  1. Boost peaks @ 16psi then drops to about 13psi. Best run was [email protected] but it was a street meet so i broke out, dialled in @ 14.3. I think it may have done a 13.99 by the end of the night if it was a test 'n'tune & could have got more runs in. STUPID me changed into 5th before the finish not thinking (4th is good for about 180kph) so it may have ran 100mph as well, best mph was 99.8 when it was still daytime. Chiptorques dyno reckons 121kw @ tyres.
  2. power tools? sounds interesting
  3. The test & tune i was in my gf's jungle green s14 200sx! still has std wheels etc. Was talking to you @ drag combat about r33 as at the time gf was looking at buying 4 door R33 but saw the sx & wanted that instead!
  4. na! my crapi is silver & uses the std ecu with chiptorque chip. http://www.drivelinechatter.com/members_de...=gizmo_17_43_56
  5. just realised who you were. I was talking to you @ drag combat & also the test & tune in august i think it was!
  6. I do a very very small burnout actually more lie a spin or 2 of the tyres after the water which i drive around just to get rid of any dirt, grass or water that maybe on the tyres not to heat them. This seemed to work very well for me & also for my mates auto 300zx which ran a best of 12.56 & best mph of 115mph that has only 210rwkw's using std turbos & intercoolers, injectors, fuel pump & only mod to cpu is speed limiter removed & rev cut 500rpm higher!
  7. mick 51 does your dad drive a 4 door r33?
  8. when i changed the restricted hose to a normal piece of hose it came on boost faster & also increased from 10psi to 14psi.
  9. And thanks to 200sx.org for this info
  10. Maybe it doesn't on line, BUT it did work on gf's s14!
  11. And where do i get the movie?
  12. Who is Kate Richie?
  13. 3.18 What's this about a free boost upgrade? It's true. You can get a 1-2 psi upgrade by removing the boost restrictor on the top of solenoid valve. It is identified by a white band on the hose which goes from inlet pipe to the solenoid valve. This pipe is at the top of the boost control solenoid. If you don't want to cut the hose, just get a piece of 1/4" fuel hose the same length, and replace the original hose with this new piece. Remember to reconnect all hoses. There is nothing left off or disconnected after this modification. Let me stress this again, There is nothing left off or disconnected after this modification. Take the car for a drive and watch your boost gauge. Make sure there is no major increase or decrease in boost level. If there is, stop and recheck your work! One or two PSI might not sound much, but remember that the export-spec cars run around 10psi (0.7 bar), this is up to twenty percent, or somewhere about 8-10 kilowatts at the rear wheels. On an S15, we saw 20KW at the wheels. Not bad for nothing! So, the obvious questions are, why does it work, and will it cause any damage? It works because removing the restrictor changes the pressure signal to the wastegate actuator. From the factory, it is designed to open slowly, and make the transition nice and gentle, by allowing the wastegate to "creep" open a little before we reach the preset boost limit. The restrictor is what causes this creep, by restricting the flow from the solenoid valve. Without it, the wastegate stays shut (or as close as mechanically possible) till the preset level is reached. The opening is now a "snap" operation. Will it hurt anything? We know of cars which have run this modification for 2-3 years without problems. If you fit an aftermarket boost controller, you generally take the restrictor hoses out anyway. Your mileage and durability may vary.
  14. yeah but i'm lazy! r33 as isaid this was my worry but after contacting brant they assured me turbo timer will work with my immobiliser but mine doesn't have the hand contoller it detects if the key tag is in range or not to set. Brant said that the 30sec timer delay on ignition cut etc would be 30secs after the car stopped or when the turbo timer turned off.
  15. yes! but if it doesn't you will have to yell at brant. This was my main worry as well but it didn't become one.
  16. has seperate pipe for wastegate, so has 2 pipes coming off the back off turbo
  17. Only 95mph for a 13? WTF this is 4wd mph! My gf's sx ran 2.16 60ft time with 102mph for its 13.75.
  18. nope! was told that the 30sec ignition delay would work after the turbo timer turned off!
  19. actually the roll on was from about 110kph or 70 mph! has: hks 2835 turbo's, hks 272 cams, 1.8bar boost & 70 shot of gas think makes better than 600hp @ tyres?
  20. I know they do the intercooler piping for ARE cooler kits!
  21. agree with hungry 6! go with custom exhaust specialists! Trevor is the man! hpc coated twin dump pipe systems are what he specializes in! He did the exhaust for mark ashfords drag 200!
  22. the 200sx is the same! change the hose to a normal piece of hose & you gain some boost! on the 200 the hose has a white band! We did this on gf's sx after the 3" exh system & filter & boost went from 10psi to 14psi

    street slicks

Thats right people nitto's are not dot approved, same as the mickey thompson street slicks! The retreads i was talking about were originally designed for use as a speedway tyre so i'm told & i'm sure they haven't had a failure with them! plus they are road legal so if you were a non law abiding citizen they give awesome traction at the lights!

    street slicks

Big tyre in Toowoomba can do a set of retreads that will be road legal but a really soft compound! Mates lx hatch ran 11.36 @119.6mph on them so this is a pretty good indicator! 60 ft times were mid 1.6's but he reckons high 1.4's/low 1.5's should be capable!?
  25. Drift king do the pipework for ARE's intercoolers i think?!
