i think ur friends goin down and it will for for quite awhile. his best chance of getting off is calling in the media. but to do that he has to admit he was a bad driver in the first place or they will pin everything on him. with the license he was still probationary. if he lost his licence or had it suspenned when u get ur licence back your 'p' plate period starts afresh. unless they have changed that law in the last few years. this happened to a friend i use to work with.

To a degree i agree with the law. ie something has to be done to incourage the people that abuse it to stop. but loosing a car that in most cases is over 20k is a horrible punishment. it can financially ruin a person for a long time, for something they may not have done. as mentioned before by zanda, this law is open to be abused by the police ie targetting the performance car community and bad press getting the public offside. the government and police need to tread carefully to make sure if passed this law is carried out fairly.

On threads Yes we lock them, open them and edit peoples posts with-in them. After a thread is locked yes mods can post in it again. Dan thanks for posting that link, reading that again tells me none of the mods on the entire forum follow that 100% of the time. I will now follow the forum rules to the letter. So I will be doing the below. Moderators; Always log your actions in the Moderators section! Always discuss possible bannings prior to taking action! If a post has been made which breaches the general forum rules - edit that post, explain what they did wrong, and sign it with your name. Do not delete threads. Move them to the "moved" section in the Mods discussion - this way we can always restore them if we need to. Onto the mystery man. If you guys all had such a problem with him why weren't any of the moderators told about it???? We can talk to them in pm and hopefully clear things up with them so the forum experience can be enjoyed by all. He did the right thing and sent a pm this morning.

All members new and old. When asking a question there is a high chance it has been asked before. Each forum and sub-forum has a search function with a basic and advanced area. It is located in the top right hand corner of the forum. Please use it, as of late it has caused some frustration and annoyance among members and some complaints have been made. The search function is very simply and doesn't take that long to use. You may or may not find the information your looking for but it is very useful.

I didn't name names, did I. It was written that way so people could evaluate for themselves there actions. Also no reprimands have been made as the person in question hasn't complained and no ones else seems to care how he is treated. Well lets see, there a basic guildline but one has never been offically written up and given to us to follow. Now to behaviour on the WA boards of late. Quite afew threads have gone off-topic and stayed there so they were closed. Those who are responsible should know better, considering the two main culprits of late are part of the fledgling WA committee. A large number of the current regulars take great joy in picking on one particular member. this member is young and excited about his new car. No reason to treat him the way he gets treated. Abit of a joke and giggle thats ok but not for how long this has lasted, especially when the guy gets bagged out on a cruise he doesn't even attend. Again committee members are instigators in this behaviour. To whoring well thats been done to death. What ever we do it keeps happenning.
