  1. I rang a guy about an s15 IPRA car last week but was sold and was priced well and have been tagged by mates in a few but have not found anything that ticks most of the boxes. This is a big one for me Will probably just fix the current race car as I know whats wrong and what needs to be done to improve it.
  2. Cars looking great, you won't be disappointed with MCA coilovers.
  3. hows the hunt for a chassis going? seen a few half finished s chassis come up lately. @Dose Pipe Sutututu when will you be heading to mexico?
  4. Got the sil80 out for round 2 of the local sprints, put the Nankang Ar1 back on and sorted a wheel alignment. Car went pretty well bar the cooler pipe coming off the DBW throttle body, alternator playing up when hot and getting use to it again as only been 4 years since I last raced it. Finished 6th outright and 2nd in class with a 48.64 some very quick cars & drivers out there. Missing my fixed back seat and harness like the race car......... Plan to get a throttle body to vband/clamp thing on and mod cooler pipe, corner weight, LS alternator conversion and re-align it. Cars got plenty of power so no point going e85 yet. It's around 4 weeks until next event. Will get the gopro and film next event as was in a rush to get ready and forgot it
  5. that would be the fuel pump relay priming. so ecu has power to trigger it, sure no ignition? Pull a plug and test spark, a common issue is fuel lines around the wrong way 😅
  6. welcome, rb's goes well in s chassis. Plenty of info out there as but best resource on Nissansilvia.com is gone
  7. make sure to have good earth point from engine to chassis and battery to chassis. Check voltage at the CAS, coils and injectors too
  8. I am currrently scanning a complete guide ATM. Here you go a few pages are missing like factory diagram but the rest will get you sorted S13 to RB25 Wiring Diagram.PDF
  9. Rocky has Mt Morgan hill climb in July. Whitsunday motorsport runs a few dirtkhana and sprints. Up in Townsville, Marque have sprints at driveit and tcac run Hill climb and motorkhanas
  10. transfer case doesn't bolt up, I read that mal wood does a bolt in t56 conversion now but can't find any pics
  11. Welcome, looks to be stock. Whats the plan, Tidy up & enjoy?
  12. if you haven't seen/heard there is a sprint round at DriveIT next weekend and a hill climb up mt stuart on the 30th if your keen for some motorsport https://www.facebook.com/MarqueSportsCarRegisterNQ https://www.facebook.com/Townsvillecityautosportsclub
  13. buy the 370z and add this kit with a crate engine https://www.sikky.com/product/sikky-stage-3-nissan-370z-ls3-swap-package/
  14. Yeah I was at the same point with my car too but it is cool to drive old cars around.... *stares at the HQ in the garage *
  15. Depends, I have driven a few supercharged/turbo Zs from 260 to 450kw. Fun with all the modern things. Now after having my 370 for a while it's not a great car as daily driver. No room for groceries, not good on rough/poor condition roads (Townsville to Brisbane 1400km one way) and getting in and out of it. Mine is a nismo so suspension and seats are different but nothing different to Coilovers. I was going to turbo it but have given up on that as would ruin its reliability and could go buy a 2nd hand bmw/vw and not have to change the whole fuel system, cooling and other bits. Was going also going to sell my Rb25 sil80 but it does a few things better than the Z. Also depends if you are going to track it as Z needs decent oil cooler to help temps but everything else is good to go.
  16. Bring it up modified plenty of shops up here would mod plate it if it's super clean and done properly
  17. if you can get a thermal camera and check the fuse and relays, very handy for diagnosing faulty relays or high resistance issues. Guessing heat issue in an electrical component.........
  18. Have you checked ecu fault codes? Could be iginotor getting hot, fuel pump failing. Go through proper diagnosis before throwing parts at it.
  19. It seems you gone through and diagnosed everything else. See if you can borrow an ecu from someone local. Got to remember these cars are getting on and things will randomly fail.
  20. Good to hear you got it sorted.
  21. Yeah with heat comes resistance. Run new wires and make sure the 2 signal wires are shielded, will fix all your problems as if you look at trigger/ignition logs you will see it going erratic as RPM increases. PRP dwell settings work fine for the coils. How fun is modifying cars 😅 I think if an Australian with some decent experience on Japanese cars came over they would fix alot of the issues people have over there.
  22. Have had issues in the past with Rb to s chassis conversion wiring with the that dash output not connected and speed needs to be connected for things to work correctly. Pin 53 is speedo input on Rb25 ecu Double check connectors here and back of the cluster.
  23. It's in the loom between the dash and ecu. There is a plug that won't be seated properly as has been mentioned the dash does the conversion from the speed sensor then a wire goes to a connector near the ecu. No need for a new old stock loom. Find the plug and check it or remove the cluster find output pin and run a new wire to the ecu. I'll try and get a picture of the connector in the morning
  24. so Speedo works on the dash but ecu doesn't detect non-driven wheel speed? What ecu? probably using one of the abs sensors for non-driven speed and you have now modified the circuit as some ecu require a digital input not Ac as most abs sensors are. what happens when you reconnect the wire you cut?
  25. Have you tried running a complete new loom to the CAS? may be a high resistance in it. What's the cost to swap to an elite ecu over there?
