Geez the sau 1/4 times are a little slow! I would have though that with all the people on here someone would be doing a 11! Don't get me wrong my sx only runs 13.75 but it's got stuff all mods. I mean I thought skylines were fast?? My mates auto 300zx with less mods than others in the list would be no3 on that list plus he ran more mph(116.5mph) with std turbos, std i/c's, std ecu other than speed cut removed & rev limiter 500rpm higher, 245/16 falken tyres grb & a few minor other mods. And this is in a heavy, unreliable, overheating piece of junk 300ZXTT !!!

We also have 3 red 300zxTT's 2 seaters here. 2 0f i know have been to Willowbank 1 has run a best of 12.56 the other 13.8 & the 3rd one is owned by a old dude that wouldn't race it. At one stage there was 5 red ones here but one has gone to St George & the other went back to Brisbane.

The retread slicks are apparently ok to 12sumthing according to ANDRA or so i'm told! Mate ran 11.36@119mph on a set in a 304LX hatch. 1.6 60ft from memory?

Who do i hassle? Won't have any coin for about a month or 2 to buy the kit but i definitely will be getting one!

We have 2 R33's here 1 turbo/1 N/A. Turbo one is reasonably trick the HIFI mart in Toowoomba have done alot to it. It has trick intake manifold on it. He's going to have at the Brisbane Auto Salon apparently? New paint, bigger turbo & NOS?

All things going right i am going to run a low 13 in my gf's S14 with ecu remap, 3"CES exhaust,pod filter&partion, 15psi boost,optimax or ultimate with octane booster! Has run 13.75@102@willowbank (exhaust,pod&boost) but i am going to try retread slicks, ecu remap &tiny bit more boost plus it's auto!

so if i post on here does that mean i get the 10% disc? i want a cooler kit for the 97s14a

It depends on what sort of mechanic you are i guess! My mate is an aircraft engineer & the z is easy to work on compare to some planes! The z also has an awesome top end of around 275kph

I haven't seen a gts skyline run a 12.56 with the small amount of mods or money my friends 300zx has had done to it! The only reason people reckon they are a dud is because they have shitbox ones which you wwill get in any car & also because they read 2 many magazines & don't experience them in real life!

I think we all need to stop this pissing contest & realise that a TT300ZX with hotty bits is the best way to go!

Yes & no as you need big$$$ to but a gtr first. If you had a budget of $30 000 including buying the car a silva may win in the value for money stakes. ??????????

I did not say that a std gtr is only capable of low 14's i just said i have video footage that shows 2 gtr's running these times on probably the best drag strip in oz. No doubt they could be driven faster! I have ran 13.75@102mph @ willowbank with only a 3" exhaust, hot air pod filter & 14psi in my gf's 97 s14a auto(2.16 60ft) & i am going back down to willowbank on the 23rd aug to hopefully knock a few more tenths off this with cold air partion & chiptorque chip as i have seen a similarly stock s15 run 13.3 with like this which to me is more impressive than a gtr running mid 13's. I think the reason some people like pisnnissin are talking the way he is, is because the guys on nissan silva are bragging about beating the mighty gtr & if they didn't think it was fast then why would they brag about beating it? I mean i wasted a echo off the lights the other day & didn't i feel like a champion then! Obviously the gtr was sick or the driver crap or only having half ago, who knows but a wins a win!

what? the fj turbo is a twin cam! why the f@%k has it got such a huge cylinder head if its a single cam engine? On another subject can you get a 16 valve 4 cylinder engine with a single cam?

nismo 300kph speedo in it! also has calitec speed meter! He also has software to remove speed cut & upped the rev limiter 500rpm! just burn a new chip & away you go! as a joke another mate who's a radio tech, he copies the chips for MRz, gave him a blank chip without MRz knowing & anyways puts it in the z & the thing started & ran but wouldn't rev over 4000 from memory so there you go, car will still run with blank chip!

The 300ZXTT is a good value for money car but like every other import there is good & bad one's, They can make good reliable power without 2 many mods, eg mates makes abit over 200rwkw's with C.E.S twin dump exhaust, hks pod filter, timing advanced,good fuel & 14psi owes him around $2000 in mods but he did all the work himself (fitting etc) it does have some small mods like the non turbo auto transmission cpu, non turbo diff, 4ws removed & the std intercooler ducting improved but hasn't cost a heap of dollars & has run a best of 12.59@115mph or there abouts plus still has a top end of around 270 or so if you wanted to try it out.

Whats the story with the cops bending us over all the time? I thought Australia was a democracy, yet they get stupid laws passed all the time & we all just bend over & take it! I was told a story about when they tried to make not wearing a helmet on a motorbike in the USA illegal & lots of people jumped up & down and they got it thrown out yet we can get booked in Victoria for a couple of kph over the limit when according to the adr's car speedo's don't even have to be that accurate! So why do we we take it?

I thought i remember threading on here that BP & Shell were the same thing except for an additive because it was easier for BP to use optimax in QLD & add there extras to it & the same with Shell in NSW because of transport delays or something.

Yes 3000rpm convertor from dominator convertors, but you don't need to spend that much money to get one, you can get your std one done for $250-$300 from The convertor shop in Brisbane as i previously said. It may be an idea to even get a bigger trans cooler for longevity. And change the trans oil @ least every 20000km with genuine Nissan oil which is a synthetic, we get ours from the local Nissan dealer & just take in a 5L container & they fill it from there 44gallon drum. It only takes about an hour to change it, Its a good idea to remove the pan & clean the mesh filter as well, but make sure you clean it all perfectly as you don't want ANY crap getting into the internals of the auto, & from memory the gasket was about $50. My mate has been using Mobils auto trans replacement oil in his 300zx but changes it every 10000km or so which maybe another option but it is not synthetic, hence the reason he changes it more often.

From what i have seen the C.E.S twin dump systems seem to make similar top end to other 3" systems but they seem to make more mid-range power. My gf's auto S14 ran a best of 13.759@102mph@willowbank with C.E.S 3" HPC twin dump system, O2 rush pod filter & 14psi. It's best 60ft was 2.16 & i found that stalling it up on the line & having it just turn the tyres slowly then off the brake, i would get a little bit of wheelspin but because i had about 5psi off the line it would 60ft well. The fastest 200sx in Oz before the green ghost was a low 12 @ 120ish mph with std auto & 3000rpm dominator convertor. The skyline uses the same auto!
