Hey guys, Im currently in the process of building a 26/30 for my R33 GTST, Ive got a Spool Imports RB30 Block, and BU5TERS old RB26 head, HKS 280 PRO cams, ported, Tomei springs etc etc. I was just wondering what turbo setup to go with. I was thinking either T04Z or HKS T51R.. Dont want a massive lag monster, but some is acceptable. What kind of RPM will the T51R come onto full boost? Also the T04z? Havent really seen many 26/30's with HKS T51r on them, or know much info about when boost hits etc. Cheers, Matt

Yeah, they wernt like full semi slicks like the Mickey T's ET streets or anything, I had Toyo R1R's on stock 32R rims. Much much bettter then the cheap tyres i had on my 18's so thought id give them a go. Best 60' i could get with my 18's on was a low 2.1. If i had Mickey T's i should of been very close to an 11.

I just bought a 98 EL falcon wagon, 5 speed manual, HD clutch, dedicated gas! Its got all the luxurious (ish) bits on it, a/c, p/w cruise control etc etc, plenty of room, and its only like 35 bucks to fill the tank!! Was very close to your 1500 price range too! Tuff wagon!

Yeah it was a 1.89 60' mate, Still span off the line abit, It was hard launching it as my turbo comes on quite late (4300) on a Stock internal 25. 0.82 exhaust housing with highflow turbo. Would be achievable though for sure! Just need some slicks

My 33 GTST (Full street trim) had semi slick tyres on 16s (lost about 5km/h trap speed with 16's compared to my 18 street tyres) 268RWKW and did a 12.3 with 1.8 60'. Its probablly achievable will full slicks as i was still spinning off the line though.

Ok, thanks for that mate, I know it would make sense to put a 25/30 into my GTST as ive already got the 25 PFC and loom, but i really wanted something different in the engine bay, and imo 26 setups look too good to resist! So lets just say if i did still decide to go a 26/30 into my 33 GTST, could i use the 33 GTR loom, GTR Power FC for management? OR is it just too much for the sake of a 26 head? Cheers guys.

Hey guys, awesome thread, plenty of good info in there!! I have a S1.5 R33 GTST and am also thinking about doing the RB30DET conversion, but with a RB26 head. Was just wondering about a couple of things before i start my build. Are there any advantages in using the RB26 head compared to the 25 head? (Wont need VCT as getting bigger cams with adj cam pulleys) How hard is it to fit the RB26 head into a 33 GTST with the stock wiring loom for injectors, sensors etc. Can i still use my RB25 Power FC to run the engine? Hoping for 450rwhp or more, RB30E S2 block prepped, Forged conrods / pistons etc. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

Hey Stao. Am very interested in one of these Highflow packages. I am after a reliable 260rwkw in my R33 GTST. From what i have researched from your products, i will need a highflowed stock RB25 turbo with VG30 .63 rear housing? Can you do this combination? And will it fit up to my current dump pipe? Also how long will it approx take to machine and send back to WA? Cheers, Matt.
