I agree with you there on the low price but you know how it is when you finaly make the decision to move on you like to just get on with it if I'm going to take a hit on this I'd rather take the hit and go forward than push for 2 or 3K more and end up taking a hit anyway--just IMO though. I'm selling my 98 R34GT-t Manual and I'm absolutely puzzled as to what to ask for it after being offered $7000.00 on a trade for a 99 BMW 318iS with $14990.OO. I'm begining to think I'm in for a bath or two , then I look at CARSALES and see most R34GT-t manuals at around $18000.00 and up so I feel a bit better. I'm asking $15990.00 for mine with stock wheels on here and $16250.00 with stock wheels on Carsales but I realy haven't got a clue whether I'm asking to much or shortchanging myself. Any thoughts anyone ?

Whilst the debate rages over co-operation hows about the whole compliance thing of good in one state and no good in another ? What of the warning for a person who buys a vehicle in good faith and of the understanding that compliance is , well , compliance, only to find that if they move interstate or sell the vehicle interstate they or the next purchaser may be up for another fat trip to the bank for a re-compliance , or whatever it's called , when they go to re-register / transfer the registration . I'm on my second import (the first one bought and sold in QLD )and this is something I sure didn't know until I read a post on here about a car that had gone from QLD to SA , never did catch up on the eventual outcome though , I think it was pay up and shut up for the purchaser . This realy helps resale values , ah hem , --or have I barked up a baloney tree ??

Thanks for the BMW info guys , I'm still recovering from the shock of being offered $7K trade for my near minty 98 R34GT-t with 84400ks against a 99 BMW 318iS with 105000 on it and priced very optimisticly , I thought , by the dealer @ $14950.00. In other words the dealer wanted $8K of me , which is around the wholesale price of the BMW + my R34GT-t to do the deal. I'm still wondering if I'd slipped through a temporal fiscal warp when I pulled onto the car lot . If I did I hope I walked back through it when I left.

Here we go , took these yesterday---another tip--you can wash the OE ones , warm water and woolwash soap, clean the folds out gently with an old toothbrush leave till absolutely dry , a quick hint of K&N filter oil and orf you go. click images to enlarge click again to supersize.

Asked the same question when I was having a custom job done on my exhaust and was assured that the OE exhaust is like dead pipe live pipe and that the dead pipe comes into play when you're on the loud pedal.

I'll be putting it on carsales tomorrow as now I've decided to sell I'd like to move it along but at tha rate it's going I may still have it in a couple of months. I'm wondering if I've put it on to cheap and people think theres something wrong with it , I looked on carsales and all the ones roughly comparable were asking about 3 or 4 grand more.

Redbook is my friend--and I'm English so-- Just as a thought is the 318iS a timing belt or timing chain don't worry it's just the tensioners jobby. Anyone know what the Beemer website is called I've googled a bit and keep ending up in the US . ?

No bigee just makes me cranky as all get out ,which is scarey cause I've always been a cranky shit to start with. I'm not looking at the M3's realy rather at the , I think , ES36 which is 318iS 4 potter 1996cc (or roundabouts) donk 2 door, only a littley realy, the RRP on a 99 was about $58k and the yard price now seems to be around $15500 and good ole Redbook putting them at $11.600 private and as low as $6800 wholesale. I am hoping someone on here may have one and want to do a deal , unlikely, but you never know.
