  1. Got busy today and removed high mount setup. Had a few studs come out too so will add a few to the shopping list. Fitted and clocked the turbo to the hks manifold. Had to cut part of the engine mount to get it all on the car. Will try a few other mounts for clearance before final fitment. The new condenser is almost mounted up just need to fab one more bottom mount, fab a bracket for filter drier then will organise some custom ac lines. Trialling how I'll do intercooler pipes and catch can lines Starting to get a shopping list together for parts- turbosmart 45mm gate, a few -6 straight fittings, -10 90 degree, packet of -6 olives, black silicon to replace blue stuff, new gaskets, manifold nuts, vl and tc cortina engine mounts and a weld on -3 fitting. Can't decide whether to use stainless or aluminium for new pipe work, will get some prices then decide.
  2. Hey mate yep, got a bit motivation again. I'm enjoying the 34 build, bet it's a lot more fun than the silvia. Thanks. Still will be fun and make similar power. Will hang on to the high mount setup just in case.
  3. Thanks, have had some oil issues in the past so I tend to stay away from high revs. Thanks, Its interesting seeing the changes I've made over the years to make it more refined as I've gotten older. Yeah was looking at getting into something newer but couldn't get a decent offer that I would let it go for so decided to fix the things I'm not happy with.
  4. hi all, this is my sil80 Thought I would get a build thread going here as NS has died a slow death and i am lurking here alot. Bought this in August 2007 and what started as a neat 180sx with a rb25 has turned into a bottomless money pit it has gone through a lot of changes over the years from a neat daily to "pig" daily to hard parker to very tidy daily to a flaming BBQ and now to weekend racer and garage ornament due to my job i haven't had much time or motivation to enjoy it or fix it over the years but got stuck back into it around 2015 the aim was to get it all running properly take it to track days and the odd weekend cruise. Which I did for about 2 years until mid this year. I moved back to Townsville early 2016 and got back into local sprint days, hill climb and drift days once a month but have taken a break this year when i bought it, it had rb25, 3inch exhaust, rsr springs & jap shocks, 32 gtr front brakes, bov, 17's and completely stock interior-it still had a factory cassette & cd player. this is how i bought it Aug '07 in late '08 fitted up a gt3076r, link g4 ecu, fmic, greddy plenum and went 5 stud. made 230kw and was petty happy how it went. also went sil80 at the same time. how it was before respray dec '09 December 09 i decided to do a quisck respray and freshen up the suspension. well that got a bit out of hand and i ended up seam welding the engine bay & inside, full colour change, replaced most suspension componets & bushes and given the car in general a freshen up(new body rubbers, seals) august '10 2012 bought a built long motor from another forum member, went 6boost high mount and bigger rear housing. Plan is to make it back into a decent daily that I can enjoy more often and still be semi competitive at the local events in North Queensland.
  5. I'm currently adding ac back in my sil80 with a rb25 use an early model triton condenser and a 14inch spal on the front and 12 inch on the back. You will never have cooling issues even in summer on track. 400kw will be fun mines a handful with 350kw
  6. what front hubs are you using? modified skyline set or something from a fwd?
  7. Mods close please Found one
  8. HKS rb25 cast exhaust manifold looking for a hks rb25 cast manifold happy to pay for postage also have a 6boost high mount manifold thats ceramic coated and 60mm turbosmart gate I may swap with cash adjustment my way
  9. awesome work, still able to use both of your gearbox setups?
