  1. omg you called him a crackhead lol.. sorry but couldn't resist, back on topic
  2. one of the possible reasons why no one's replied to your topic yet is because all of the questions you've asked have been covered very very often. have you used the search function yet? anywho Splitfires - i've never heard of yellow jackets before. They'll also be suitable for your GT35 upgrade, but i do not suggest buying them until you run your GT35 and you have ignition problems, in which case it would then be a good time to upgrade to the expensive splitfires. Normal NGKs gapped to 0.8mm will be fine If you're in NZ, i'd be interested in buying it . . . PM me and let me know. any other questions, use the search function first and THEN make a new topic hope this helps
  3. whoops, yea thats what i meant, funny how getting one word wrong could make it sound so bad. also adjust your fuel pressure regulator, and if you dont have one, you should get one however, you'll still need to get it tuned so that your car gets the correct fuel throughout the whole rev range.
  4. First problem here would be your walboro pump. Check that it has the correct voltage going to it, and since you're going to be doing that, you'd might aswell ground it properly and redo the wiring. Also copper plugs would be fine, you dont really need iridiums or platinums An AFR ratio of 10.2 is also quite lean, AFR ratio on idle should naturally be 14.7 and when on boost it should be between 12.7-13.3 In short, you definately need to get your car tuned, which can be a good or bad thing. bad because you have to pay for it and good because your car should be running sweet. sorry i dont have time to be more in depth, im on a busy schedule at work, hope this helps
  5. Absolutely factory bottom end, hks 272 cams
  6. Take your car for a quick test drive and look at the factory boost meter. it should reach full boost at about 3000rpm. it may sound silly, but check your exhaust manifold, you may have a leak.
  7. THIS. Plugs need to have 0.8mm gap. My factory standard S2 was missing above 5000 on factory boost (low-hi mode = 5-7psi) changed to BCP6RES-8 (BCP6RES-11 = 1.1mm gap) if you cant find BCP6RES-8, just look for BCP6RES, pull it out of the box and either measure or compare it to a -11. provided your coil packs and leads are good, there's no other reason why it'd be missing above 4000rpm. People told me all sorts of things like new coil packs ($800 for splitfires?), fuel cut etc. changed to a set of six $6.00 BCP6RES spark plugs and problem magically solved. also dont but platinums or iridiums, plain copper is fine for mildly modded engines provided you change them every 10,000kms or so.
  8. AGREED. Pretty much the same situation with an 1992 VR4 RS. 320kw at the wheels, factory bottom end. GT3540, made 18psi at 4500rpm. i think that a slightly bigger turbo or even the GT35.82 would be a near perfect matchup for the RB25
  9. Hi Guys, First post here, I frequent these forums quite alot, sponging info on one of the greatest series of cars in the world, which I also happen to own much like most of you here. I used to have a 180SX and since getting my 'line, haven't looked back (but who doesn't miss their RWD Turbo Nissan eh?) Now I've got a R33 GTS25t with Apexi Pod Catback Exhaust Trust Type RS copy Atmospheric Blow-off Valve and R32 Boost Actuator (Best mod i've done so far ) Next mods on the list are an R34 GTT intercooler (decided against front mount) and R34 GTT Turbo in my quest for a fast, daily driven street car. I'm going to mod my car as much as I can within the limits of DOING IT MYSELF. I hear GTT turbos are an improvement over the 25t turbo, but still have the nylon shaft and ceramic turbine as the R33. However, S15's come factory with steel turbo components AFAIK. From what I know, S15 SR and Skyline RB turbos are both T28s so what I'd like to know is are the S15 turbo components (shaft and turbine) able to be swapped into an R34 GTT turbos compressor and turbine housing to make the turbo that Nissan should've fitted to Skylines from the factory? Any help at all will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
