Bosch donut knock sensors install
robbo_rb180 replied to mrsr32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I cut the mount threading off the factory sensor and welded on a bolt to it so bosch sensor is in factory locations. -
a blower on 6-8psi on ethanol is the easiest way. Anything more is rods and pistons. Contact East Coast Customs as they are all over above combo https://www.eccustoms.com/ https://www.facebook.com/eccustoms/ Did heaps when I was there with good results, factor in headers, a clutch and oil cooler too.

Well I have sold the sil80, luckily to my brother so will still be doing all the work on it and be able to drive it every once and a while. Its been a journey but have now moved focus to 100% race cars and new car is here just needing an engine & gearbox setup to drop in which is all it needs as is an epic base to start with and still a nissan. Cheers for reading and following along.

A rb25 with headgasket and studs, standard exhaust manifold with external gate mod, gtx3076 w/.82 rear on ethanol be perfect make 300kw on 16psi and will be linear. Pick an ecu and fuel system (ID1050 injectors and a Bosch intank pump around 400lph) Been running a similiar setup for years in my sil80 (gt3076) and is very responsive and quick. More than enough to have fun and is great to drive.

The 370z is the same anyone over 6 foot struggles in mine. Headroom is minimal for them. The big difference with the interior is the new dash cluster and touch screen. Door cards, switches and centre consoleand A/c controls are from the early pre 2014 Z.

R32 seat belt buckles
robbo_rb180 replied to notgoodwithnames's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've used Silvia and pulsar ones in the past cheap from wrecker -
Awesome, good colour choice too. Will like to hear how you find after a few months. If you get the itch to mod it lots of parts from the USA to make good power.

V35 Saloon VK45DE build

That looks good, great work. I don't think I'll be cutting up my Z to do this conversion. -

Whats the plan for the sheet metal that was cut away on firewall? -

this is a cool conversion, always wondered how this platform would go with a non LS v8 conversion. Been a few in the USA who start putting VK v8s in but never finish them. -

Enjoy the selling part, they are the worst to deal with. -
Identifying driveshafts and tailshaft?
robbo_rb180 replied to Duncan's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The 2x3 bolt drive shafts are s13 Will have to measure my tailshaft but is probably s13 too -
Easy to do as Duncan has said. our tuner needs to enable ARC feature pack which is around $100-150 on top of your original Uprev licence which allows 5 maps, basic igntion table tuning table and various other features (burnout mode and Launch control). Syvecs do a plug in and is around $6k plus install & tune. Can control the auto box.

What bolt axle do you have 2x3 or 5x1? 5x1 is the better design. How low is the car and what angle are the axles at? What was the condition of the axle? plenty of people running the standard gear with a lot of power & semi slicks. Best upgrade is the 350z but will require a diff swap and I think a hub swap to suit the outer splines similiar to gtr.

cd009 speedo for r32
robbo_rb180 replied to mrsr32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Something like this would have to be used https://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=886/mode=prod/prd886.htm Or maybe retro fit just the r33 speedo into r32 cluster. -
Insurance on a modified import is ridiculous. I was quoted almost $1500 a year and driving maybe once a fortnight, car stored in a shed behind a fence. I just didn't insure my sil80 anymore as I didn't drive it in peak hours and only to a few certain places. Some companies also won't insure modified vehicles for just 3rd party too.

Targa give refunds 😂 Yeah hopefully once everything has calmed down and reviewed they will come up with better procedures for rallysafe & incidents. Having to always check speed is dangerous but at least stuff with efi/after market ecu can set limits.

New sporting & technical Regs will be out in January so will see. I suspect a lot of the classic GT cars will have they wings clipped. They have already capped speed at 200kph but it how fast the top cars get there & maintain it is one issue I see. At Targa GBR last year there were lots of RTZ to slow us down and to avoid cars jumping crests too. Most drivers also don't do much driving throughout the year. I wonder if Rallysafe is testing their gear in these locations as seems to be a lot of drop outs. Did they do any more detailed briefing on rallysafe?

Welcome, thats a good collection of cars. Any plans for them in the future?

How were you going with it before it was cancelled? Great effort to make it to the event, hopefully its not the last competitive one. Been interesting watching all the commentary/opinions on facenovel.

Twins vs single vs 2 x singles lol
robbo_rb180 replied to Old man 32 GTR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thats a mates kit. He never ran it on his r32 as always changing engine setups, now onto his 2nd billet block. Its cool in an old school way but if you have something modern ready to go I would try that first. Another big twin kit https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1337571193401182/?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A6c394186-c690-400d-bad5-86120d84c9a7
