<br /><br /><br />Not sure it helps but the turbo is a Garrett M24N, GCG Turbo's can do a high-flow rebuild for around $1955.00 (inc gst) or 10% discount for SAU members. Best to rebuild the existing turbo as it's space is quiet limited and heat seems to be it's biggest issue, so upgrading to a different turbo could be quiet difficult and expensive. The turbo in general is laggy, the Gt30 upgrade is worse but as you have pointed it out it all comes down to the ECU remap and what kind of results can be achieved. Various piggy backs (emanage ultimate/haltech interceptor) have been tried with limited success, the engine management on the M35 is quiet advanced. Hopefully SAS will make some more ground on the testing and development of the remapping in the new few weeks.

If we (by we I mean the whole group of sydney owner's) can come up with an ideal design exhaust it would be tops. If you are just talking dump pipes if it's a good one I could be interested in a few months, I'm holding off until the turbo gets the GCG treatment. Always handy to have a metal fabricator close by, I believe Scotty does a bit himself but he is in Victoria (i think).

spotted a yellow c34 about 45 minutes ago on Sunnyholt Road near Quakers Hill Parkway, not certain but I think they turned off the parkway heading towards old windsor road. maybe they were visiting tangents? maybe he sold some more of the old front end!

have you had a look at the wetab (originally named the wepad), it's another android system but it's pretty good. isn't ready to ship yet however it will come in a wifi + 3g format like the ipad. it has 2 usb sockets.

I appreciate you clearing that up, because as it was left it was kind of like a bad luck if you buy it scenario... i.e. wait in the hope that northshore may compliance vehicles sourced by other people later in the year. We are just concerned about the potential pit falls that have been encountered by people in the past, not by j-spec, I'm not suggesting that at all. So you can understand our concern on the matter. Depends what you need to do with the usb, I was reading into what people have been achieving with a jail broken ipad running usb cable via the camera adapter. If you can't do it yet it will be hacked sooner rather than later

Yeah I was being stubborn, I really wanted to get it rolling but realistically it was not the right time. I was also wanting to see how other people were going with the piggy back systems. There seemed to be a bit of interest in the remapping but the bulk of the interest seemed to be in trying out the piggybacks first. I wanted to see what the results were there and unfortunately I now know the results were not that favourable. Hopefully SAS will come up with a stealthy tune and the remap is the way to go, as of yet however they are still not sure they can dual map (switchable) which is the option I will be attempting for once they have everything worked out and I find the results out from your remap. When I spoke to Tom the other week he was of the believe that one of the Korean dudes had put the unit in a backpack and he was walking lol Hopefully that was a joke, if it was being sent by ship it could take 3-4 Weeks depending on customs. So hopefully it is close to arriving.

Yeah nice shot dude After paying $400+ for the spare ECU my finances had started to run dry! I couldn't afford the potential $1400+ to have the remap done. Had I have known they would have had to send to Korea and muck around for months I would have just sold the ECU to them and let them work it out. For now I still hold the spare ECU incase it's needed, the unit runs fine as I have tested it in my car.

Further to this I found this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Cu...ys-t304424.html Now, I don't know if the Stagea is different but it may be worth checking with your local Nissan dealership that handles imports and see if they can cut a key for you. They may be able to use the number from the key to create a perfect replica as apposed to someone cutting a dodgy copy as per the results in that thread. What ever you end up doing if you do it, post up the results so if anyone else needs to do it they know where to start.

You should be able to put a blank into the plastic key surround, not sure where you could get a blank key from, possibly Nissan or maybe Mr Minit has a substitute that meets the right criteria and can cut one to your existing key. There is no transponder in the key/plastic surround if that is what you are asking, it's just a plain key. Fortunately I got two sets of keys with mine, so I don't need to have a spare made up at this point in time.

spotted the red c34 i've been seeing around, this time near kings park. he sent me a few high beam flashes at an intersection and i returned with a few beeps of the horn. one of these days I might even talk to this guy lol

I thought that might be the case, I was reading something that said there was a protection as such on the ipod dock connector. Something to do with only "authorised" products being able to be hooked up to access content. However, the way around this is rumoured to be achievable by running a usb from the camera hook up kit, i think the iPad needs to be jail broken though to get full usb functionality. Time will tell, I'm sure someone will come up with a trendy kit that will be m35 Stagea compatible

Interesting stuff, thank you for posting your findings up I had searched for quiet a while trying to find pics of the system I was hoping it was a cat back set-up but looks like it is just the muffler, which means the rest of my system is more than likely stock
