No App. Get in front of a PC for the nostalgia. Now we don't want to go back to far in the stone ages...... Windows 95 or 98 maybe...... -
V36 fuel economy and pinging
robbo_rb180 replied to R377's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Clean MAFs, Check O2 sensors are good, Check knock sensors are good. They are quiet conservative on timing and factory knock maps (low Octane) are good. Highway I get 8.8-9.2L/100km in my 370z so must be an issue somewhere. Tuning anything VQ based is expensive due to Uprev licence costs & tuners knowing how to use it. HPtuners can now do a small amount of stuff but not worth the time compared to Uprev -

thats a good castor bracket, a vice and a few pairs of vice grips with a hammer is what i generally use to straighten the bent parts. The plate adds so much strength to them part remember it will bend the next weakest part its bolted to. -

Poor mans seam/spot welding........ Seen it on a lot of drift cars in early 2000's -
Recommendations For Rocker Cover Gaskets

go genuine and get new washer rubbers for the bolts too from Taarks or kudos -
I know someone who has one and its amazing but he is funded by bank of dad and is serious about getting to supercars. Takes video of fastest parts and makes a perfect lap, will tell you when to brake too.

nice work, wish that brace kit was available when i did my castor boxes. Should happy with what you done so far, welding is definitely something that takes a lot of time to get right. -
Yeah adulting sucks, tell them its a great investment. Make big dollars and they should buy one too. what model M3 you thinking? I am so lucky my wife loves cars & motorsport. Very rarely does she put the foot down on some of my "expenses"

R34 GTT on Haltech ECU No MAP Input
robbo_rb180 replied to tsyk3s's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
95% of cars its fine and if done correctly with the right sized hose, fittings and a ziptie never have an issue. -
R34 GTT on Haltech ECU No MAP Input
robbo_rb180 replied to tsyk3s's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You 100% need to connect to the nipple on the haltech. Any where after the Throttle body is fine, T off the fuel reg reference. If you have no experience with ecu setup happy to help if near by -
10000% you will regret selling once the "new" car felling wears off. Find somewhere to store the 33, buy bmw, have fun in bmw then realise you enjoyed the 33 more. I was so happy when I bought back the sil80 and the first drive in it reminded why I enjoy it. I think the 33 will hold its value really well over the next 20+ years more than any modern bmw. The only thing I worry about is replacement parts for the nissans as we have trouble finding decnt parts for the HQ.

Nistune + wideband help
robbo_rb180 replied to Axt3365's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
where are you located? Will need nistune tune software & licence to modify the tune. -
Nistune + wideband help
robbo_rb180 replied to Axt3365's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Have you set MAF to z32? set injector size? When I have used nistune, wideband is connected to the laptop via USB. If can't connect to laptop put the sensor in the dump pipe bung and just adjust it reading off the guage. @Dose Pipe Sutututu has more Nistune experience than me -
good V36 tune shops in QLD?
robbo_rb180 replied to mybrains's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Yes East Coast Customs are the go. Rob actually spent a bit of time with Uprev in the US. Best to give them a call and speak with them on what you want, pretty good staff and know the platform quiet well. -
S13 Sprint/Time Attack Style Build
robbo_rb180 replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Motorsport Builds
yeah that looks pretty good, current kit is complete so just run with it. Its hard buying/sharing a car with people, I was almost going to get in on a production car but wasn't really going to work out when came time to sell my share. And then theres the issue if someone bins it...... -
S13 Sprint/Time Attack Style Build
robbo_rb180 replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Motorsport Builds
Yeah a mate has found that out wit his r35, needs 2 people to just to run it for a basic test day. Bite the bullet get wider guards, Kmak aero is a lot better quality than the "jap" stuff thats made overseas. If goal is to run a 295 eventually tub it. Do it once and be ready for future, engine is still a while off.. Surprised you haven't just snapped this up https://www.facebook.com/groups/1597445057169847/permalink/3134510930129911/?sale_post_id=3134510930129911 -

I was being precious too about drilling & cutting into the tubs. Powersteer res is behind PAS headlight and both relay/fuse boxes are mounted on rad support, overflow mounted off strut tower in front of BMC. only thing not in there is the oil filter which is remote mounted to chassis rail clear of the front right wheel -
