Gts4 Tyre Size
bogan in rice replied to bogan in rice's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
so it should be alright having different tyres if i leave it on 2wd till i get new ones -
Hey, was wondering if you can have different profile tyres front to rear on a gts4? Thinking if the difference was too much the 4wd system would pick up the rear wheels are going faster and cause it to kick in 4wd

New Chip In Ecu Problems
bogan in rice replied to bogan in rice's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
nah its off ebay i think they called it a drift chip Buying gear for ecu of ebay probably not a good idea -
hey guys hoping someone might have had experience in this prob. I got a mailorder chip for my ecu which is sposed to have different maps, speed limiter cut, rev limiter change and other stuff. So i just put it in and my cars running like a bag of shit! The EGT light is flashing on the dash and it feels like driving with an intercooler pipe off. Idles fine but breaks down heavily underload. What have i done??!!

just thought it'd be more beneficial to have it as close to the turbo as possible. Also more room to fit it in.
-
hey ppls just got given a brand new turbo XS BOV just wanted to know do you put it in place of your standard bypass valve or on the turbo to intercooler pipe (already has outlet to fit BOV on pipe) oh yeh on a R32 GTS-4

just wanted to know if a R33 skyline RB25DET can be fitted to a R32 GTS4 as my mate has one he wants to get rid of. My RB20 has had plenty of issues anywayz be glad to see it go. I know the sump is different due to the front diff, so this is why you go for a stagea engine but cant i just swap the sump/diff set up over? I thought they were the same block

R33 Overheated, Now Will Not Start :(
bogan in rice replied to boostdef's topic in General Maintenance
if its been cooked bad chances are youve done your head gasket. If its not even turning over its probably hydraulic locking, but youll find that when u do a compression test -
i thought the same thing but with my vrs kit it came with the torque specs and it says "torque to yield cylinder head bolts must be replaced" i dont know what they mean?

hey all im a newbie to this site just tryin to sus a couple things out. I just bought a 32 GTS4 4 door and even after full inspection and test drive it overheated on the way home! (didnt show on the gauge) and then blew out the head gasket on no.6. So ive ripped the head off but in the process found the cams are a tooth out! Now i just want to know if this was an attempt at a performance mod or just a mistake. Any ideas?
