Try one of these http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=h...title=2%205%205 Let me know if they any good lol I think I will hold out for the ECU remap/tune
-
Iain... no comment but to say get f**ked As for the pink stag, love the gullwing (??) doors? That's an awesome mod. The front spoiler is a bit straight up and down and bland?!
-
Doesn't sound quiet right, they are definatly fuel chewers but not quiet that bad. This is part of the reason I'm looking into the ECU retune (remap) option as I'm just burning too much fuel, mind you I tend to drive in manual shift all the time and I'm not always gentle on the pedal Has your car had any mods you don't know about maybe? I assume the turbo is standard or has it been high-flowed? Jetwreck (Craig) was talking some pretty shocking figures last night at the meet in reference to his high-flow. He said he gave the pedal a good workout and his fuel economy dropped to 1.5L - 2L to a KM or something like that lol. How hard does your car pull in manual shift mode under full boost?
-
That's ok, we had discussed a cut off point and it was only going to keep climbing, the other bidder was pretty keen for it. No worries dude, keep eyes peeled for another one

Depends where you are coming from, there is a small group of us meeting on Abbott Road, Seven Hills (Opposite Macca's & BP) around 2pm for departure about 2.30pm, going to Rhodes via the M2 motorway. If this suits, your more than welcome to join us.

Someone got the ECU They started jumping it up and took it from $39 to $104 AUD, someone (not sure if it was Iain) was competing with them via Import Monster but alas the other person got it Oh well, the search for a test ECU resumes.
-
Spewing, hopeful it won't cost too much and won't be off the road too long. If this meet goes well we will have to do something every 3 months or something. Out of interest how many km's has your M35 done? Just wondering if it's distance or hard driving that has caused the problem, that's the first time I've heard of anyone with a universal joint problem since I brought my M35 (February 09).
-
Definately not a stag, so you can all relax, don't do it, when you want to get to it...
-
I probably won't bring any food but will have 20 copies of FAST 2009 JDM so anyone who gets a copy has to throw me a bread crumb Hopefully the weather tomorrow will be as pleasant as it is today, the car still needs a good wash and vaccum, early night tonight so I can get to work early in the morning lol

lol jealousy is a curse isn't it?! You must have an obsession with pink bits

Taking that into consideration the important numbers are A56-R12 ? The L31 2521 is the serial number? Might explain why there is a bolder version of A56-R12 at the top of the printing on the left-hand side.
-
I just came across this one on a gogglie search http://translate.google.com.au/translate?h...l%3Den%26sa%3DG This one has a slightly different number though, A56-R12 L31 2521, would be interesting to know what all the numbers mean

Way to go, thanks Iain I agree that 1200-1400 is expensive but it depends on the outcomes IMO, if the tune via a remap can get better results than a piggyback I'm all for it, I just need to win the lottery Also bare in mind that prices includes 4wd dyno runs etc etc to get the best tune for the vehicle being remapped, once they have done a test we'll have more of an indication of the price range and benefits etc.
-
The alternative to an E-Manage Ultimate, an ECU remap may be in the pipeline! Courtesy of Cam (iamhe77) we have located a suitable ECU for testing and development. Once we have hold of this ECU I may need to call on people willing to go in and have their M35 4wd dyno tested and let the guys at Silverwater Automotive Service do their business. It's going to cost roughly between $1200 - $1400 for the initial vehicle mapping but if you do further mods and require a retune the price is greatly reduced the second visit. I would like to be the first one to do it but I've got to watch money at the moment as I'm out of work with a job in the pipeline that should have come through weeks ago. Hopefully I'll be back at work soon but until then I can't outlay that money. When I start working though the Stagea will be commuting about 150km a day so I'll be in a hurry for better fuel efficiency If anyone else wants to be on the leading edge of this technology, let me know!! I know quiet a few of you are interested in the outcome of the initial testing and development, so we'll need to make sure everything is posted up and all information in provided in a thread.

Sweet, looks like it's got real nice curves... oh and the car looks bonza too I'm going to try and get some relies to buy a few copies and post them over, I'll see how I go.
-
Thanks guys, that settles my mind at ease then!

Just wondering if anyone can explain HICAS in a bit more detail. I'm looking at an M35 RS 250T ECU, but it was from a HICAS vehicle. I'm wondering if the HICAS runs without communication with the ECU? I want to make sure the mapping will be as similiar as possible to my ecu.

Who Has Factory Cruise Control In Their M35?
Bis-e Bee replied to mxfly's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I haven't seen or heard of an M35 with factory cruise control yet. So not sure if you will find one here -
You stop being logical too ok
-
Must you always be so logical!! I'll try the original avenue first, as in tell them I do not want a rattle gun used to remove or fit the wheels, ask that they be done by hand with a tool and they take all care possible not to damage the wheels. I think for some strange reason I thought Nissan would be a little more gentle and a lot more professional than backyard bob and his dodgy sidekicks
-
It was done by Nissan during the 60,000km service I had done yesterday. They had the wheels off to check brakes and suspension etc, they ended up replacing front brake pads, machining the discs and doing a tyre rotation. You would think when you were paying big bucks to the dealer that they would be a little more careful. Don't get me wrong the wheels were not immaculate, they were already scratched but they are far worse now I'm just hesitant to fit nice new wheels to it if that's how they are going to treat them when they use the rattle gun, it's not that hard to be careful it just takes a little effort. Argh!!!! lol

It's for testing and development, he doesn't want to risk frying one that belongs to someone's vehicle. So that is why he is after a spare ECU so he can play. I actually popped into SAS today and said hello to Tom, top bloke.
-
It won't just be the shirt either, he'll have the matching boxer shorts on
-
I've just had a look at the catalogue and these wheels have the same exposed alcove where the nuts go, except that area is painted black A few wheel rotations and they are going to be chewed up and marked on the inside of the holes too Yes, I'm fussy!

closed eh? quiet literally I feel sorry for any cute babes that attend the event, I'm sure the open for business sign will be on the window of your wagon before you know it
