  1. Thanks for that ----- what is "fui,,,,," ?
  2. This is a good little head unit in nice condition working beautifully, 50w x 4 channel + theres and auxilary round socket at the back which I haven't got a clue what its for. It comes with a plug and play loom set up for Toyota , not locked, no manual unfortunately, hovever the wiring instruction are on the top of the unit- so it's all good . Detachable face. This may suit someone who is selling thier car and wants to keep thier realy good ICE but dosen't want the sale to suffer through haveing a cheap and nasty looking head unit or someone who just wants a realy nice head unit for not much money. The stereo is in Helensvale QLD , I'm asking $45.00 + post - or pick up . Post and pack will be 20 bucks .Please PM me if youre interested.
  3. Is this Japspec ?
  4. Just watchiing
  5. I'm thinking of buying an R32GTST , (pref manual) and if I can get a clean one I will , I live in Surfers and would want whatever I buy checked out by Auto Tech , I would pay for the check whether I bought or not. This poses a bit of a problem as the car would have to be close enough to actualy take it to Auto Tech which is in Labrador just next to Surferes Paradise. I know it's a bit orrf but I don't want a re spray re--anything sort of car even though there are some nice re--done ones out there I just don't want a re- one. Anyhoo if you've got an R32 thats nice and clean with a good service record and are in the Surfers neck of the woods give me a hoy
  6. Thanks for that, I am having the car totaly checked out next week so as long as theres nothing I can't fix, or get fixed, in time I'll be in it , it's just getting it's dealer roadworthy and we know that'll expose every fault ---AH HEM I like the idea of not much to hit.
  7. Skidding practise excellent idea , the tyres that are on are very good I'll post up exactly what they are when I pick up the car--oh yup ball joints are being done also .
  8. Mate if I could of found a clean 180 I would have bought it, the only good clean ones I found are at Motorman and there's too much on them IMO, they're a popular ride and this is reflected in the price. Also I think far fewer of the 180 's appear to have been imported than Skylines which again is reflected in the price and they're a 4, all good, cuts down on running costs. Thank for the warning on the oversteer it's appreciated , with the ammount of power this thing puts down I'm not suprised as the front end is obviously light. I'll be sourcing some coilys for it as the set up is way to harsh for our roads anyway. Bag of sand in the front maybe ?
  9. I'm interested could you post a pic up + what a rim wieghs ? the ones on the car now may look a little dated but they are 2 piece and very light.
  10. On the MY stakes it would be an MY90 (late 89 build/compliance ), it's a bit costly until you figure it includes all on roads warranty and it's near a minty, Redbook puts them at $9700.00 private sale, carsales has the same car, same year, advertised listings from about $10K and up to some silly prices, biggest is $26k I think , good luck to whoever is selling that one.
  11. Well folks the search is over. !!---but not quite as I expected. My thanks to everyone who helped me out with info , OUTSTANDING HELP. THANK YOU. The 180sx I saw today , well the less said the better, BUT, if you could pick it up for $9K and you didn't mind a fair bit of tidying , (about $3/4K would see you right) I recon you could have a very nice little ride as the base mods on the car are OK, (turbo/zorst/front mount). the pod is a shambles and needs giving the flick, I didn't drive it but I'd bet that it will drive ok, the rotors are unlipped and I'd think that the pads will be sweet..large amount of tidying all over to be done--the trick will be to get it for less than $10K , not my cuppa anyway. BTW the centre of the bonnet is now painted black so some of the pics on carsales are of this car -but not quite as it is now. paint is tidy but not more than tidy. I'd had enough and as I was just round the corner from motorman imports I ducked in and half an hour later ducked out with this- 89 MR2 Targa , Turbo, 135000kms, aftermarket 17's, with excellent Direza rubber, TRD tuning and suspension upgrades, excellent paint and interior, runs like a swiss watch, pulls like a mallee bull, gearbox tighter than a fishes. ---and brakes like ice skates --being fixed for roadworthy now , on road 6mnths rego and transfer fees included , with stat waranty $11500.00. TAKE IT AWAY ZIPPA-- Just as a note Motorman Imports have some very nice and varied stock on thier yard at reasonable asks thier phone is- (07) 38087512 WEB- motorman.com.au
  12. You'd be right about the crap --BUT-- Motorman Imports have two in stock right now I think they're both fresh imports they are $17/18000.00 ea, too rich for my blood BUT they both look very clean and tidy. here's the Ph No if you're interested 3808 7512.
