  1. Did you have to change the trans tunnel much? or just cut the top to clear shifter? Have been looking at similar boxes but have been told they wont work with RHD because of the shifter location. You seem to have solved that problem haha
  2. mate a decent 2.5" will support well over 400hp so really unless your goin mad on the car it will be enough BUT the difference in sound between 2.5 and 3 will be very little. It's all in the mufflers, someone above suggested a varex. this is a good idea. I have a 3" on my car and its very quiet (untill your on gate) with just a couple of well chosen mufflers. You'll probably be surprised how quiet a well made hi po exhaust can be. find an experienced and skilled exhaust guy, then just tell em what you want and go for gold
  3. wouldn't a GTR cradle give you wider track?
  4. that's your the reservoir for your Attessa bro I beleive you fill it with ATF Dexron III fluid or similar? Nissan also sells a specific Attessa fluid too i think.
  5. Can you nistune an RB25? last time I checked with them they didn't make a board for 25's? could be wrong? Also your unopened block should be good for 400hp+ with a decent tune so I wouldn't worry too much (emphasis on good tune lol)
  6. ?????? Well im no mechanic either but that is a little weird. Although being able to run 4psi is also weird? perhaps ur guage reads a little low? I can't see how that would prove the wastegate is stuffed. It really does sound like coilpacks (or possibly fuel pump?) do you know anyone who would lend you a set to try? Personally I would find a dedicated performance workshop and get them to have a look. Any decent workshop should know RB25s (also pretty sure error code 55 indicates no errors found lol so your mechanic might not be too savvy with the imports)
  7. Hi guys the gbox in our S1 RS-4 Stag is cactus, (crunches into nearly all gears, whines, etc) so I want to replace it. Now while it will no doubt sound strange to many of you I want to use an RB20DET box. My question is what do I do with the sump? Will the sump from a RWD RB25 (R33) bolt up? Also will I need to make any modifications to front hubs? cheers Luke
  8. Sorry guys brakes have sold My apologies for not updating post/replying to PM's faster
  9. So the guy who "bought" these never showed to pick em up........great So now I need them gone asap! they're a complete bolt on kit for an RX7 but will fit nissan with either slight mods to the top hat (planed out few mm) or new top hats if u prefer. or alternatively take advantage of my situation and buy them to sell on! they sell for $2300+ retail! im losing money to get cash fast. my car needs to be finished for collie and times flying by. $1000!!! Cheers Luke
  10. I'm also curious to know if you stalled it up on the line? I took a stock toyota soarer to the strip and ran a 14.3 and I would've though a lighter car with the same power level would be looking around 14.0???? you'll absolutely smash that time once you start tuning it up though
  11. Hi guys I have for sale an auto box from a series 1 RS4. it's in very good condition and shifted smoothly and strongly before we removed it. It was serviced regularly and I ran a trans cooler so it never got too hot. I never dragged it or tracked it and the owners before me used the car to drive the kids around so I think it's safe to assume it's had a pretty cruisy life I have no idea what these are worth so I'll say $300ono Please email at [email protected] as I'm often away with work and my work computers seem to hate this forum
  12. Would you mind getting me a quote? if it's reasonable (as in less than $100 track and trace) I'll take it! I'v been trying to find one of these for ages as I refuse to deal with just jap any more so this is perfect.
  13. this is exactly what I'v been looking for! will you consider sending to WA? (6057)
  14. I would say 30-40kg??? feels hell heavy if your dumb enough to drop it onto your chest while removing it............
  15. Do the manual conversion!!!! but if you don't I'm about to do manual convo on stagea rs4. are the auto boxes the same? if so ill sell to ya
  16. had the best day! hopefully showed a few people that R33's can drift (even with a newbie at the wheel lol) was stoked to win my 1st ever battle, but expression sessions where highlight of the day. Congrats to Tarq on 2nd place outright, this is a huge achievement for anyone but to do it in a 300hp R32 is just epic! boy got skillz huge thanks to Trav, Dean and Nick for supplying and fitting my new axle, you saved my ass. and thanks Tarq and the VR family, without VR Auto my car wouldnt have been drifting.
  17. you should have! looked like he was getting some pretty severe understeer issues hope the wheels came out alright bro. they looked awesome!
  18. Bit of an oxymoron there haha Seriously though for that price your in the market for an elite spec R33. for comparison I sold my absolutely immaculate r33 with 430rwhp, body kit, teins, kaaz, etc etc for very close to the amount you have to spend. Shop carefully and you should find something awesome. Good luck
  19. Iridiums last a lot longer but don't provide better spark. If you don't mind changing plugs every 10'000ks or so save money and buy the BCPR6ES I'v run both my R33's on these plugs without issue (both cars made well over 400rwhp)
  20. I made 320rwkw in my r33 streeter using the following: Built motor (rb26 crank and rods forged piston) Garret GT3082r turbo on 6boost manifold with turbosmart gate Hks step 1 cams 555cc injectors blitz fmic trust 3" exhaust Hks ecu If I were to build an engine from scratch for drifting I would aim for lower power and more response. 250rwkw with nice response is much more fun than 320kw with lag. I'v seen plenty of rb25s make 300kw on stock bottom ends so if you weren't worried about long term reliability you could probably make 300kw with just basic bolt ons. maybe gt35r turbo 700cc injectors nistune the usual intake and exhaust?
  21. Yeah mate at that kind of rpm most cars will build some boost in neutral. It's completely normal. not a problem.
  22. Ouch man that looks painful! I would be checking your hub for cracks, and quite often a lower arm that bent will have bent the upper control arm too. If you look around all these parts are available pretty cheap so not too bad, also if you've been considering adjustable camber arms, it could be a good time to do it
  23. My super cluttered street car bay The riced up drift cars bay
