  1. Been running Ohlins DFV since 2010 and they haven't skipped a beat. The ride is pretty smooth, currently set on soft for daily driving.
  2. fwiw. After 150k km's and two track days early on, my Nizmo pads are close to needing replacement. I cant fault the longevity or performance and the dusting is quite reasonably low. Rotors have faired well too. If I can find them (poss Nengun) I'll definitely use them again no hesitation.
  3. Yes, iirc they only had the SMF with lightened flywheel option available from their supplier. I must add that the exhaust note has changed which may be coincidence, It's deeper and louder which is a good thing
  4. I had mine replaced dec 2014 by C-red. They installed the SMF option and the chatter is quite noticeable. With the reduction in rotating mass I have noticed little improvement on acceleration. In-fact the car feels quite the opposite, almost like there is drag in the driveline. If you ride the clutch in a certain position the car shudders. I'm sure my off-the-line acceleration was better with the stock clutch (prior to wear).
  5. Ditto, my 2003 came into the country in 2008 with 19,000klm on the clock. Had log book and Jap auction papers to match. Also the interior/exterior condition of the car matched. Having said this, no one takes into consideration the time the car is spent actually running. The Japanese drive short distances but spend a long time doing so.............think about it. Imports should really have timers not speedometers
  6. You should have someone over there that can recal the speedo. Over here we have AISAT, they may be in SA as well.
  7. Oh I forgot about you, my apologies CR
  8. Onlt thing I could find: http://www.mp3car.com/mp3car-infill-g4-double-din-car-computer/99741-mp3car-infill-g4-install-in-a-2003-infiniti-g35.html or Riverside Infinity. Also try the G35 Driver forums, you might get lucky.
  9. Switched to Nitto Invo (285/30/20) on the rear after going thru a set of Yokohama Advan Sport V103. The Nitto cost me $350ea from Taleb (sponsor) and are quite comparable for grip and are a little quiter. The yokohama are a slightly better handling tyre all round but are twice the price so my choice is Nitto.
  10. Yeah Boost.............Ask for the Banana Smoothie. That'll do the trick
  11. I did a S**t load of research on the subject a couple of years ago. Found good threads on G35driver Out of it the opinion is Aragosta, Ohlins, Bilstein, KW, Tein in that order for quality of the above mentioned manufacturers As for ideal setup & spring rates for Australian roads the Bilstein P9 & 10 were best suited. I went for the Ohlins as I don't want to be replacing parts or rebuilding them in 12mths and I got a good deal BC's don't get much of a mention FWIW quoted from G35Driver: KBee Coilover: KBee Style: OEM Spring Rate: 12K/12K (Swift Springs) Drop potential: Frame Banger Adjustability: Height is as easy as any coilover. Dampening for the front is easy, The rear needs to be off the car. Stiffness: Ridiculous on full still. Pretty comfortable on full soft. Harshness: You can feel the road beneath you, but you don't hate it. Price point: These are extremely rare JDM coilovers. They are only available in Japan. @$1200 US
  12. I think by cheating they were implying the car is force fed by being turbo charged like earlier Skylines, we all know it's not.
  13. maybe try one of the forum sponsors on G35Driver.
  14. For example, If your amp is rated for 600w at 2Ohm then your 4Ohm sub will see only 300w. If you connect a 2Ohm sub you'll get the full 600 watts. If you connect two 2 ohm subs in parrallel (1 Ohm) you'll get 1200 watts provided the amp will load down that low. If you load down the amp below it's lowest rating it will just go into protection and shut down. Do this continueously and it'll go POP.
