  1. I think the rear drain only pushes out oil when the turbo is still there. I had that problem with the nismo oil air separator. The blow by pushed the oil coming out of the turbo back out the oil air separator. Shoildnt be a problem with only 1 turbo
  2. i'll be interested to see your results
  3. The IQ3 will hook up to most ECU's with a CAN bus (Haltech, Motec, Link...). Heaps of ECU companies brand the IQ3, but they are all the same racepac unit
  4. I thought Canada had a abrasive service too?
  5. Roman was only close enough cause he forgot to hit the brakes.
  6. That car is still not together. But I ran the same setup in my car for Targa, and didn't have any breathing issues (oil was filled to the top of the hump), and I was reving it pretty hard. Before the event I drilled one of the oil restrictors out to get more oil into the head.
  7. Z32 and R32 GT-R have the same bearings
  8. I was pretty happy/surprised with the coverage we got
  9. GT-R and Gtst have different lower kingpin bearings, the GT-R ones are about 4mm bigger in the ID
  10. 3 years of development to get it there. The new Dunlop D03 R2's that I got to run helped too. here is our bush mechanics at Cethana:
  11. I'll be running as well
  12. some good highlights from Targa And some RB26 sidepipe action
  13. The bearings in the upright (that hold the kingpin) are a serviceable item. I takes some pasence to get them out without damaging the upright, but it can be done pretty easy. I recently changed mine
  14. Damo grabbed for the roll cage just near where the horses are running around. It's the first time in 3 years I've seen him flinch, but it didn't stop him from being on the $$. Pressure was on that stage, and I think we ended up 3rd fastest outright on it.
  15. last one for the day, Woodsdale
  16. no kers, just store the naws in the roll cage
  17. Here is the Poooloooona stage
  18. I don't think cams test many RB20's. The bloke measured it, then turned round and asked "ahhh do you know what the stock stroke is meant to be?" (69.7). Stroke test is just a simple steel tube with a high and low marker. I think the more advanced volume test is done if there is a protest, but i've heard it's not very accurate. You don't need a RB24 Roy. Were you down in Bothwell with a big beard Dan?
  19. It's meant to be std protocol, but I don't think it's been done for a few years.
  20. Thanks for all the support. It was about this point where I thought all chances had slipped away. Damo did an unbelieveable job to get in and out of the car twice on the stage within 1:35, and then pick up the notes only 2 km down the road. We opened up the oil restricers to the head, so it would stop being starved of oil. This made a huge difference, as I had no worries about reving it, and keeping it in the power band all day. At the end of the event CAMS stroke tested my car and Thatchers car. I'm glad they did, as it's proof the engine is legit. Looks like we finished 5th overall.
  21. We had the throttle cable come off on cethana. We were stationary for 1:35 while Damo rigged up a fix. I was pretty crabby after that
  22. The lift pump started to fail at the morina start line, and got progressively worse. It was a fine line between loosing time, and melting the engine. We have replaced both pumps and are ready to go again
  23. Mt Roland stage from today I didn't have time to sync the data and video.
  24. We are pretty happy with how it's all going ATM. I had no power steering for any of the proper stages this morning (spat the belt off), only got a replacement belt on at lunch for the last 2 stages.
