  1. Pics aren't working for me so I did some simple snooping http://www.versiononeautoimport.com.au/per...KYLINE-350GT/64 Thought I recognised the name as I've seen them advertise on E-bay quite a bit http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2003-Nissan-SKYLINE...=item51911dd001
  2. Mine Don't. I should add that when folding the housing always returns to stock but my mirrors do not, not 100% of the time. And the tilt rarely returns the mirror to the preset angle as well. So needless to say I use neither unless it really calls for it.
  3. I should clarify. It was peak hour, cars everywhere, yet I was driving the only car on the road, in the photo Even the truck that was beside me at the time of the flash was not in the shot.............go figure!!!!!!! So I reluctantly paid the fine and walked away. Who in court was going to believe a 19yr old.
  4. When I were a lad ( ) I got pinged on Canning Hwy coming down the hill past Melville motors. I was riding my brakes and within the limits. At the time of the flash a truck passed me on the outside so I naturally assumed it was him. When I recieved the fine I went into east perth to question it and view the photo. Interestingly there was no truck in the photo, Infact there wasn't a car on the road anywhere!!!!! at peak hour???? I suspect the truck driver got a fine too.
  5. No not always. The "tilt" is good only for backing into a kerb parking space. Normal reversing is a PITA with it on. The fold in option is ok for tight spaces but again you don't want it on 27/7. Both options dont return the mirror to the pre-set angle which again is a PITA.

  8. Not a fan of the metra kits
  9. http://www.autopro.com.au/products/product-range.html Got mine from these guys or you could PM user "Birds". He's post #1171 page 59 in this thread.
  10. Well Riverside have them for $189.00. I'm waiting on a quote from them but I'd assume between $280-$350AUD landed. Is the Ex Japan option going to get better than that Chris?
  11. My passenger side window has been playing up for a while, so as I was driving past the dealership thought I'd drop in and get a price. Giant Nissan quoted me $689.68 for the Motor Assy (PN: 80731-CD00A) & $253 for the regulator, siting that it could be either. I can see why it would be more appealling to purchase ex USA !!!!!!!
  12. http://www.gulfwestern.com.au/Sougi%20S%206000.html Thanks to Birds I'm converted. After 3000k's the oil still looks good and could well be the best $80 for 5 litres I ever spent.
  13. Pumps are generally submersible. Sediments and water are introduced thru' the filling point of the tank. Like I said, these pumps get dead very quickly when the attendant ignores the alarm and lets the tank get below the minimum level. The pumps at $6-7k each are not something the supplier wants to be replacing too often, particularly when on top of that they have the cost to rebuild a clients motor as well (this has happened to BP).
  14. Sorry rip, but I can't see how Shell can get you an extra 100+K's over BP out of one tank.
  15. The extra rotating mass of heavy wheels will really effect your acceleration & handling. Maybe look at light weight options of 20's like Work & Rays.
  16. Should be around 1500kg, about 100kg lighter than my VX 5.7l Calais would you believe.

  18. You are primarily correct max, all major fuels do come from the BP refinery & Kewdale terminals but they don't clean out the tanks at the stations. Rarely they may pump out the water which is heavier than fuel and sits at the bottom of the tanks with the sediments. Each station has alarms for each tank that are set to go off when the tanks get down to 5000L (can't remember exact amount, may be more). The problems with contamination arise when the attendants ignore the alarms and let the tank drain to the sediment level. The somewhat expensive pumps not only fill your tank with shite but also fail within a very short time frame. Also avoid filling up at a station that is doing the same, sediments get stirred up by the tankers. BP/Shell premiums are actually about as good as it gets. The independants just water it down so to speak. Courtesy of a conversation about fuels I had with a state manager for BP my brother in law, so it's not BS.
  19. Not a fan but each to their own. Rule of thumb would be colour code to the car but if your Avatar is anything to go by then blue neon for you.
  20. Bilstein PSS9 or PSS10 coilovers for 350z will apparently give you a better than stock ride comfort if you don't take the car to the track. http://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-suspens...-w-updates.html I've got the Ohlins DFV coilovers w/- 20" and I or the wife don't feel there is a massive differance to stock on the softer damping settings. There's a noticeable increase in feedback from the road, but no harshness. I wouldn't want to go any harder on the street tho.
  21. Paul can you please send me the pics sent you a PM All ok no need, pics are showing up now.
