  1. What cas do you have metal or plastic? As they are reverse of each other Need sensor gnd, 5/8/12 volt (ecu dependant, trig 1 to cam(home) , trig 2 to crank
  2. Never fitted one but you could always cut/enlarge the area where the cas gasket goes
  3. also seems like a lot of people start the vk** swap and never finish it as I couldn't find many running examples only one I've seen in person is the MCA 370z and that is never going to be a street car again. If wanting V8 the LS* swap is the way, can even use the CD009 6 speed these days that way really should only need engine mounts. Other thing may be a honda 4 cylinder of some variety pending year to meet emissions but thats a small engine in a barge.
  4. Where are you located? In Brisbane I recommend East Coast Customs & Townsville either myself or ShaneFraserMotorsport. A quick google of nistune tuners is a good place to start too
  5. Check ecu and injector fuses but probably fried ecu
  6. yep, I have gone from greddy w/Q45 to plazmaman w/ DBW. There was a noticable difference when we ran it up on the dyno a while back. Will hopefully have it all finished in a few months & have results of greddy& 6boost vs plazmaman & external gatedfactory exhaust manifold- everything else the same.
  7. blue and pink. Same dyno & workshop. the only variables was prp coil kit & the tuners as I touched up the original tune the boss did the original only really changed the fuel map & boost control.
  8. get a fan controller and wire it up as per instructions. something like this https://www.aeroflowperformance.com/af49-1029-adjustable-fan-temp-controller I have found most aftermarket fans not that great, take a tape measure to the rad and see what options fit from something like a falcon, commodore or even a 350z fan with shroud would be a huge improvement.
  9. Easy to use what you have, this will work https://au.gktech.com/products/rear-suspension/hicas-accessories/s-r-chassis-hicas-delete-combo It's easy to remove the hicas ball joint by removing the clip and pushing out the ball joint and replace it with a standard bushing as I just finished refurbing one of my subframes using a donor one.
  10. Sucks to hear about bank drama. Freeing up some dollars for a BMW or more Reno's? Please do this. How would you bonding to aluminium go with the pressure?
  11. I've used poly and whiteline bushes and prefer the whiteline subframe, lca and knuckle bushes with everything else adjustable and rose joints. Done lots of daily/highway driving with monthly track days. Gktech have been my go to choice for adjustable arms for the last 8 years, good thing is they finally sell parts to replace worn stuff. If you can find a s13 subframe as won't need hicas lockbar. Definitely worth the time doing this.
  12. Immobiliser is the last thing you need to do. Brake master cylinder sounds like it's stuffed and needs rebuild. Smell is Probably an oil leak onto the exhaust. Probably best to check compression and leak down and inspect turbo as it may have blown oil seal(burning oil smell) Car looks/sounds to be a stolen recovered. If not mechanically minded will be a long expensive problem.
  13. If going to pull it apart what a s15, a bit lighter and should be able to find one for similar money
  14. It's to route the water jackets together. Yes they look good but unless you have a a 800+hp setup not worth it. Here is a back to back on a r34 from standard to plazmaman intake, take note of the big dip. Highly recommend their top half plenums for street cars
  15. @Chris Rogers is the alarm guy, Did mine 12 years ago never had any problems. As MLR has stated a multi layer approach is the best way still the best system ever
  16. Will happily swap my old school 3076 for more efficient turbo
  17. Benefit of a quality ebc or ecu boost control is preventing wastegate creep as most wastegates will start opening before target is reached. There can be a noticable difference as wastegate will not open before that target is reached especially on external gates with adding pressure to the top port.
  18. From a forum member
  19. with dry ice i find around 20-30kg is right, weather dependent but put it in shopping bags so is easy to move around and shape to the tunnel/hard to get areas.
  20. Thats a nice upgrade. Just went back and read the whole thread, good effort on the liitle things like the sound mate on the speaker mounts. Will be a nice daily/fun weekender once its all together. Have looked at stageas for a daily but didn't need another "project" car. One thing I've found with those china manifolds was to cut the t3 flange off, remove some of the collector and lay the flange over a bit to help with strut tower clearance. If you want it to drive a bit nicer down low try and find a factory intake and fit a plazmaman style plenum helps a lot with low down torque.
  21. If I was only aiming for 400kw the following is what I would be doing for now.... Kebabtech2500/Link G4X plug in Wideband and ethanol sensors 4 inch exhaust ID 1300 injectors (Leaves plenty of head room for the future) Walbro 525 fuel pump (upgrade the wiring, relay and bulkhead connectors too) -8 teflon braid fuel line Turbosmart Fuel Reg and see how that goes as a good base to build from. If doesn't perform how you want can throw on a g35, manifold, 50mm gate, upgrade the intercooler to a plazmaman 100mm and enjoy a 450 to 500kw responsive street car.
  22. I have never installed one from that supplier. Try a cooldrive or JAS for a local supplier. System needs to be evacuated(gas recovered by a licenced person, most auto elecs can do it), Remove old compressor and fit new one, Install new o rings (I would replace the drier while there too), top up oil, pressure test with nitrogen and then regas with r134a ( again only available from a licenced person. Reccommend finding a mate who is a fridge mechanic).
  23. Never had any major issues as only been pulled up at rbt's and car has always been fine but I haven't really driven my more modified cars around for a few years now. But everything that can be mod plated is done and not too low or loud. Yeah seems to be mid 00s falcadores with cut springs and steelies. Ac is a must up here for summer. My new car flys under the radar as it's more of an old man's car.
  24. dead pump by that diagnosis. Drop in a replacement and should be alright if doing an upgrade to a bigger pump ensure you do a wiring & relay upgrade .
  25. That is in better condition than 90% of modified cars in Townsville ? Plumb screamer, quietish exhaust, working hand brake, sensible ride height and normal working roady stuff and would be fine. Staying away from bunnings car park meets, Mt Stuart and industrial estates helps too.
