  1. 10w40 and 20w50 full syn oils should have everyone's bases covered, I have no idea why anyone would want to use heavier oils in a high revving motor like an RB? unless I had no oil cooler and I was bashing through a Dakar rally then maybe I would use a 60 weight
  2. in regards to the coolant hoses why do people use silicone all the time is it just because it's cheaper everyone who has spoke to me has sworn by silicon and says it's better but I'm not sold on the idea. I actually want original rubber looking items
  3. cold air intake and a modest free flowing exhaust and maybe a tune tidy up is about all you can do. Naturally aspirated will only ever breathe atmospheric pressure it doesn't matter how big the pipe is in diameter something has to draw it in or slam it into the motor for it to be effective and you have nothing.. You would get better results from weight reduction and better tires. good luck
  4. Any formula of oil that has more of one particular thing (solvents) has sacrificed something else to fit it all in.

  6. I spun a big end bearing at Wakefield with valvoline in my car many years back and never used it since. I'v used 300v in all my track bikes under the most abusive conditions and even though it's not a turbo car, the bikes gearbox shares the engines oil aswell allowing me to feel the changes in the viscosity through the gearbox and what I noticed was how stable it is even when belting it in summer 3 track days and 5000ks and feels great. so for me it's a case of if it ain't broke don't fix it. it's quality shit but pricey

  11. yeah 044 external is massive can be heard coming down the street no problems
  12. I installed my 044 in my last car in tank submerged and could not be heard at all. absolutely nothing , just surround it completely with fuel resistant rubber and submerged in the tank it's quiet as cannot be heard at all 0db
  13. Does anyone know exactly what spec turbochargers were used on the Australian Touring Car Gtr in the group A series? I've read somewhere that it's the dash fives but not too sure about that, can anyone confirm? just very curious that's all
  14. my recent squeal once car warmed up turned out to be the tensioner bearing and possibly the gates belt which was on the car already which doesn't flex as well as the original one so some excess tension was put on the bearings causing them to squeal due to the expansion of the engine as it warmed up something to think about

  16. I basically went to autobahn grabbed motul full syn gbox, engine, diffs , coolant, everything, cost 500 got a 100 discount for spending so much. I'm a MOTUL biased whore. tracked all my litre bikes for years on the shit and never had an issue so I just stuck with it but there are many good full syn oils out there now days..
