I've heard a lot of annecdotal evidence that they're shit - but the people I've talked to who actually have one have no problems.
These come from China - SS Auto add on their own margin on top.
There's someone in Aust. selling them cheap. I'd spend a coupla hundred on one I'd reckon.

Cobra was a '49 Mercury Coupe
Steve McQueen's GT390 owns Nick Cage's GT500!
McQueen also has the Porsche 917K and the Ferrari 512S in "Le Mans".
I think in Vanilla Sky there's a replica Ferrari 250GTO.

We're on this planet for a very short time.
I'd be kidding myself if it's another 50 years... like most of you middle aged guys, we're not getting any younger.
You're not taking your money with you.
What makes you happy? What DRIVES you to coin a phrase?
This is my first truly high performance car. It's not over... I'm after a 34 GT-R sooner rather than later.
Why compromise with a lesser automobile when you can drive a Skyline?
I'm committed to driving manual RWD cars or GT-R's for the rest of my life as health permits. Other people can stand driving Camrys. That's their choice, this is mine.

Put it this way... cops are normal people like you and me.
I drove company cars like many other people.
Some guys wrote off company cars. When I'm in a hire or company car, I'll whip it like Devo. Shit bro... when I'm in MY car I whip it like Devo
Some guys and girls are cowboys - they can't let things slide, the accelerator is an on/off switch.
If some people see an apparent injustice, they'll pursue it to the very end.
ergo. you guy some cowboy cops who'll defect you for everything... follow you for half an hour for you to mess up... beat you senseless or perjure themselves.
And you'll get cops who'll do a high speed pursuit for a relatively minor offense.
Why? Because they feel less manly if they let it slide.
It's cultural. The Americans are even worse.

I'm guessing there's between 500 - 1,000 x 34 GT-Rs in NSW...
There's lot of people who can afford a $75,000 car but few with bother with a 34 unless they're truly mad keen.

Got one better...
Today.
Yellow mustardy Murcielago with what looked like trade plates.
Olympic Village.
Guy was givin' it some as he flew past me. Was obviously distracted by my car as he had to slam the brakes to stop at the red. Sounded like a WWII Spitfire as it engine braked.
Gave me the 'knowing eye' as he passed me.
Wanted to run me. I declined obviously.
Proceeded to hump it down Parra Road like a prince among paupers.

Skylinegeoff is your man.
$110 - doesn't get cheaper unless you wanna make it yourself.

So you definitely cannot import any of the Altezza wagons?
Wouldn't mind me a 3SGE powered IS200 - sedan or wagon.
GTE or 3.0 or 4.0 litre models will defeat the purpose of 'cheap'

Troy,
My feeling is that if I can get 330 odd kilometres out of 50 litres, well then that's ok.
I have the same feeling as you... I'd be after something less fuel guzzly next time.
