  1. Do you perhaps have the issue number? T.
  2. One final word from me... The VL has absolutely hopeless torsional rigidity and very poorly sorted handling. It is scary to drive as a stock N/A. Sad fact is that a VN is worse! Unless you dump money into a VL along with engine mods it's gonna be a shocker. The R33 on the other hand has excellent body integrity - you can see with that huge box section between the back seat and the boot firewall. Handling as bad as it is stock, is something that even modern Commodores are not really comparable. T.
  3. People seen this: http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/...tr&photo_flag=1 It's had a hard life but one must see it as buying a piece of history. Race cars with a document race history do command significant prices... $160,000 worth? I'm not so sure... T.
  4. LOL! The r33 GTS turbo does 6.2, 0-100, 14.2 sec. quarters. It would not take much to get a VL Turbo to smoke your average 33 in a straight line. T.
  5. I don't trust aluminium in these sorts of conditions. It's up to you. T.
  6. http://www.utahracing.com/Tech/hksgears/HT...mg_0768_std.jpg T.
  7. If you're certain it's just the head gasket why not change just that? T.
  8. Gears are gears... I'd take OS Giken. Stay away from HKS. T.
  9. We keep bumping into each other! At the moment the Infiniti G35 is a luxury brand... they are US$30,000+ cars, well optioned but they screw you on the good shit like Brembo brakes. As far as I know the BMW 330ci and M3 are just over $45,000 there so the Infiniti is chasing some exotic tail. In that light, the Skyline 350GT at around $35,000 Australian represents extraordinarily good value. I maintain that the decision of Nissan Australia to not import the Skyline is a boon for Australian consumers. If officially imported, it's a $80,000+ car. As it stands it's a <$40,000 car! Nowhere else in the world can you buy this calibre of car for this amount of money. I personally have no love of the French motor... and I'm no fan of the styling but the 350GT is miles better looking than the 350z and it has the special Skyline aura. I want to hate it but it's growing on me. Oh and I always maintain that the S14 and R33 are distant cousins to the Camry/Magna esp. in the nose department. T.
  10. I work at the same complex as Nissan Sydney Homebush and the Murano was first seen here months ago. It doesn't even get a 2nd glance given there are so many 4WDs in this complex. It's not as bad as you make out but as far as this forum is concerned, it's another 4WD. T.
  11. Country cops piss on most city cops. Chatswood I know they got a bad attitude due to the types they get their. I doubt Auburn/Bankstown Police are any better. Hornsby is quite ok - had some run-ins. Seriously I'd document this, see a lawyer and draft a letter to police inquiries. The evidence is there as it were, it just needs someone to follow it up. The lack on interested in the drug is disturbing. And how they left it there in the car deserves someone being suspended. Do you leave drugs at the scene of an incident??? T.
  12. You don't understand. Shock Reco are in Slacks Creek QLD. You send the shocks up, you pay, they fix. No-one can do JDM coils in Syd. Someone prove me wrong. T.
  13. At the very least call it in to the local police station... describe the car, you don't need to know the plates or leave your name. They'll sort it out. I've seen some cars in this area like that and they police are happy to check it out. T.
  14. I can recommend these guys: Road & Race Performance Pty Ltd 17 Vore St Silverwater NSW 2128 ph: (02) 9748 0104 Tyres--Retail Peter is who you need to talk to... straight shooter... he also does the unbelievable thing and tried to talk me out of spending money! Mark of a true professional. T.
  15. Can I ask why you want to run an FC on a 'fairly stock car'? T.
  16. It's pure economics. People charge what the market will bear. The way I look at it, you're asking for someone to much around with the unit that can blow your engine. That's a big responsibility and it takes time to know cars, RB motors and ECU. If you want a no b/s charge by the hour... go to UAS - fixed rate per hour dyno tuning. You can also try some of the road tuners like BEL, Hitman. T.
  17. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...&cat=500&page=1 That's it. T.
  18. A good carbon bonnet bolts straight in, no mess. Mine is OK... and it took 15 mins to go on. T.
  19. I get the feeling at the very least, go for springs, cheap shocks like Billys or KYB and a REAR camber kit. Front is not such a big deal... Rear is though as you're burning them with power and camber. T.
  20. Are clublocks even a deterent on a high performance car??? T.
  21. Can you guy use your 1337 skillz and put the Supra front on a 34? T.
  22. LOL... The recirc kit only fits the JXZ100 - you can confirm with BD4S if you so wish. T.
  23. I find it incongruous that we laugh and share kill stories but we don't take to P platers or speeding too well... Anyway onto the important topic of Skylines chopping other cars... There are some very fast FTOs around... even with turbos. T.
  24. I think I would need to defer to our judge south of the border aka. Troy/Roy. I seem to think that the prevailing opinion is that 'you drive on our roads, you comply to our standards'. If this were not the case, I'd have my car registered in QLD and be immune from local police inspection. T.
  25. Ah but you're subject to their EPA/defect laws. Curious. T.
