  1. You'll be glad to hear that I did do a quick "slow" lap around Mt Panorama whilst I was in Bathurst, I had the family in the car and the wagon was loaded with gear so I just done a nice cruisy trip around with a quick stop at the top of the mountain to let the little guy vent some energy in the cool play ground. I havn't spotted any imports, not even a Skyline as of yet. Cheers
  2. On an addition note, there would appear to only be one source of 98 RON fuel in Cowra. The small BP near McDonalds just out of the town centre have BP Ultimate on tap, cost me over $1.40 a litre but I'm just glad I tracked down a servo who had it. On an additional note the entrance to the Coles carkpark is not very front bar friendly, especially when you go in a bit hard lol Got the attention of some of the locals though but made me grimace, nice impact. Anyway, howdy from sunny countryside Cowra, be here for another week yet so I might track down a Stagea or maybe a Skyline between now and when I head back to Blacktown.
  3. That would have been Iain (ziel20l), must be a dirty weekend away with the missus!! Busted! Probably even worse if he didn't take his missus, could be some gossip on this one. Nice spotting
  4. Any Stagea's in Cowra? I've done a bit of a driving but not seen any around yet.
  5. As previously mentioned in this thread the light *should* come on when the system estimates there is a range of 50km's left in the tank. If you have a pop-up information screen you can check the current range which is based on the average usage. If your right on empty the light should have already come on, perhaps the bulb is blown or something? Or your fuel tank is way out and there is still over 50km's left in the tank. However if you have traveled 600kms you would be on empty so something is up, might be worth getting it checked out. I've got the japanese nav disc in mine and the nice lady tells me in japanese when it's time to consider a fuel stop.
  6. Happy birthday you old codger! I would bring a beer around for you but I'm currently in Cowra.
  7. I would take a guess and say maybe Synchro or Snow modes? My switch is located near the tiptronic shifter and has both modes (M35 2001). Maybe you only have Synchro, that would be my guess.
  8. It's a pink one too, that might have been me Has the stock wheels too, looks very much like mine.
  9. Mine is just the same, nothing like driving along the F3 with the fuel light on and the needle past Empty and waiting for the cough and splutter lol The few times I have done it she has made it through to a servo on pennant hill road, so there must be a nice little reserve of fuel.
  10. No. the PM35 (VQ35DE) are now being complianced. You will find several up for grabs at Northshore Prestige, have a squiz at their website.
  11. Try import monster, you might track down a bargain from japan. I too have the aero kit but fortunately my plastic covers are black and not the same colour as the front bar so they don't stand out quiet as well.
  12. Sounds like time for a GCG rebuild. $500 won't cover much unfortunately, not even a standard flow steel impellor rebuild. Still worth a shot though, especially when the car has only been recently purchased. Give the dealer a ring anyway and voice your displeasure, worth a shot. Good luck!
  13. There are a few kits I like but at the moment I'm comparing styles & prices etc. I will hopefully do a full respray one of these days and would like to do a complete new kit with rear wing thing as part of the process.

  15. The best solution by far is the obvious one.... Keep the car as it is, it looks awesome.... Just sell up and get another new house Easy stuff really!
  16. Welcome aboard, hope you enjoy your new purchase
  17. I'll be saving a copy, thanks I'm sure it will come in handy, I'm yet to check my fusebox to see if anything was removed during compliance for any reason.
  18. Spotted a white C34 with heaps of work gear on the roof racks at the intersection at the bottom of Kariong Mountain (near West Gosford shops), gave him a honk and he gave a wave and then off he went up Kariong Mountain. It may have been the white car I have mentioned previously that is for sale, however didn't see the back window so I'm not 100% positive.
  19. Not bad Eugene, however I prefer the clearance issues I have with my RS gotta love the Nismo S-Tune suspension, I can scrap the front aero kit on practically anything
  20. lol Iain reckons he is quiet a stud, just ask him!
  21. might be all those burnouts on wet concrete you have always suspected your gearbox had issues, maybe it's related.
  22. Spotted one very nice C34 RS4S (I hope that's right, the manual version), white looked very clean. Anyway, noticed it was for sale and got talking to the driver who said it was his wife's daily, just had a 100,000 km service and they have to sell to upgrade as they have kid number 4 on the way. He has it advertised on one of the car selling things but I suggested he come and post some pics and information up here so hopefully he does that. In very good condition, he brought it from a importer in newcastle a few years back and it is pretty much as it was when he got it then (standard) and you can tell it's had the tender loving touch of a mother http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=126DDD48C01B
  23. Northshore Prestige now have stock of the PM35 (350) non-turbo's. They have several on their website if he is interested.
  24. I spoke to Tom about 2 weeks ago, said they had just got something new in but they had not tested it yet. They were hoping to do it that afternoon, I have not had a chance to ring him to check yet. Should I assume that it failed to read the ECU too? He did say if it did that sending them to Korea may be the only option.
  25. ... but if you want to be james bond... you need something that can pretend to do it all... you know..
