Thanks heaps those web pages are very help full. I found the sensor i want in the russan picture I'm under the impression now after everyones help that i have another problem and i only found this when i started looking.
-
Ive never heard of that place and no nissan was a last choice. After quickly checking Amayama comes up with the other part nissan said i could get. http://www.amayama.com/search/?q=22365-6p500&cur=AUD
-
They seem to be a very common problem that why i asked about using the navara one.
-
Sounds like the case strange how two problems happened at once. bloody car no wounder it never gets driven.
-
For some reason my car doesnt want to boost even with it plugged in and hose blocked.
-
The little air tube has broken off it was cracked and they glued it back on but has broken again. i remeber them saying they only found it as the ecu was seeing boost fluxuations. something like that
-
Well if thats the case happy days. So why if it only uses it for protection does the car run like shit now even when its plugged in. Do you have any ideas why did the tuner bother to fix it when they installed nistune. Im not trying to be smart.
-
Just plugging it in and running the risk it doesnt do damage doesnt sound like the best idea. If it does read slightly different then a tune would fix it only problem is the location of the car is kalgoorlie. If it sends lower voltage for the same boost level as the standard one then the euc would think its getting less air then it is and inject less fuel causing lean wouldn't it.

All great information but my original question is to do with the replaceing of a broken unit with the navara equivlent that nissan say will work and is linked to now that the origanl unit is no longer made part number 22365-6p51A instead of the 22365-6p500. How would i go about making sure this part is working in the same way as the origanl.
-
i was under the impression it did more then just detect 14 psi and chuck a fault code. They found mine was broken when tuning and repaired it that was well over 12 month ago and now its fully f**ked and the car wont even boost with out chugging. i was running over 14 psi with no enging codes with a nistune.

Im chasing the information about the ecu's map sensor
-
My problem is with the boost sensor at the back on the firewall. I think its the Map sensor but written on the part is boost sensor which is kinda the same thing.
-
Ok for all the tuners out there how would you tell if the navar part was working the same as the oem part?
-
That is the sensor but the number are different on it.

Im a little lost ?sorry

Nistune Flex Fuel Launch Control Update!
whitneybra replied to Ben C34's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I wounder how long till there is a version of this for a 34 -
what are the numbers on the top of it im chasing a ps66-01 with 9920 on it
-
Hi my 34 boost sensor has broken. Now im chasing a new one. I tried Ebay and the normal places so i decided to see nissan. They looked the part up and of course there is none. There system say the part is no longer made aswell but then says see part 22365-6p51a which is a nissan navara boost sensor which has the same plug and look very similar so my question is has anyone used the navara sensor.

Are There Any Good Wolf Ecu Tuners In Brisbane
whitneybra replied to Rumpig's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
EFI performance love Wolf. But they moved down to the gold coast recently. -
This topic needs Pictuers to go with all the different offsets that people are running.

Nistune Compactibility With Tomei Cams
whitneybra replied to whitneybra's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
R31Nismoid "Brakes, suspension, clutch, diff - I could go on but you get the idea" Thanks again Im doing the clutch/ light weight flywheel with the 100k service. I have coilovers. Brakes isnt a bad idea but. STATUS "should not be an issue, yes the r34 nistune has less tuneable addresses than other nistune ecus it wont have an issue (most are cold enrich issues on e85 on really big horsepower setups) , i do however recommend running the std bov to help alleviate the stalling... it is an issue with some setups on r34 ecus. We have made mid 400's on r34 nistunes so they are capable, you may just need to make a few compromises. Thanks Im running std bov into a metal intake standard airbox z32 -
Nistune Compactibility With Tomei Cams
whitneybra replied to whitneybra's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Johnilicte "You're hopping to Poncams right? you didn't specify.. Poncams have very mild duration so there won't be any issues idling at stoich & stock timing " Yer im just trying to decide between type A or B. -
Nistune Compactibility With Tomei Cams
whitneybra replied to whitneybra's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Im getting some great responses here keep them coming. Johnnilicte " Replace tuner, lumpy cams don't like stoich, but being poncams man there won't be any issues" The tuner is a very trusted and recommened on here 9/10 threads when people are chasing tuners in qld. I fully trust his addvice i just wanted to hear what others people have done in this situation. R31 Nismoid " Surprised no-one has asked why you'd even bother with cams on a 3071... turbo simply isn't big enough to warrant the expense IMO, far better things to spend that money on a bang for buck scale" Thanks for the constructive criticism. What other bang for buck things would you recommend? Half the reason i even want to do the cams is i have a weaping rocker cover seal and getting a 100k service done and the mechanic is a good mate. Just thought i might aswell get some see how the car will responsed. 34GeeTeeTee "The type B's in my car are undetectable.... Idles at 950 smooth az. They are not lumpy. I see in your list of mods your running a Haltech. My problem is apparently the lack of ability to change a few settings with the nistune due to the higher idle. Not that they will be to lumpy.
