  1. We used to do it all the time in Tassie, until about 18 months ago when CAMS clamped down on private days. Didn't you know that fire burns colder when your practicing.
  2. Looks like Blaises car has found a new home and could potentially be making the trip down to tassie next year
  3. I'll have a look for that. I just replaced the subframe in my stag for that reason, that was alloy though. Where is yours crack?
  4. Been a while since an update. The engine is stripped down and I got a replacement block which is at the machine shop. The old block has had it's day. I had been noticing a pool a silicone under the car whenever is was parked for a length of time. Turns out one of of the rear subframe bushes was leaking it out. So I've dropped the subframe out to put new bushes in it.
  5. It's the bass straight raping that makes it hard. You should end up with a group of cars to play with. I wouldn't be surprised if the top cars are in the 30's this year
  6. I'd like to, but can't really afford to do PI and Targa. Never say never though, it was a great event
  7. yeah, just waiting for the last day of launch pricing
  8. Got your entry in yet Ben?
  9. your rea Your reading the 2015 regs, not the 2016+ That whole section is now gone. As Ben said read M9 in the new rules
  10. Pretty sure you can still do the twin to single conversion.
  11. I'm crewing for Haysman in the TR7 this year. Looks to be a decent entry list in early modern
  12. A video that was put together for Targa Hellyer
  13. No in car from the V8 Round. Foxtel put an end to that, but someone has uploaded the broadcast to youtube
  14. I've already done that. Just going to pull it down and see where it failed. If the block is to far gone I'll just replace it
  15. I had a damaged wastegate line, which gave the engine some being boost spikes (went off the scale of the map sensor) on Friday, and the overheating problems started and got worse from there. It's a tomie super grommet, but I won't be using that again as they warp the deck of the block
  16. yes grid girl with a head gasket in hand
  17. The fronts went 1 way, rears went the other. The launches of the start line is what for the rears I recon. Big hp rwd classics got heaps more movement on the rim that we got
  18. Semi's move a fair bit on the rim. A few years ago they used to mark the rim + tyre, the tyres on our gtr moved about 50mm on the rim
  19. I've had a look at the Elite software and the much touted factory CAN integration isn't as good as I first thought. There is a just a drop down to choose the CAN system to run, but there is no Nissan stuff to choose from. I was hoping there would be the option to put CAN info into the ecu. The dash and box are controlled by CAN aren't they?
  20. I must of been reading the classic section. Steve will be fine, as he's early modern no modern.....and they want his entry
  21. Targa rules changed last night. You can now run +2" to no larger that 17x8 unless bigger std. You can run 18x9 with the option rule though
  22. Is anyone doing fantasy f1 this year? Http://fantasy.planetf1.com