  10. 350+KW RB25 Package- bulit motor, turbo, ecu, intake and cooling system Selling the engine setup out of my sil80 to fund another project. Engine was built by Red R Racing in 2010 and I purchased it off another forum member in January 2012 with 1500km on it. I have since removed the head and put on another one with a lot of port work and nitto head gasket in August 2015 by East Coast Customs in Brisbane. Engine has less than 7000km on it as the car sat for long periods due to work. Has always been serviced with either Motul or penrite oil, changed to full synthetic when i had it tuned on flex fuel. package will come complete with Engine, Intake, Exhaust side, mounts, loom & sensors, hardrace engine mounts, oil cooler, radiator (suits s13/r32) and header tank and Exedy ceramic puk clutch. for any more information PM me and i will give you my phone number to call Will not part anything located in Townsville QLD $13000ono Engine made 310 kw @20psi on 98, 365kw @26psi on E85 engine: Mahle pistons spool rods arp bolts and studs balanced and grub screwed crank nitto oil pump larger sump with baffles and 2 -10 ports head drain tomei poncams 256 degree tomei valve springs ported head ross balancer partly grout filled oil restrictors metal headgasket ross balancer Greddy plenum with Q45 throttle body- ceramic coated 6boost manifold- ceramic coated gt3076r- ceramic coated 60mm turbosmart gate all lines braided teflon 3 inch stainless exhaust 42mm radiator headertank mocal oil block with thermostat setrab oil cooler RB26 engine covers- powder coated Mines cam baffles ECU & Fuel: 1000cc injectors nismo fuel reg gtr fuel rail Link G4 ecu- ethanol, fuel & oil pressure sensors Techedge wideband
  11. Chasing rb26 inlet manifold lower part between head and throttle bodies, TPS ,IACV and r33 rb25 intake runners will pay for postage cheers, Rob
  12. making 310kw 20psi on 98 and 365kw 26psi on e85. It stops making any more power after 26psi. I have replotted everything on the new gtx compressor maps and can see it will be more efficient with the ability to make alot more power A gtx3076 has popped up at price that i am happy to pay just really wanting to know if i am going to be making current power but 500-600rpm earlier.
  13. rb25 gt3076r to gtx3076r gen2 or efr7670 upgrade. Is it worth it? Current setup is a built motor, some mild head work, 256 poncams, 6boost manifold, turbosmart gate and gt3076r .82 rear(purchased in 2008), Flex setup. Car makes plenty of power but due to the track I race on would like a bit more response and wouldn't mind a bit more power as I've have pushed the current turbo as far it goes. I've done a lot of google searches but can't find any info relating to rb engines with the new gtx3076 gen2 turbo, I know I could step down the rear housing size but can't justify the cost of rear housing change on the old gt core. Other option i have considered is a BW efr 7670 t3 IWG on a ported std manifold that my current setup originally used as I can do the swap for about the same money as gtx but from what i have read the std manifold can become a restriction. How much more response would i get with the new gtx or the proposed efr setup? any other issues with using the std manifold with the efr? Any help or info would be great
  14. Nth qld is skyline/Silvia scene is dead and too many plebs driving them now. Should try and organise the Airlie Beach meet again with all the boys from last time if any still have a skyline.
  15. I can't emphasise how much good suspension and tyres are. This is in my sil80 with mca xr series coilovers, all new bushes and ball joints and adjustable castor, Camber and toe arms with 255/40/17 hankook rs3. Only gets tail happy if you want it to.
  16. I was in a similar position a while ago and bought a forged rb25, gt3076r. 82, 6boost, Poncam 256, Greddy plenum, link g4, 1000cc injectors and run flex fuel. 300kW on gate pressure 14psi and 360kw on 24psi. Stupidly quick and responsive Street setup but cost alot of $$$$. If I was to do it now 2nd hand motor, headgasket with new studs, hypergear turbo on factory manifold, hypertune plenum and fmic setup. Spend the money on suspension as there is no point having all that power if you can't use it.
  17. They were good initially but after 15000km and 7-8 track days they was a lot of understeer and rears would just spin coming onto boost in 2nd. Car is a sil80 with 300+kW rb25.
  18. Just ordered a set of rs3 in 255/40/17. Hopefully they will be better than the ku36 235 and 255 I have ran for a year.
  19. great job with what you started with was good to meet you last weekend ( i had the rb25 sil80) , car looked quick on the straight. so you going to take the sub out for the next round?
