  4. Well with the current turbo, its doing 272 KW at the wheels, so over 350KW at the Fly..
  5. Is there something missing from your car specs Mose? Like fuel? Compression ratio? Oversize pistons? Cams? Maybe a larger turbine inside the standard cover? I am perplexed as to why this one is a fair bit better than most. As far as I am aware It is tuned on Optimax (He recommends octane booster for High Boost - 18psi) It suprised me as well.. although the dyno chart speaks for itself, you will notice that the turbo is running at its peak, It simply cant push anymore... I was initally concerned with this (ie - Are the extra kw's worth the extra strain, but HKS Turbos are built tough {not indestuctible though} and providing the turbo is allowed to cool down/warm up, it should be okay) Of course If I run high boost constantly, Im asking for trouble.. I rarely hit high boost (I rarely drive the car, as It is for sale and I am keeping the K's down)
  6. Hey there, Well, It seems some people have "doubts" :bs!: to my claim of 272rwkw, and would like to see the dyno sheet.. And about the ratings, YES the 2540 is stated at quite a low ps figure, as several members stated above... So As you Can Imagine I was quite suprised , I believe a lot of it comes down to tuning skill, you can have 50K of Mods under your bonnet, but unless it is configured properly, you are wasting your time/money The guy who did the tuning, has built several tough cars (He has a 8sec beast) , Enough Yap , You got the Dyno Sheet??? I finally got it scanned in but The limit is quite small, about 100KB (The Original Hir Res pic was almost 300K)..., SO I had to Downsize it and whack the colour down, Its not too pretty, I can E-mail out a High Res one if anybody wants, but this should give you an idea...
  7. Also forgot to mention.. I had the Latest Microtech Computer installed and fully tuned... I will include set of standard Injectors, Radiator, HKS F-CON V Pro Version2.0 ecu and HKS GCC (Graphic Fuel Control Equaliser) All reciepts as well (There is a BIG pile of them!!)

  9. Its not too laggy at all, quite fun to drive actually.. While I had the engine built, I had a good look at the turbo, it is surely a HKS 2540.. I wanted a street car, not a drag car.. The suspension is very stiff in my car so when the turbo hits boots, all the torque hitting the rear wheels (with the stiff suspension) results in moderate wheelspin.. It is my understanding that Drag cars have much softer rear suspension, so when the turbo hits boost (in a turbo RWD) all the torque hitting the rear wheels is "cushioned" with the softer suspension... (Resulting in less wheelspin) Personally I would highly recommed it (the 2540) as it a weapon on the road, especially in 1,2 and 3rd... It is the best low mount turbo there is... I will post a pic of my dyno sheet up soon.. You WILL Notice that the turbo runs out of puff though at that boost setting. It hits 272rwKW then drops down about 8Kw... Keep in Mind that I run Low Boost (14psi = 254rwKw) and High Boost (18psi = 272rwKw) Not a whole lot of difference... I very rarely hit High boost, 254rwKw is still a bit of fun!!
  10. I hear Hairspray also does the trick, but cops even check for that.. When I got pulled over a few months ago the cop defected my car, but had a "close" look at the plates... I guess he had a whiff? Its not really worth the trouble, just dont speed.. (easily said)
  11. Its pretty awesome, It doesn't have cams though.. Full specs are in the For Sale section.. It is a real blast to drive on the street. It also has the stock plenum & stock manifold (the 2540 is probably the largest low mount turbo for the RB25DET) - Helps when cops pull you over... check out www.geocities.com/r33forsale for under bonnet pics
  12. I have a HKS2540 (running 18psi) on a r33 GTS-T. It pushes 272KW at the RW, But will not go much higher than that.. Its still a lot of fun though...

  18. Geez, I have seen heaps of Kakimoto skyline pics.. BUT when I saw one in the flesh, Damn it was mindblowing.. Words dont do it justice.. For those in the ACT - See the Red one at Fast & Furious Imports in fyshwick... Its well worth the short trip!
  19. Skyline Imports Does them.. I think Or talk to J-Racing (They do a full wide body conversion of s15's for around 5K, Probably the same for a Skyline. A genuine Widebody Kakimoto r33 GTS 25t (275's on the front / 335's on the rear!!) was sold this week here in A.C.T, It had only 11,000 KM, was in mint condition, and bog stock.. It fetched 65K!!!!!!!!! Id rather get a r34 GTR!!

  21. I was working for a bit at the door.. The Musuem is such a huge venue, that although there was over 500 people, it still looked quite empty..(If everybody from Ignition & Mothership was at the musuem, it would still look "small") The afterparty at Stylus was huge.. I got the chance to Meet Dj Green Lantern (50 cents / Eminens' DJ) - I rocked up at the Canberra airport in the Skyline to pick him up!! he is a fan, I was launching the car nonstop!!!... (He will probably buy a couple of GTR's when he gets back to the states!!! he he)

  24. SYDNEYKID, True, I actually cracked a o-ring, and (not that I think about it) should have bought a standard rb25det, but at the time - decided to make it a weapon.. It is a awesome car to drive but has soooo much more potential. Maybe the person that buys it will go and fit a huge turbo.. (The rest of the car can easily handle it) INASNT is right about the 2540 not being too stressful on a stock motor.. Which gives peace of mind as I have a prepped motor...
