  1. what are the odds that the Russian GP will run later in the year?
  2. I'm looking forward to the event. I'm giving my mrs her first rally experience, but still looking for Targa.
  3. I don't know how they came to the conclusion that classic doesn't need HANS. Some of those classics run in the top 5-10 overall. I'm not running Wrest Point, but it looks like Dad is going to make a last minute entry in his Spec-C. So I'll probably be down there crewing.
  4. Could we have a superlap night each week online? I'm not sure how long you can set quailfying for (1-2hours?)
  5. I think we used to run about 355mm from wheel to guard in the R33, 550lb f and 375lb rear springs. In other news, i'm on the hunt for a nav for Targa Tas this year
  6. not as ridiculous as the fans being able to vote extra power to a certain car.
  7. Haltech have just announced a new ecu (elite) with electric throttle control (with cruise control), and 4 indipendant cam control. How does the m35 auto ecu work? Does it use CAN or just analogue signals?
  8. Haltech have just announced a new ECU that has fly by wire support, but not sure if it does traction control. The motec has more features, but are they features that you are going to use? They will both control the engine the same
  9. speedo is done via GPS
  10. I think the big inlet ports would make i laggier down low, and I wouldn't be able to run VCT in targa. I did have a good look at it, but I don't think it would be worth it. I had the car out again last weekend, and I took over 1 second of my PB at Symmons Plains Footage of me playing with a GT3 RS, and setting my new PB:
  11. HANS isn't compulsory in any of the comps
  12. do you run a surge tank?
  13. I ran the Legerwood Lane hillclimb a couple of weeks ago. The car hadn't moved in 6 months, so I have it a birthday and changed it's oil and gave it a new battery.
  14. Sorry I remembered wrong. The RB26 has a spot for a pressure sensor in the same place as an RB30, it's just got a bolt in it to block it. Take the bolt out and put the sensor in
  15. I forgot about that, all the cars i've done it to have oil temp fittings in the sump, and decent oil pressure gauges. The RB26 has a oil pressure sensor the same place as the RB30, but it has an additional oil pressure switch (for the light) on the sammich plate. Cause the sump is so thick in a 26, you can just drill and tap the sump to fit the oil temp sensor (sump has to come off), I did it to a 26 without any problems.
  16. methonal is invisable. e85 is still visable
  17. The v8's have been refueling for years with e85, which is pretty low tech compared to F1. I don't see why it would be a safety issue
  18. what are peoples thoughts on 888's flashing headlights?
  19. not sure if repco stock them, I had a spare 20 laying around that i got mine from. should be able to find someone partsing out a 20/30 cheap to get the part. I replaced the paper gasket with 3 bond too.
  20. you need a RB20/RB30 oil filter fitting, and 2 bungs to block the heater hoses under the plenum. it's just 4 12mm bolts to swap them over, but it will probably be a pita to do in the car.
  21. I've been pretty lazy since Targa. I had the car out to a club day at Symmons Plains a couple of weeks after Targa, and dropped my pb down to 59.8. Since then the car has been sitting. But it will be back out for a hillclimb at the end of October. Some pics from Targa this year: Full Album
  22. Did you use black vht crincle, then paint over it?
  23. inbox is cleared out
  24. I think the rear drain only pushes out oil when the turbo is still there. I had that problem with the nismo oil air separator. The blow by pushed the oil coming out of the turbo back out the oil air separator. Shoildnt be a problem with only 1 turbo
