  1. Nah he would have said that if that's what he thought, he hinted that it is NOT a suitable solution. Just wondering why he believes that is the case.
  2. I've noticed you obviously have something up with TS, wat's the prob bob?
  3. And it has the Maxima (2010) wheels I like, they are 19"s x 8's or something on the maxima but they will probably be staggered on the infinity.
  4. Has the Nismo ECU been tested on a stock m35 yet? Interested to know how much the improvement is.
  5. Pics attached Now I've had a real good look at the sticker it would appear it was done aftermarket at some point in the cars japanese life before it immigrated
  6. It was not the factory sticker, it was an dodgy little japanese tyre shop job above the factory sticker. I would say they had 18's fitted after, or maybe the 18's were a factory option and they upgraded to the ar-x wheels. The factory RS was 17 you are correct, but I'm poining out that at some point it had 18's in 235 fitted... hmmmmm nice.
  7. That is a sweet ride, I wouldn't mind one in the drive way next to my 2001 Stagea Shame they are N/A though, a VQ35DETT would be a monster of a car
  8. not sure if this helps but a while ago on my r31 my indicators started flashing fast, you could even hear the relay and see from the light within the cabin that it was going twice as fast as normal. in my case, it turned out to be a globe on it's way out, wash still flashing and didn't appear damaged to look at but when I took it out and put a new globe in it's place everything went back to normal.
  9. I hope he didn't kill the nismo ecu! Would be a worry if it has carked it.
  10. Yep, I'm pretty sure that was it says. I was just bummed out that they took the 18's off and put the stock 17's on May have been done in australia before or during compliancing.
  11. Slightly off topic, read a little sticker above the factory wheel sticker this afternoon only to find out that it was running 235/50/18's. argh that they put back on the stock 17's. ok, now I have vented.
  12. What you driving now? I assume this was the car you drove to the Superlap @ Eastern Creek a couple of weeks ago?
  13. Maybe if you actually supply a photo of the deck he can help, but as I have the single din stereo in my RS I have no idea. I have an Aux button on mine that takes the signal from the analogue tv tuner (oem) in the back of the vehicle. I wonder if the MD is wired directly into the deck itself or if it's cables run back to the analogue tv tuner?! There should be a button on the stereo that allows you to play from the md.
  14. x2 this kind of stuff is the pits, may they painfully rot in hell
  15. I'm interested to know why mine has never overheated or reacted funny. I spent most of my time in manual shift mode and most of the time it's driven hard (close to redline), never had an issue with the box. Makes me wonder if something has been done or added to fix this issue.
  16. Good day for spotting today, drove from Blacktown to Gosford and spotted 2 AR-X's about 30 minutes apart. Both were even the same colour! (champagne I think it's called). Spotted the first on Pennant Hills Road, he was turning off onto a side street, exchanged flashes of lights and a quick hoot. Next was on the F3, near Berowra King M35 passed me in the fast lane and we exhanged hoots. So there you go, a good day for spotting!
  17. I'm not ready to buy mine yet unfortunately but I did get a price of $424.00 (plus $15 express post to Sydney) from Boostn Imports in Brisbane (they are a SAU trader).
  18. Turbosmart Nissan Dual Port (TS-0205-1026) is a direct replacement of the factory unit and can support increased boost levels (highflow) you can get away with the Kompact Plumb Back but only if you are not going to dial up the boost level. The dual port comes in at around $460 and can be configured to be vent to air/plumb back etc. Obviously vent to air is illegal but I'm still going to give it a quick go to see what she sounds like
  19. They were surprised when I told them what the stock turbo puts out, as soon as I said I would be looking to tune to about 18 - 20psi they stated the kompact unit wouldn't be suitable. I probably would've gone for the bigger unit anyway but I just wanted to suss it out.
  20. duplicated post
  21. I just rang Turbosmart to get the low-down on what the most suitable BOV is for the M35. The Kompact Plumb Back - Nissan (TS-0203-1226) is suitable for the stock ceramic turbo and for a GCG Highflow PROVIDING you don't turn up the boost. So that is pretty much a no go for those who wish to dial up the power output in regards to PSI. The best option for a higher PSI is the Nissan Dual Port (TS-0205-1026), as mentioned earlier you cannot run the trumpet due to the restricted space, it is recommended you don't have the trumpet on and block the outlet (Turbosmart have a Port Blanking Plug that does the job). The unit would have to operate as 100% Plumb Back (which was what I'm after anyway). I've just had a quick look on the net and the pricing is around $460.00 for the Nissan Dual Port. If anyone can offer any feedback on the Nissan Dual Port please do
  22. Possibly Nick (Goldzilla), he has a green machine and lives very close to the Seven Hills area. I'm sure he will pipe up and let you know if it was him.
  23. Spotted Andrew (Wolverine) @ ASR Automotive, Castle Hill. He showed up as I was about to leave so I also spotted his Skyline
  24. It could be the Kompact Plumb Back for Nissan 2010, that states Stagea (ALL models) compatibility, not 100% on the dual port though.
  25. I can't confirm 100% but I was just reading something on Turbosmart and it may be fact that the Dual Port will NOT fit the vq25det with the trumpet fitted, so either drop the trumpet or opt for the Kompact Dual Port.
