure it just had an exhuast?
  19. your in SA you have the idiots at regency to deal with they don't care about engineers certificates, they consider themselves the foremost experts in the ADR's. go speak to them to ask if THEY will approve it
  20. becareful, you may find that the motor is stuffed if the timing belt is gone, or its bent valves of course u might be lucky and have no damage done
  21. does your oil line have a restrictor? from my understanding a BB turbo requires a restrictor in the oil inlet line.
  22. if its a different "size" thats cause u would of got a VL turbo clutch all the clutches EXCEPT VL TURBO are the same size. HOWEVER 33 gtst's use a PULL TYPE clutch, 32 gtst's use a PUSH type. if your car has a pull type then u need a 33 "turbo" clutch, if your car has push type then it needs a 32 "turbo" clutch
  23. also interested to know, i used to use A539's, and seeing as these are the replacement for them, id like to know how they compare
