Got to love the rhetoric on the enviromental value of second hand cars ,- how many of us on here actualy have brand new cars I wonder---. I for one know that between keeping my R34gTt and the missus's PT Cruiser on the road in good seviced order I'm Donald Ducked if I could afford a third,-- newby or anything else.

It may pay to check if a previous owner has put in a TCS modifier this reverses the switch function (so you have to turn it on not off after you've started the engine) and is hard wired in near the tcs control unit in the boot. I was going to put one in but decided against it for no particular reason after I'd bought it. It may have been poorly installed or removed and have damaged the wireing. Just a thought.

Thanks for that,I've been working on my experiance with a previous WRX that I upgraded the sway bars only and quite frankly I may as well not have bothered, but when I changed out the OE plastic links for cast alloy and installed heavy duty rear mounts the whole thing came together and started working beautifully. I've no experiance with the Skyline ones so I'm at sea as to what will work best , I don't want to walk into a $500 bill thats actualy going to be an $850 bill if it's going to work properly. I think the rex cost me about $550 completely set up a couple of years ago when Whiteline was still Whiteline with reasonable prices not a friken Red Rover subsidery or whatever they are now.

Thanks for that, I'd be looking at 17x8 so a 225/235x45x17 on an R34GTT which dosen't get flog and I don't like WW3 going on with my tyres, I have read that the KU31 is quiet so that might be the go. I'm running Nexen 225x45 at the moment and they aint to bad just a bit squirmy at times.

Priced upgrade for front & rear swaybars +links on the Whiteline site the other day and came out with a figure around $850.00 for two swaybars and 4 links which is just too much money for two swaybars and 4 links FFS. So does anyone have any idea where more affordable swaybars/links can be sourced from ? Looking for 24mm front 22mm rear- R4GTT.

Me , Ive just changed my oil for Penrite HPR+10 (10X50) Semi Synthetic cost $39.98 +$12.00 for an OE filter. I'm sick to the back teeth with the oil bullshit, I change my oil every 3 to 4 months, I don't flog or track my car , except for the exhaust it's stock and don't put more than 3000Ks on it in that period. Whilst wanting to keep a high standard of maintenance I'm not going to give those farkin lying cheating bastard oil companys one friken cent I don't have to. If I was going to pound the crap out of my ride I'd maybe start singing a different tune. Just a couple of observations , the holes in the OE filter are quite small I wonder if this is a flow restriction effort ? I'm thinking that they were larger some time ago ?? Whilst Nissan still refuse to tell me what the recomended oil should be I noticed that two grades of Nissan oils were available for petrol engines a 7.5x30 and a 20x50, with the recent 15x55 15x50 HKS and Nismo racing recomendations makes you wonder ????

These 15x50 -10x60 weights all seem to be aimed at RB26s, GTRs and modded cars that likely get a flogin, hows about the RB25s like mine that dosen't get pushed around much atall ? I'm pissed with all oil brands ATM as none of the claimed synthetics, except Castrol, AFAIK, are actualy synthetic, they are all dino deridatives refined in the synthetic manner whatever the frak that means. 4lt of the HKS 15x55 = JPY9975 = AUS$124.395c , change every 3000ks. I thought the 10 x 40 would be ideal for everyday Australian conditions given that Nissans spec is 7.5x30 AFAIK , so what is actualy in the Nissan bottles ?? and is 15x50 a race floging only spec ?