  13. Thank you
  14. The hunt goes no-where I've got one last 180 to see on Thurs, then nada that I can get to without hassle. The whole 180sx marque (that I've come across) has been fraked by silly mods and owners who have obviously spent far to much time reading Fast Fours, then gone out and worked out every permutation of mod that either makes the car go slower of blows it up---then done them to thier unsuspecting 180s , though I have to say theres a goodly number of the same farkers who have applied the same logic to WRXs from what I've seen so far as well. This excercise gives a whole new reason for car dealers to exist , -and me the shits.. I think if I'm determined to get a 180 I'm going to have to bring one in ---actualy see if Kristian (Iron Chef) thinks there may be one worth bringing in first I have been looking at the R33GTS-t ser IIs on carsales and there seem to be some good ones around so I'm seriously thinking of saying farkit I'm back in a line , stop bitchin and eat the costs.
  15. So what is the car doing for boost control at the moment ?
  16. Thanks for the offer, good looking car looks well done but not quite my cuppa , good luck with the sale , that'll suprise a few unsuspecting people I'll bet
  17. GTiR Is this a Nissan ? I just had a look on carsales and couldn't find the marque. 'scuse my ignorance
  18. Tell' me about it, I sold my sterling 98 R34GT-t (big mistake) because I got the shits about Qld 6cyl rego frakin silly insurace and associated running costs and bought an Aus delivered 97 318is with 62000kms, all good until I found out the BMW charges $700.00 for a set of 4 plug leads--$840.00 for an AFM etc etc . I couldn't sell the frakin thing fast enough , it's now gone, I had it 2 months from pick up to piss off , I didn't loose any money anywhere but the upshot of my bad attitude is that I'm now searchig for another car I can like and I'm driving round in the wifes PT frakin Cruiser. here's pics of my now gone R34GT-t,
  19. I just sold a 318is E36 and the clutch had a slightly low take up point on it however I put this doen to wear, but I did find out that the take up point could be adjusted in the E30 and some other models (not the friken E36 though) it may pay to see if yours can be adjusted also if you're slave and master cylinders are ok--just a thought.
  20. True , but I have to hand it to some of these delusional flogopaths, they have to have taken a course in creational copywriying to be able to lay down the missinformation as they do , half the problem I think is that they believe the bullshit they're writing. I just love it the selective deafness routine when there is an untoward knock or rattle---'WHAT NOISE" accompanied by a disbelieving puzzled facial expresion that indicates that you are hearing things or are deranged , a piston could come through the side of the block and they'd still maintain- "that's normal--- for this engine" It's more of the same with the clutch that's about 20mm from the floor--"it's a performance clutch"--stated in such a manner as to indicate that anyone who didn't know that was a drongo. AAAAAARRRGGHH , Truly, it'd all be fine if it wasn't for the total and absolute frakin time it wastes.
  21. Damn , and the news keeps getting better , I wouldn't have thought it would be this hard
  22. Well another blowout I don't know how anyone can describe car as immaculate when the paint fade on the roof is through to the 1st layer of primer, and the rest aint far behind ,the drivline has a clonk that is almost certainly a universal but could be -worse- the diff, the clutch is 25mm from the floor and grabs like a bitch on gin, there's a rattle coming somewhere from underneath , exhaust/heat shields ? WTFWK and the interior is so tired that it's comatose , the car drove and stopped OK and after you'd spent about $4000.00 tidying it up, it may get to be described as a grade 3-- by an optimist. I was being asked $12K. cash, folding . Excuse me whilst I I'm going to see another one tomorrow , it'll likely be the last before I seriously consider bringing one in. over.
  23. Thanks for that, every bit helps , no sorry mate I didn't check out the Soarer , Transfer fees are @ 4% on a V8 in Qld and rego sits at about $1150.00 PA and I believe maintenance can be costly especialy if something less than minor goes oval , I think they are fantastic vehicles though , just not for me.
  24. Thanks again everyone great help Aint that grand, looks like a hefty few bucks has gone into that little beauty very nice indeed I've just cancelled the one of tomorrows I just noticed that the steering wheel had a six inch wear through wasn't untill I did a pic enhance that what I thought was a shadow became something else entirely. I'm heeding your advice and starting to look at the s14 and 15s , are these AKA Silvias ? sorry to be dim here but I realy just don't know.
  25. Wow talk about gleaming paint ! thanks for that , I'm going to see how I go after I've looked at the two 180s tomorrow, both seem very nice on paper, however at the risk of being negative so did the three wrxs I looked at last week and I've yet to find an enemy I hate enough to wish any of those little junk heaps on. I am optimistc these are a better proposition though. I'd realy like to have a look at an actual s14 and/or15 though as I'm just not familiar attall with any of this range.
