  1. Hmmm... This don't sound so bad if it's just by the bridge. If I get my lights fixed I'll go... T.
  2. That is strange as Mines use the standard box and their cars always hammer. Perhaps it is the relative lack of noise that makes the car seem 'slow'. T.
  3. Ben, Keep me updated about the Redline. My box feels like it has some loose bolts in there... T.
  4. Nah the tune is $200? Mine cost $200 to tune a POwerFC. Same day as Ed. And I got a bit more than 10kW On a GTR - it was a proven 20kW at the wheels. Mine was even more substantial... T.
  5. Sell it to a r34 owner... and then blag their name all over the place. T.
  6. Very yakuza... T.
  7. Hit the driveways sideways. I crack the shite out of my new 400r bar as it is. **** it really. I mean I saw Ed's car (white r34) and really every low slung sporty car has it. There are some drives you just cannot go up. T.
  8. I vaguely remember the specs of that 34 that DCD posted. It has twin HKS GT3037s snails and more goddamn power than a brace of standard GT-R's combined... it looks pretty stock outside aside from the modest kit but it's a monster. T.
  9. Kyosho in metal is very very hard to find though. There are a number of what is called "J-Collection" models and they are substantially cheaper than Ebbro and they seem to have good accuracy as well. But their selection seems very non-Nissan - that is, no Skylines some Toyota but no Supras as far as I've seen. I would love a Supra plus and RX7 plus all the other 'S' cars like the Silvia. They do have a 350z though... T.
  10. Quieter. Response is smoother with the cold air. Also the Apex'i is a much better filter than the HKS which lets dirt in big time. It's better for turbo longevity to get rid of that HKS. PM me Ben, I'll can tell you were to get it fitted cheap and good. They even sold me the Apex'i filter for a damn good price. And it's non-oil too. T.
  11. I have an ARC stage 2 (I don't know what that means). But you can clearly see the end tanks and piping in the front bar hole. T.
  12. Mine pops and farts badly on down change esp. if it's a high rpm downchange. I use 0.8 - 0.9, backing down though as it's too uncontrollable at this boost. I pulled the silencer and it even flames T.
  13. Argghh you dog DCD... They look like the classic TE37 Volks with the blue nuts. Correct? They're even prettier than the OEM Nissan rims. T.
  14. Had the "Oh ShIttt" feeling plenty of times but usually it was 'accelerator induced' and there were no cars around to bump into. I've overcooked it bad on cold tyres and the car snaps and you had to correct like 5 seconds ago before you meet the guardrail. I remember the first time I saw an r32 GT-R and thought there's no way 'only' 300hp could overcome 16x7 tyres with 4wd. How wrong I was. I run 17x8 and it'll spin in 3rd no probs. I would imagine there are many cars here that can spin up 18x9 rubber no problem. Fortunately there hasn't been a point yet where I change from being to 'driver' to being the 'sole passenger' in my 33. T.
  15. No offense taken mate. I'm scared to clean it. I broke my HKS bov (some plastic doohicky) which just got fixed. I think I'll go over the lot with a rag and some degreaser this weekend. T.
  16. See the only reason I ask is that some guy on the 'Maintenance' forum is trying to get rid of his. T.
  17. Yeah but there is no hole or wiper stub. All the relevant fuses are gone in the engine. Strange. I didn't notice it until some other Skyline owners brought it up at a workshop. T.
  18. I was defected in Wollongong for a open filter. So I got a fiberglass box + a Apex'i cone filter. Original: http://www.nitroware.net/~tony/hks_pod.jpg Finished: http://www.nitroware.net/~tony/uas_box.jpg Some of the places I went to called the RTA to confirm that they could sign off on a fixed 'defect'. Apparently RTA told them I would need to go back to the original airbox or get my new pod + box engineered. What a load of bullshit. So I found someone who would do a dodgy and sign off on the new box. I thought this would be relatively easy to fix but nothing is easy with the RTA and the cops. T.
  19. What do you want for a stock bov? T.
  20. I have a '95 m-spec. It has no rear wiper. I've never seen another skyline with no rear wiper. Anyone else? Must have not ticked that option box. T.
  21. I could give a shit. A dirty stain is a badge of honour. T.
  22. The PowerFC + Apex'i boost header + hand controller is more expensive than the PowerFC + AVC-R anyway. No saving. I'm to dumb to use a hand controller anyway. You can use an FC without any EBC so of course it is fine. T.
  23. The 33 boot is really small for it's apparently size. The 33 is famous for its big butt. I mean you look outside and you go '****, must have a big boot'. And then you open it up and it's like the Tardis in reverse. T.
  24. No way. I use my 'line to get to work. I do limited shopping with it. I drive it to friends places and just general use. I gets run on weekends as usual. My rule of thumb is that if it's raining, take the wagon. If you need the capacity for hauling shopping, take the wagon. If there's a possibility the car might be stolen or it's a bad area, take the wagon. The Skyline and Mercedes get left at home if there's a hint of trouble. T.
  25. This is the only early 31 I've seen in 1:43 - http://www.ebbro.com/catalogue2002/Nissan/...0/Red/index.htm Unfortunately you cannot buy these anywhere. I had a real hard time getting the 32 as it is. T.
