Hey everyone.
I've got a 32 gts-t that I bought several months ago, but I don't actually have my licence yet, I'm on my Learners (have been for a while - laziness) and haven't got around to getting my Ps yet because I haven't been working.
Now with the new laws that are coming in, I'm not going to be able to drive my car until I'm on my full licence, as I can't get my Ps in time before September 4, the date the laws are in effect from.
My basic, rough plan is to remove the turbo on the RB20 and just drive it N/A for a couple of years, and spend that time working on the body/suspension/brakes etc, and once I was on my full licence either look at putting the turbo back on or upgrading to a different motor. And yes I know it won't be fun driving an N/A 2L for 2 years.
1. Is this even a good idea or is it going to be a whole lot harder than I think?
2. What in particular do I need to change (turbo removal obviously, but manifolds, AFM, tune, exhaust (it has a 3" turbo back at the moment), throttle body?)
3. Are there any other factors I'm not aware of that will need addressing?
I don't particularly mind the stupidity of removing the turbo and then putting it back on again 2 years later, or if I lose a little bit of money, I just want to drive my car.
Cheers guys
