Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone knows the cheapest place for Motul 6100? I'm currently running Royal Purple, but since converting to E85 figured I'd use cheaper stuff and just increase the change interval. Thanks.

I could throw it in a $11 satchel. or would you like me to get a quote from the PO? -
Time to clear out the shed. Parts are all good working order unless stated otherwise. I'm in the Northern Subs of SA if you want to arrange pick up (maybe drop off if I'm headed your way). Otherwise you pay for postage. ITEM 1 R33 GTS-T S2 (car was actually a 1.5) ECU, $80 ono ITEM 2 Stock S2 rb25det AFM, $30 ono, actual condition unknown (I think it's fine, no S2 to test it on) ITEM 3 Stock S2 Throttle body, $50 ono ITEM 4 6 X Genuine Nissan Oil Filters 15208-53JOA (comes with the copper washers too), $50 ono ITEM 5 Genuine Nissan Diff Gasket 38320-15UOO $15 ITEM 6 Turbo Gasket kit to suit stock R33 turbo, top oil feed gasket is missing, $20 ITEM 7 Stock RB25DET Ext. Manifold heat shield, Painted with blue heat paint (no guarantee it won't catch on fire might have some scratches on the side too), $10 ITEM 8 R33 BOV adapter, $10 ITEM 9 Coil Valley cover, Rubber on the outter edge is cracked, but it still works , $10 ITEM 10 Cam gear timing belt top cover thing, what you see is what you get, $15 ITEM 11 Polished Throttle Body adapter for Greddy style forward facing plenum, allows stock TB to fit FFP. Never installed $20 ono (I need to see if this comes with bolts too) ITEM 12 Stock RB25DET intake plenum / manifold, as you see it. I'll do my best to round up all the bolts/gasket etc. It's been sitting outside under cover (may come with some free pet spiders Is also missing the bottom water pipe and AAC. Worked fine when it was in my car. $20 I also have a stock BOV and JJR 3" dump/front pipe I've PM'ed WTBers. If they fall through I'll post them up here. Happy Shopping!

I don't understand why E85 is so expensive (same as LPG) we're actually getting ripped off. Is it taxed the same as normal petrol? Hmm could alway make your own ethanol I guess

Unless you need big power or have big $$ to spend NisTune is an excellent option. It's all about expectations and budget

Heh.. just used the search function for my number plate, was wondering if anyone spotted my car. I only ever use that pump/station.
-
Bostworx got it going: in a nut shell - Fuel lines backwards... I tried that, so it may have been a combination of things like old battery/fuel pump etc. I just didn't go back and try the fuel hoses after the other "fixes" because I crossed it off the list. Thanks to those who tried to help.
-
I'm pretty sure I had good earth to the plenum. I'll add a strap anyway. If I recall correctly the only place that wasn't earthed was the fuel rail. I figured that was by design due to the black plastic bushes?
-
I give up. I'm towing it to BoostWorx
-
For the record. My CAS worked fine in the other car also.
-
Just tried a different Coil loom and CAS from a working S2. Still no go
-
a little help anybody?
-
I just connected the test light to the positive side of the engine bay fuse box and touched the head, block, manifolds and the light glows bright. So the earth must be good. Is it possible to disconnect the coil loom and stick a multimeter on the pins of the plug? If anyone can tell me the proper method (multimeter setting, where to put each lead etc. What values I should get with the ignition on).
-
Cant be.. It's a S2 I'll check the earth under the hood tomorrow. I don't think that's it though.

OK.. I've had my car off the road since Easter. I did the 100,000 service myself (water pump, timing belt etc.). I figured while I was doing that it would be a good time to install a forward facing plenum, Q45 TB, adj. cam gears, ext. manifold, new intercooler + piping. Long story short it's been nothing but problems. I think everything is back together correctly.. The thing is when I crank it, there doesn't seem to be any spark. I get code 55 - all ok via consult What I've tries thus far: Checked all plugs etc connected new battery new earth lead to neg. terminal new lead from positive lead to fuse box in boot spinning CAS with ignition on (injectors click) reversing the fuel lines in case I got it backwards test light jammed in a coil (no sparks when cranking) Any advice would be appreciated. other stuff on the car that worked fine before I messed with it: RB20ECU with nistune daughter board T04 splitfire coilpacks Z32 AFM Bosch fuel pump

Q About Coolant Lines For Q45 Tb On Ff Plenum

I live in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. I drive to the gym at 5am almost every week day, so in winter it could be as low as 0°C I guess -
Q About Coolant Lines For Q45 Tb On Ff Plenum
DJ-Static posted a topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'd just like to clarify before I go ahead and plumb everything up. Please let me know if you see a problem with this: Step 1: Take this hose and connect it to this side of the TB Step 2: connect this side of the TB and T it to the other line in yellow (read from bottom up) Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks!
