  1. Hey Chris, I would doubt compatibility of any R Skyline BOV due to the VQ engine. I could be incorrect but I doubt they would be a straight bolt on. I was looking into a TurboSmart Dual Port BOV but I've put it off until the ECU's are remappable and the highflow turbo project get's underway. I'm trying to think off the top of my head who may have done an M35 BOV replacement and the only one I can think of has sold his Stagea and downgraded to a Lexus or something like that LOL
  2. From memory it is a 10% discount with GCG. Hypergear may quote on a bush bearing upgrade, which of course will be cheaper than the GCG steel bearing option.
  3. Spotted James (MasterJDoggy) at Blacktown, all of 2 cars turned up for an informal meet! lol
  4. Huge turn-out let me tell you! 2 cars :| Teren (Tangents) got called into work, the only people to show up was myself and James (MasterJDoggy). Oh well, maybe next time eh!
  5. J-Spec Imports are melbourne based, may be worth having a browse of their website. They show auction and dealer cars currently in Japan, if you want to pick one to import. Just on a quick look of their site to give you some examples I found: Auction Cars (Japan) http://www.j-specimports.com.au/auction/20...on-4403811.html http://www.j-specimports.com.au/auction/19...BO-4403814.html http://www.j-specimports.com.au/auction/19...UR-4403816.html http://www.j-specimports.com.au/auction/19...hV-4431611.html Dealer Cars (Japan) http://www.j-specimports.com.au/dealer/199...UR-3754787.html http://www.j-specimports.com.au/dealer/199..._V-3754779.html Personally I would be aiming for something with under 100,000km's, on the plus side if you have the 100,000km service done by a reputable workshop atleast you have some assurance that it's been done properly. That's just my take on it, cars 100,000km plus are going to show a lot of interior and exterior wear and tear.
  6. http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=h...5%20NISMO%204WD Found these Nismo S-Tune's on IM, give you a good indication of what height these will take you too, has front and back shots. Quiet informative. But not adjustable, I have also heard good comments on the Tein Superwagon which are also adjustable (http://www.nengun.com/tein/super-wagon), you can even get a set-up to adjust from inside the cabin lol (wank factor? maybe )
  7. And don't let the meeting point turn you off, once we have all arrived we can always discuss a cruise to somewhere else! Hope to see other M35's, it's starting to look like I'll be an orphan
  8. Gerry, have you ran a check for error codes yet? The system may know what is wrong and give you an indication of where to look. Worth a check before you take it to a specialist, could be something easily repairable by yourself or a small time mechanic. Good luck.
  9. I was going to say something similar but was afraid I would offend So I refrained, but walked away wondering why you would cover such an item of beauty with a cover that belongs on a nasty factory wheel!
  10. Ok, I will more than likely be there. Car has just had a quick wash, no chamois or window clean tho so it's still going to look gritty lol Oh well, sh!t happens eh!
  11. .... news just in... Julia Gillard, bring the RTA fee's down!!!!! We are sick of being ass raped by government agencies lol
  12. Thanks heaps for that man, it's always good to check these things. The RTA doesn't "always" get it right if you know what I mean?! Yep, another high quality government agency
  13. yeah, minus greenslip of course!! my greenslip this year is $480 can't remember who it's through but I might have to shop around this year
  14. If it's the same problem I had it may return in a few weeks. Mine seems to set off now and again under boost going uphill (atleast that was when it went off last time). I have a code but as of yet it has been of no use, I have taken pictures of the error screen(s) that came up and am waiting for them to be translated in the hope it sheds more light on the issue. It has been suggested it could be the seat belt pretensioner but as of yet I have not investigated this as I had disconnected and reconnected the cables under the drivers seat and reset the ecu. Let me know if you have further issues, we may need to discover the problem together.
  15. I should be safe in assuming we are all paying the same/similar amount but just wanted some feedback. My m35 is due for registration in 3 weeks time, the RTA side of things is $407.00 this year, $11.00 up on last year ($396.00). What are you guys paying? Just seems expensive, is it because it's an import or because the government likes to bend us over just as much as nissan australia? The only other vehicle I have registered this year was my motorbike and it was only $100 and something. Anyway, just thought I would put it out there to see
  16. I don't like them on the M35 personally, much prefer the Nismo rims that Ray's Engineering make.
  17. It's leather, why cover it up? Or do you mean for when it's parked? Why on the subject of M35 steering wheels, has anyone had one recovered in leather in the sydney region? I've got on to a mob called The Leather Doctor that I will get a quote from when I'm ready, I was just going to get the wheel redyed and protected but I discovered some damage to the centre area where it meets the airbag module. It's obviously been rubbing against it and it's broken the leather in a small area. So looks like a complete recover for me Maybe I get it in wine red leather with black stitching.
  18. Nismo S-Tune is another great option, not sure if it drops it as much as you want but it drops it enough to scrape the front aero bar and the nismo exhaust on obstacles every so often arghhhhh lol You might pick up a decent second hand kit on Import Monster, from memory too Andy said that Bilstein have a replacement set of internals for the shocks when they need doing. I have not driven any other m35's (except an Autech Axis which came with upgraded suspension from the factory) so I can't tell you the improvement over a stock set-up but I can tell you it handles well in all conditions and likes to hit corners nice and fast. not that I condone that
  19. Yep, that was me! Was just heading out to Norwest.
  20. Prospect reservoir would have been a nice venue but far too many speed bumps and raised sections of road for Teren to negotiate
  21. just depends on what you plan on hauling, you have to be careful of the alloy sub frame. If you want to haul big weights you would have to go for the WC34 Stagea. confirm the weight rating before you go ahead to avoid any potential problems.
  22. pics and a breakdown of all costs when completed please for future reference, this information always comes in handy!
  23. Taking a more than likely stab in the dark, is the first one for rear wheel drive only?
  24. Spotted a silver AR-X M35, very nice on the eye! It was driving around Rouse Hill Town Centre (near big w car park exit) around 10.30am this morning. I gave a toot but I don't think they spotted me as they turned and went the other direction while I was sitting at a red light.
  25. Nick is correct about the brochures, I know people who have them and they are all in japanese. As the cars were for the japanese market only they were never released in english. You can find most of the information on the net in english anyway if you take the time to search for it. If you want the top of the range for 2002 it would be the Autech Axis http://www.carsales.com.au/used/nissan/stagea/axis-autech/ These cars did not receive performance upgrades like the WC34 version though, however they did receive cosmetic changes, sports suspension and exhaust from memory. Have a look at the link anyway, shows you 2 which are currently on the market. The Autech Axis is based on the ARX which is the more practical raised version of the vehicle. However I prefer the RS/RX models of the M35 even though I can scrape front and back on most raised driveways etc if I'm not too careful lol They handle quiet solid after aftermarket suspension is put in (mine has the Nismo S-Tune's).
