I assume thats all been done when i got the gbox replaced and the clutch fluid was changed on my service now if it was done properly i have no clue. I was thinking that it might be my clutch master but im not 2 sure. Someone has told me it might be my link pin thats short

long story short i bought my r31 and it needed a new gearbox and thrust bearing i got them changed and lately something hasnt been going right. it all started when i would shift into 2nd gear to easy without finding the gap it would just go in when i put it towards 2nd and lately when iv been holding the clutch in theres been a rattle noise as im letting it go and in gear. the worst is when im in reverse and im playing with the clutch so i dont stall it. Also the clutch feels soft so the only thing i can think of right now is that the clutch wasnt aligned correctly when they fixed my thrust bearing. also to add with the shifting of gearboxes its like impossible to get into reverse without the gears crunching a lil and the box is a recod box so it shouldn't have any problems at all. does anyone have a clue what the problem is? as soon as i heard the car turn off i knew somthing wasnt right coz my area is very quiet and i think i know who they were. i couldnt care less if they steal the car its just that its a pitty if it goes coz iv put 2k into it on repairs for a new box and a few other things and market value is probably how much i paid for it so ill be out of pocket

about 10 mins ago i heard a car with a exhaust stop across the road from me at the park and 2 mins after that a basketball being bounced so i was looking thru the door and then turned on the light and heard them getting into the car. ran out with the baseball bat but they wer long gone. the car sounded like a sss or some shit 4 cyl. pretty epic they made it so obvious by playing basketball at 12:30am L0L!!! cars in the driveway now and im waiting for them to come back if they are idiots

if you want a good job and want it done by someone who knows what there doing i suggest don't go cheap coz you will end up with what you pay for

u went wrong on the rims and the spoiler deff put them bak on

problem solved it was the accelerator cable thats stuffing the revs up, getting the part ordered in and fixed and i also got the car tuned up a lil and the difference is amazing

i think iv found the problem it seems its my pedal , got stuck again tonight at 2 grand revs and i kicked it up from underneath and it went back down to normal idle so im going to probably get a new one or maybe a whole new set

just talked to my mate and he either thinks its the throttle cable thats jammed , could it be it?

alright im new to the skyline scene and i recently bought a r31. I took it to my mechanics and i fixed the gearbox as the syncros were stuffed and it wouldnt go into 4th gear. I also changed the thrust bearing because it was crap. I told him about this rev problem i was having and he said he took a look and it was fine but just before it happened again on the way home. I turned into the street and went to 4 grand revs in 2nd and then i took my foot off the pedal , the revs just stayed there without dropping so i tried to put the car in neutral and try 2nd gear again and the same thing. then i turned it off while it was rolling in neutral and then turned it back on and the revs just bounced back to 4 grand. i parked it after i knew that there was somthing wrong and let it sit there for about 2 mins and i put my foot behind the pedal incase it was stuck and thats the reason it was giving me 2 grand revs. i did it and they fell down to 2 grand. after i thought its better so i proceeded to head home. got to the next street and stopped fully and the car was back to normal. i have no idea what this problem is and im paranoid incase it happens at the wrong time and something happens. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? the cars a 1987 r31 sillo 5 speed with extractors exhaust other then that i have no clue whats been done. Cheers Costa
