  1. Hows the fuel cap cover terry? is it as functional as it is visual?
  2. Sure why not? JOC will will confirm kms. I actually like the nismo white dials I'm just assuming you're after a near-stock example (not sure if you've mentionned in this thread or the other one what you'll be using it for) $59k seems a little high but around the $55k mark would be these days prices for such an example provided everything checks out. maybe a year or two ago it would have been more closer to $50k for a stockish one
  3. aka next car in the search haha.
  4. show us car #2 please...
  5. Your attention to detail is that of a collector ! I'd totally get you to suss out my next purchase. Resealed headlights seem fine, although I'm not sure a set of r34 headlights are worth (i rmb them to be $$$ iirc) if theres no signs of air/moisture as is, shouldn't have an issue. Covers showing slight heat marks probably not seen from a distance, i'd imagine similar marks on the plenum. Most of the interior you'd never see daily but I can understand just being thourough. I didn't even inspect my 32 in this much detail and I used to be fussy... I'd prolly wait for a 34 owners to comment, plus have you seen another 34 yet? it might be worth seeing another in the flesh for a more direct comparison.
  6. sell them and cut your losses and buy something more suitable. great wheels though, i've got a set of those in +15.
  7. I've always said that you 'never' buy the first car you see. Unsure how long you've been trying to look for one but the first one is always memorable, after that you hop around a few examples and slowly but surely you'll find one thats 90% of what you're after and work on it later to fill that 10% gap. I'd seen that 34 on the road once, looked pretty standard, had no clue it was packing that much power.
  8. challenge; how many nismo items you can count in one photo. (must be on vehicle or where its supposed to be lol)
  9. Yeah the AUD is taking a huge dive around 70c USD or thereabouts. As I've said elsewhere there isn't many BNR34's for sale and the ones which are, 50% of the aren't priced well enough hence will still be there for a long time. The other lot, worked examples north of $60k with more average versions around the $50k mark pre-negotiations. With $60k that's a relatively comfortable budget but given you've posted about a stock-ish GTR, id say any would be mododed to some extent. Think there's a silver on in SA for $68 or something, absolute animal.
  10. cept the airbox...that's all kinds of dirty... haha Take more pics and lets play "spot that Nismo"
  11. Kudos has one for $770pp. You'd need to check if its for the right year. I've ordered a Nardi deep corn suede 350mm/80mm offset and WB boss kit (suede to match rest of interior details). My approach is maintain a stock look/color scheme but update select items/replace broken OEM items. Good idea, my seats need a good clean, probably with the rest of the interior actually
  12. Geez, this makes me want to checkout my RHD cart... I'm also in an interior revamp mode with inspiration from various SAU build threads/google/magazines etc currently done, triple gauge/dash LED's, superior auto CF-look gear/brake boots, suede covered a-pillars from a tweeter install, duracon shifter, dash mat. current wishlist, centre vent, c-pillars, window rubbers, floor mats, lighting, door handles, r34 pedals. what's next for you?
  13. How bad do you want it? Agree with Hadouken... $60k 'repaired' writeoff. Given it's stock, $60k sounds like the owner doesn't want to pay for their own lack of research and is spruiking the 'low kms'. If you are considering, given the potential resale value pending it's structurally ok, would be around the $45k mark my guess is. genuine kms or not, all you are deciphering is the condition/wear but it's less relevant when you throw in some accident damage/repair. like breaker1845 said, as long as you know the history, you can bargain for a mutual price, if not move on. How fussy are you? tried Iron Chef?
  14. I guess if you are interested, downside is some less concerned buyer could come along. $45k would be a decent buy, so unlikely they'd let it go for that. and if the repairs are fine... ?
  15. I guess being a VS2 gives it a slight premium.
  16. It better be a shade of MNP or some Omori Factory treatment for that much. Or at least notably better than any local AUS example in that price range, to even consider. Reminds me of a R32 GTR Iron Chef posted with an S1, R35 Brembos, R34 6sp transmission - arguably one of the best I've seen, around the $80k mark as well
  17. Good to see select owners going that extra step, as it's likely news to them as well. I'm a mech engineer to but I wouldn't know a thing about that haha - best to leave it to experts if you decide to pursue this one further. Safe to say this one's still on the books for you?
  18. lol yeah, 360's commanding GTR money, despite the brand appeal, I don't think I'd buy one personally. GT3's 04's 07's all come and go quickly. 04's around GTR money but I really like the 07's - harness and cage? yes please. Yeah low 40's have come and gone. Now it's $50-60k for 34 gtr's just like $25-30k for bnr32's, i dont really follow 33's.
  19. Yeah been following GTR prices, lowest are essentially 90's high km 09's with some 11' models around the $130k mark. I've seen what Hadouken is talking about, there was a period where there was many more r34 gtr's and some less desirable ones were asking around $40k but that's gone up since then. $45-50k is the new 40k. Was surprised there wasn't an abundance of r34 gtr's actually. only 2 in MP and not a great variety of models either (nur, altho there are 2 n1's... go figure)
  20. I had split/extended dumps, front pipe, hi flow cat, catback 3in resonator/muffler done by them about 5 years go for my 32gtr Andrew fitted it for me and what not. the tip was slightly longer than i wanted but ive grown to like it haha no issues. pretty sure theyve expanded their catalogue since then. was great to deal with in emails/in person. out of curiosity, how much is the 4in titanium system?
  21. Could sell your 33 now for $30k also if it was clean. i'm a bit of a stickler when i scope carsales for 32's to compare mine to have a price in my head of how trends are going and i've rarely seen many that i'd consider clean. too many poeple have had time to play with it, usually cheap bolt ons, gauge this, gauge that...etc
  22. On carsales the 33's range from $15-35k which is almost 32 price range with the higher priced ones being advertised for a long time. 34's are no less than $45k for the lower end and some of those I wouldn't even bother looking at. I do agree few years back some dipped to the low $40's but not as of late, haven't really been all that many 34's really.
  23. what LMGT's specs are you running? I'm assuming 9.5+12s?
  24. Thats not a bad plan. Ultimately the resale value will fluctuate with demand/rarity but also if effected by how you maintain/drive/modify the car during your ownership. as breaker1845 said, cars that appreciate are only the ones that are limited edition, low production, old, high demand due to various influences, or bit of everything. If you buy a $50-60k GTR today and sell it in 5 years, given its relatively young age and the price of GTR's in comparison (~$60k for 09-11 at a guess in 2020?) it would need to be an outstanding car to command such a price. Plus all the sunuk costs in mods/running the car during that time. It's different for me with a 32GTR having owned one for 6 years at ~20k, it's pretty much hit rock bottom and bounced back a little. As long as it still resembles a car itll be worth at least 20k. my2c.
