  1. Good to hear been wanting one for a while but never had problems with the old ecu setup. Was bored so fitted Ac belt and new tensioner so just need to add some gas. And........ Pulled plugs and compression check. Plugs good, comp meh (used 2 gauges) also thought I fixed an oil leak from cam cover but looks to be coming from between the head and block
  2. Yeah, will be going the nz wiring trigger kit as seems to be best bang for buck and is plug n play.
  3. So....... Dyno didn't go as planned. Didn't make power it should have. Looks like having fuel pressure and trigger issue. Also forgot to turn off vtc so which caused a few small problems that I didn't realise until I talked with a mate. Going to order trigger kit and upgrade fuel reg before heading to rockynats as would be good to make decent power again.
  4. change all Oils & filters, check coolant and make sure its bled properly, spark plugs, brake fluid & check pads, inspect hoses and belts. Windscreen wipers too I drove my HG gts from Adelaide to Townsville after sitting in a shed for 22years just did the above and had no major dramas.......
  5. who is tuning & installing it? Go with what ever the tuner recommends. Personally Link G4+/x is my go to as have most experience with the software. They do a plugin for r33 and heaps of safety features if required will throw made flames on gear shifts & limiter
  6. Got the Aircon lines in with new o-rings and drier, just need to wire the plug to compressor and gas it up. Booked a few hours of dyno hire Tuesday so be good to have it running and ready for street driving again. Took the 370z out to first event at new driveIT facility. Went pretty good and fastest car on street tyres. It goes pretty well but definitely need decent tyres to catch the faster guys. Overall impressed for a stock car and surprised a few people but if I was tracking it often a manual would be a lot better.
  7. Should do a build thread would love to see the rest of the car if engine bay and brake setup is that neat. Also great results on Dyno, how is the car to drive with the 6 speed?
  8. That's a great looking engine bay
  9. Get that shed sorted and will make working on the car much better. Have you found a car yet?
  10. @ActionDanhow is your donmegaspec Sr going? Hoping to have mine in and tuned late April for its first event.
  11. Yeah no point taking it out unless a you are going to have a crack at winning a state level event in a purpose built race car. Let me know if you want any info, I've got a firm price I'll let it go for pretty much roadworthy but byo rwc.
  12. Minimum requirement for a street car for me now. I won't be holding onto this much longer hopefully it's going up for sale at rockynats. The 370 does everything this can do so much better I think.
  13. Slowly been chipping away at little bits everyday at the moment. Flushed cooling system again as all gunk had turned coolant brown after a few heat cycles, refilled with Demineralised water and penrite red coolant but looks like it needs one more decent flush which I'll do after Dyno tune on the 16th. Finally got the ethrottle 100% sorted with some help from Link, I didn't realise idle control table was an adder for ethrottle map so now cold/hot starts and idle is perfect. Spent this afternoon sorting lines for the air conditioning. Gave them a quick clean. Required some light bending to use a mix of r33 and s13. Will replace the drier and o-rings before gassing it. Need to look at the climate control unit as stuck on heat and floor vents which is annoying.
  14. Dry sump and Samsonas would have prevented that failure 😜 First proper service in almost 4 years, going to be using this Penn grade oil as a local parts shop is now sponsoring the race car for the year with free oils and filters for the cars.
  15. this should help you get started https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/321512-s13-rb20-conversion/ https://forums.nicoclub.com/highfiv5-s-rb20-s13-wiring-guide-for-dummies-t491503.html I'll be scanning in a guide tonight that I've used multiple times
  16. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hHSNbCHSiLlX0qBrIp9QKR1SsQwajXVO/view if you can wait a few days i have a guide that I can scan & post up but above diagram will get it started
  17. welcome, car looks to be in great condition
  18. Could try one from a sr20 gearbox or a signal converter maybe easier to use. There was a topic on here not long ago about speed drives and compatibility.
  19. Yeah want to get it all done before getting stuck into the racecar again.
  20. Got the exhaust all done and it turned out ok. Got it up nice and high with plenty of clearance, painted it all black except for the mufflers and made up a tailshaft loop as MA regs requires one. Started with an aeroflow loop kit and modified it to suit. Then sent the car off to the detailer and had it cleaned properly, got the interior wet cleaned also got the windows tinted. Next cleaned up a cusco strut brace I've had sitting around by powder coating the brackets black and polished the bar. Need some new bolts before fitting it. Have now got a date to finish the car off as I've entered rockynats at Easter in the street drags, Dyno and cruise so now sorting out little things before rego and tune in a few weeks. Spent tonight fitting front wheel speed sensor and making a template for ducting to the oil cooler. Tomorrow nights plan is to do a service with new oil, filter, coolant and plugs as it's been a long time since I did it. Biggest job I'm hoping to have sorted by rockynats is working aircon, I've got all the lines but going to put some heat sleeve over them and do o rings will be nice to have for cruising.
  21. no issues but we have installed a aluminium spacer to replace the rubber bush. Plazmaman plenum is the best way to retain drivability down low https://plazmaman.com/product/rb25-r33-inlet-plenum/ can also use rb30/vl engine mounts or any 40mm thick ones (cortina are ones work)
  22. Have heard of an Rb20 loom and ecu with nistune being modified to work on a rb30 would be the most economical way to go.
  23. Just rewire the cas. Google search Rb25 cas wiring. Was multiple posts in the last month on what wires were Swapped
