  1. color is quite unique. in that condition in 2017 the owner should be listing it for 50-55 imo. wonder what it's done in the last 15-16 years...
  2. What's your budget and when do you expect to own one? Timing sometimes just doesn't work in your favour and today's $30k would get you lesser of a car than $30k, say 3-5 years ago in regards to GTR's and there isn't much you can do about it.
  3. Welcome to SAU - Did you mean they wanted $24,500? instead of $4,500? also I wouldn't personally say the 33 is more capable than the 34 but personal preference prevails. Given the steady rise of 34/32's the $30k mark will get your foot in to the basics with Series 3's commanding more $ (not a bcnr33 owner myself so I don't have the specifics on models as others) Lots of other costs to consider apart from purchasing the vehicle - good to see you've started to tally them up
  4. 10 - 40. which is about 167mm of dish compared to 155mm for 11 - 15. something like that
  5. havent had much daylight recently only getting 30mins to do stuff after work and before its dark drivers weatherstrip is off, the old one had a torn corner. my retainers are decent enough not to warrant a new set. surprised how the window inner/outer mouldings, weatherstrips and retainers are about 2k all up... only replace when broken haha and very selectively too... yeah its a quick job pulling the seats out/in again.
  6. I'd likely paint the engine bay while I'm at it just like refreshing the covers but I'm not sure the costs or the existing condition of your engine bay. Don't think candy red is a color you'd redo your stock covers in. rather something you get from a 34 motor. the 'RB26' lettering is slightly different on the 34 motors - slightly thinner. I only got around to pulling the left one off, breaking every single clip from the existing one... I'll chuck on the new ones this weekend hopefully. Wouldn't mind giving the seats steam clean but probably won't get time to before they go back in
  7. I personally like the stock black non-gloss texture, even if I did a rebuild, I'd at most redo it in the same color. Revisited this thread as i remembered you made some comments around putting the C Pillars which i started tonight after taking out all my seats and giving the carpet a good clean. no coins or anything just crumbs possible KFC or maccas... this thread made me wana do stuff haha - cheers for that
  8. hope the rebuild is going well, any updates?
  9. I've had the same experience talking to NRMA as mr_rbman. $40k was agreed upon without mentioning any modifications I'd done, I recall the premium for me was around 6-700/p.a. I'd hit em up for 45k and see what they come back with. (I didn't go with them as the policy didn't suit my requirements in some areas)
  10. love how it looks dark/black until you get closer or in some lighting conditions
  11. I haven't done materials science for years now but I don't recall it being that much of an issue for CF. I'll be wondering around AJD at some stage and having a suss, you entered? Trying to tidy up mine for the next meet whenever that is..
  12. I'm liking the all black theme you got going on. mines a bit less color orientated Havent popped the grille on yet but the panel will be going under it. I'm assuming you've got the genuine GD item so fitment would be better? I picked mine up from dori34, fitment was largely ok just had to dremel a few holes and I did enlarge the bit just below the bonnet latch to let it move freely. Bonnet needs a bit more pressure to close now but no biggie. im just fussy lol
  13. coincidentally I was putting mine on over the weekend. nice carbon grille too
