  1. apparently it lasted 1.5 laps.
  2. We had the unofficial launch for Launceston residents last night at Levee Food Co.
  3. well it appears on a 25 you don't need to loop the rear outlet, into the front inlet, so I just blocked the rear outlet. I have now looped the rear outlet into the front inlet. The car with the 25 I copied the idea from is a very successful circuit car, and has done heaps of race km with the rear outlet blocked
  4. Well it's been a busy past couple of weeks. I decided to bypass the heater core to eliminate the possibility of slip heater hoses, I followed some advice on setting up how the coolent lines run from a local bloke who races a RB25. We have since found out that the coolent flows differently between a 25 and a 20, cause I over heated the engine and poped a head gasket. Luckily the head was still within the factory tolerances, so I only needed to replace the head gasket. We got a good test day in on Saterday with 70 or so laps of Baskerville, the car is consistently lapping about 0.7 secs quicker a lap then last year.
  5. so who's ready for Targa? We did 3100km of recce over the long weekend, the new section of Riana is going to be super fast.
  6. The RB25DE's usually love to rev, as they are based off the mighty 20
  7. Will there be a Lada cup for the support races?
  8. probably cause he'd be serving big macs if he had a different last name
  9. for what it is i think the price is about right.
  10. Looks like you need to put airbags on the back to tow proerly by the look of that pic (and moar powah). My mate used to have pedders airbags in his vt commo, and it stopped the car doing wheel stands when it was towing anything substantial.
  11. what damage did they do?
  12. 450 lb/in in the front, and 300lb/in in the rear.
  13. The car got moved on the weekend to start the Targa prep. I took it for a test run today to get reliability testing km into it. revalving of the rear shocks feels good, it should give much more confidence at speed on rough roads. Hopefully we should get some testing time at Symmons this weekend
  14. You have to run what was in the original spec sheet or homoigation papers. You could convert a pov pack 2 door R32 into a gts-t if you wanted. So RB20DET is the only option for R32 Gts-t
  15. Are the DVS cars still a relivent stepping stone to the main game with the new cars? I notice Luff and Purcat are in Porsche Cup this year, and I remember Skaife saying this years cars drove more like Porsche Cup cars
  16. The RB25 that came in the R32 was a RB25DE. RB25's are gay anyway
  17. The top level bike guys have natural ability, it doesn't take them that long to adapt to 4 wheels. Stoner is in a lot better position than Gardner was 20 years ago, as he's got the development series to hone his skills. Gardner got thrown straight into the main game.
  18. are you going to remove the rear wiper? I just painted my alloy sheets with rattle can matt black. much cheaper than powder coating
  19. You missed out the built by Jim Richards part
  20. You can run any body kit from a model run (R32 in this case) under the option rules. So you can run GT-R front bar, bonnet, and rear wing. Guards have to be Gtst as the GT-R guards are wider. You can run upto 18x8 (pretty sure the stock rims are 16x6), but I run 17x8 rims cause i'm a jew. BUT you can also run factory option wheel sizes... which bump it up to 18x9, as you could option Nismo 18x9 wheels on Skylines back in the day.
  21. Yep. L series and SR have crank breathers from the factory
  22. Yes lots less oil. Before I put that line on the car had 2 x 3l catch cans. It still has them, but the 2nd one only catches the E85 vaper. I have recently added this new -10 line as a breather, which should fix all the breathing problems once and for all.
  23. Here is the breather from the dip stick
  24. The RB26 is on my garage floor ATM, so i'll take some pics of that tonight. The catch can return with 1 way valve is in my car, which isn't at my house. I'll be working on my car during the week, so i'll get some pics of the catch can return then. Spitting oil out on the dyno is pretty rare. The tuner guessed that the Nismo separtor was being used as a vent, and carrying the oil from the turbo drain up to the head.
  25. It's not my car, and I sugested a dry sump to the bloke a while back and he wasn't keen
