  1. Hey guys, I do not need these anymore so they are up for sale.

If you have the V35 Skyline 350GT-8 with the CVT transmission, then somewhere between 80 to 100,000km you will need to change the trans oil. Even if you bought the car with over 100,000km on the clock, don't assume its been changed as the car yards that import these do not change the oil, its too expensive for them. If you don't, then very soon it will be damaged or break completely, and the cost of a new transmission is around the $20k mark, repair is not cheap or easy either.

There is only ONE type of oil you can use and it is Nissan part no. KLE51-00004. Only sold by Nissan Japan, no alternatives made by any other trans oil maker. If you ring Nissan Australia, they will either tell you they want nothing to do with it, or they will just tell you to put the same CVT oil in that is used by the Nissan Maxima. DO NOT do this, they are two completely different transmissions, and it will kill your CVT transmission in 5 seconds flat. If you're not sure, let me know as I have links to all the information that shows this.

I have 2 x 4Litre cans, which is enough to do a complete trans oil change, together I am selling them for $1000. Yes, they are that expensive, but I am cheaper than anyone in Australia as I imported these myself when the exchange rate was decent. The only other person I know of that has this oil is a guy in NZ that is a specialist in CVT's, and he charges $1500.

I won't charge for delivery, I have a courier that can deliver them in 3 days to most capital cities etc.

If you need these, I can be contacted via messaging on this site, thanks.

  2. could be my eyes or something...but I reckon if Thomas the Tank Engine was suddenly transposed into that photo, it wouldn't look out of place!

Best 4 door I've seen to date...!

(oh..ps...please tell me the cam lens/settings you used...or was it software...just an incredible effect!)

Hey mate, not quite sure where you're coming from with the Thomas the Tank Engine comment, but I'll take the 'best 4 door' comment no worries, haha

I don't own a digital SLR or anything like that, the pic was taken with my Samsung Omnia, then I just used various software tools until I achieved the right effect.

  3. Hey Vish, when are you gonna call me, I've been missing you, why do you treat me like this? hahahaha

    Anyway, heres my Skyline:

Stats are: 2005 V35 Sedan w/ 27K on the clock,

    Starcorp Racing Fusion wheels, 19x8.5 (+38) front & 19x9.5 (+45) rear

King Springs lowered car 1.3" all round

    Mirror tint and xForce muffler

  4. All this talk of people not knowing what cars we have, well it seems kids are totally up to date with it.

1 - I went to visit a friend, and the neighbourhood kids were out playing, a 10yr old asked me if it was the 350gt, i said yes, and then he laughed and told my mate that his Ford XR6 was slower, how the hell does a 10yr old know this? haha

2 - I was picking up my daughter from school, and when I got out of the car, I overheard some kids nearby talking. One of them didn't know what it was but was really impressed and telling the other kids to have a look, but then one kid pipes up and says, 'its only a Skyline!'. Once again, how the hell do kids recognise these cars? :/

  5. I lowered my V35 sedan about 12 months ago approx 30mm all round, and in all my wisdom biffed the factory springs out not thinking I'd use them again. Now that I am wanting to use them again and return the car to std ride height, I cant seem to find any dimensions for factory springs so i can then go searching for an 3rd party alternative. I'm being told that I may have to take the current set out and go searching, but most of the suppliers here in NZ are fairly vague as to whether they think they could help.

If any one knows the factory heights or has their original set that they wouldn't mind measuring I'd really appreciate knowing.

    Cheers!

Hey mate, its a shame you aren't in Australia, I'd do a straight swap with you as I have the standard springs and want to lower about an inch all round. Just curious mate, what springs do you have? Thanks.

  6. Hey mate,

I'm looking for some springs that will lower my car about an inch or a little more for my V35 sedan. So I need to know a few things:

1 - Do the second hand Tein S-Techs fit the V35 sedan?

2 - If so, do they lower the ride height and by how much?

3 - Are they progressive rate?

4 - Are they super stiff or firm but comfortable on the street?

    5 - How much?

If they are what I'm looking for, then you can lock me in for the purchase, thanks mate.
