I fully trust his addvice i just wanted to hear what others people have done in this situation. What other bang for buck things would you recommend? Half the reason i even want to do the cams is i have a weaping rocker cover seal and getting a 100k service done and the mechanic is a good mate. Just thought i might aswell get some see how the car will responsed.   34GeeTeeTee "The type B's in my car are undetectable.... Idles at 950 smooth az. They are not lumpy. I see in your list of mods your running a Haltech. My problem is apparently the lack of ability to change a few settings with the nistune due to the higher idle. Not that they will be to lumpy.
  2. THis is what ive been told. Being manual we may be able to get around it. We have had some dramas with the auto cars and big cams stalling. The problem is at 0 throttle above 800 rpm the ECU cuts the fuel. If your cams are too big and you need your idle to be 950 then you are all ready under idle when the ecu starts to add fuel again. I would imagine the 252’s should almost idle like standard so we should be able to tune around it. There are other plug-in ECU’s on the market but I would stick with the nistune for as long as possible
  3. So I own a manual 34GTT and im looking at installing tomei cams ether type B or A. My tuner has advised me they might have problems with idel due to the fact they can't change some settings on the nistune. Which is leading me to get the type A as they are alightly smaller. So is there anyone out there running bigger cams with a nistune and if there was any problems. My car has 3inch exhaust, fmic, bigger injectors, 3071r and the nistune.

  6. Up for sale is my 1990 Nissan patrol. I bought this truck from a local car yard back in 2007 with 396 000km. Features include. Engine TD 4.2 liter turbo,2.5inch exhaust 3inch dump pipe round 410 000km. I fitted a aluminum radiator new belts I also had the starter motor recondition round 460 00km COLD air conditioning Body/Suspension When i first bought the GQ i had old man emu 2 inch lift fitted with 25mm nylon spacer to make 3inch lift. Freshly painted bull bar Chrome Grill. The body has a few scratches dents and what not it is 4x4 after all. I have two sets of rims first are 31's on standard rims 40%tyers second are 33's on wider rims nearly worn out. Also has a Towbar with electric braking Sterio Alpine cd player with Ipod cable Electric aerial wired to manual switch so you can lower it for 4x4ing JVC speaker in barn doors rear passanger doors wired for speaker but speakers arnt installed yet Amp running front and rear speakers I also have a custom sub box that fits behind the rear 3rd row of seats.   8. It is really horrible but there are a few good ideas in that set up. With a clean up it wouldn't be so bad some black paint and black silicon joiners it wouldnt look to bad.

  10. You need to buy the 3/4 injectors for a neo. I just put them in my 34 with stock rail stock intake. I paid 550ish for injectors 180ish to install and under half a hour to tune. Plus RB20's use side feed injectors neo's use top feed
  11. All the ones i listed are bolt in. You dont need spacers or adaptor. The only change needed is the plugs are different. The bosch EV14 injectors come in sizes up to ID 1000 cc
  12. Hi Rolls i just did the injectors on my 34 gtt with stock rail and there are so many options. Bosch ev14 injectors come in many sizes. Sard Nismo Deatchwerks Seimens List goes on
  13. I made the whole exhaust myself and did a 3 inch to twin 2.25 to use both imput hole in the muffler. It was a bit of stuffing round but hasnt hurt the power at this low boost i will find out if it does when i get a final tune done.
  14. Hi im currently running the same nismo vss muffler at the end of a 3 inch pipe with the valve removed. I have a 3071r with AVO rear housing. plus supporting mods and im achiving 274hp at wheels on 9 psi. Im yet to turn the boost up.

  16. I didnt unplug anything other then the airflow meter and O2 . It has a nistune.
  17. Well the problem first started after i put the larger turbo on. like 4 days after. Today it was on the dyno and had bigger injectors put in. The dash in original and it never happened before the turbo was changed.
  18. Ok so my problem is i was driving my 34 GTT like a week ago and the RPM and Speedo started showing 9000 rpm and 180plus km while i was doing less then 50kmph and under 2000rpm. Then it went back to normal. So today it decied to do the same thing but only the water temp started aswell as digital km trip meter. But then they all froze half way and then dropped to show zero on all gauges. So i stopped and turned the car off and back on and there still doing it. Then my engine light came on and stayed on. My car is running fine not missing or anything. Can anyone help me out to what could be the problem or places to start looking?

  22. I have up for sale a near complete turbo kit off my 34. Kit includes all stock oil water lines stock dump pipe/exhaust stock sidemount. OP6 turbo 8X XXX km This has all been removed from my car to fit a 3071r. All parts are in great condition except the stock cat has one flang cut off it.
