  1. PM's replied to. A couple of ppl are interested, but I want at least $4000 for it. If I don't get that in the next week or so then I'll probably part it out
  2. Hi Guys, Selling my Series 1 R33 Gtst, 1993 model Skyline. I'm the first Australian owner, have had the car for a little over 2 years. Someone backed into the rear quarter, so it still has some damage. Also the drivers door and guard need some paint work. Basically the whole drivers side of the car could do with a respray. The front bar and bonnet need some attention too. It has roughly 120,000 klms on the clock. I haven't had any mechanical issues with it at all, except for when I first got it the coils needed replacing - runs extremely well. Registration ran out on 18/05 and I'll be selling it unregistered with no rwc. It shouldn't be too hard to re register, take the boost controller off and the pod filter maybe, that's probably all it needs. It hasn't had too much work done to it, it has the following mods: Splitfire Coils Exhaust from turbo back R34 side mount intercooler Pod filter 18' XHP Wheels - tyres around 60% tread. All wheels have gutter rash. Manual boost controller - pretty much turned down. Timing belt was replaced with a Gates timing belt at 109,000 klms in September 08. Since then, it has been driven from Sydney to Melbourne and has only travelled 11000 klms including that drive. It has an Alpine CD & Tape player, with alpine speakers all round including tweeters. It has the original skyline floor mats I had bought another boot with drift wing from someone on here, but the fktard couriers dropped it I think ( see photo's). Will include the boot. Also will include the stock R33 side mount intercooler. There are a couple of cracked hoses in the engine bay - you can probably see my dodgy tape up job. I'll be looking at getting them replaced. The car hasn't been thrashed, it barely gets driven at all unfortunately. Looking for $4500 for it. I was quoted about $1000 - $1500 to fix the damage and respray, but that was in Sydney. I don't really have the spare cash or the time to do it, so I've decided to sell it as I need a van for work. I can be contacted on 0458 333 444 or by PM.
  3. There's some pics on the link at the bottom of the original post. Will put pics on this post tonight

  5. Sorry All, I guess I want to sell a damaged car. Not sure how to edit the title, so probably need to create a new ad.

  7. Nah was just up there for work for the day (actually an hour or 2). Ended up hiring a ute from Hertz for $50. They're heaps cheaper than every other car rental place up there.
  8. Hi All, Not sure if there's many SAU members from Bendigo, but if so I need to hire a ute or van from somewhere in Bendigo tomorrow for about an hour or so. Anyone know of any cheap places that rent them out up there. I've seen petrol stations that hire utes out by the hour, is there anything like that around Bendigo? Thanks.
  9. With any luck I'll make it there - in my poor beaten up 33.
  10. Man...good thread. I must admit, I've been wanting to go to one of the meetings, but not knowing anyone at all there, I'd kinda feel out of place going. I think SAU does need more meet ups & cruises - be it organised by the SAU comittee or SAU members. I know other forums do have these more often, but I'm personally more interested in meeting others with Skylines than other cars - and some of the other forums do have bad reps for hoons etc (from what I've read)- so not really interested in meeting up with anyone there if it's going to be attracting unwanted attention. Anyway, that's my opinion on all of this - everyone obviously has and is entitled to their own. Hopefully I'll be able to make it tomorrow night, will be good to finally meet some people on here.
  11. nah have to fork out from my own pocket unfortunately...Ahh Truganina is where I just moved from - was living off Westmeadows Lane. Hopefully will get the car fixed & on the road soon.

  13. Hey man, I now live in Sanctuary Lakes - next to Point Cook. Nah mine is a black R33 gtst. I have seen a guy driving a white one with a crazy wing on it. My poor R33 needs some repairs, had someone back into it...so doesn't get driven all that often. Yeah there's not too many skylines around the area from what I've seen. What colour is your R34?

  14. I bought a kit off eBay - little bit of sanding involved but they give you the correct sandpaper. Think it was called glassylite or something like that. Cost me about $30. Headlights look pretty good now. I stopped at a Bursons store yesterday and noticed they had the same sort of thing for about $50

I live in Point Cook, but I drive all over Melbourne for work so I don't really mind too much where it is. Yeah I've looked at some 2nd hand rims, haven't really seen anything I like yet - except for R34 GTR rims, but don't think they'll fit. I saw the Lenso Project D, they're not bad but not 100% sure yet

Thanks for your input everyone - glad to now have a few places to look...now just gotta decide what the hell I'm going to buy

Thanks. I mean rims - something like Lenso's etc. As much as I'd love some jap rims, don't really have 4k to spend on them. I don't think Bob Jane or anywhere like that would have what i'm after. In Sydney they have Tempe Tyres & Australias Best - like those places is why I'm after. Will check out the sites you mentioned.

Hey guys, Had a tyre blow out the other night....don't know why as it still has heaps of tread left is driven nicely. Anyways I'm thinking of buying a package with rims, but not sure where the best places in Melbourne are for this. I'm from Sydney and there's quite a few there but haven't seen all that many here. Where do you all recommend? Also, does anyone have a tool to remove locknuts? Only just discovered the locknuts when I wanted change the tyre. The last wheel shop that i bought them off never gave me the unlock tool thanks
  19. Ahhh thanks everyone. I think the O2 sensor is what I was thinking of....somehow got it mixed up with the afm. I generally drive it off boost and do a lot of freeway driving. It drinks that much that even if I'm in a 70kmh zone I'll generally drive in 5th gear. I'll generally only fill it once the petrol light comes on. I rarely drive the car because it just costs too much...so hopefully changing the sensor will help fix this. I'm planning on a pfc in the next few months, so with any luck that will also help and produce a bit more power. I think it was the O2 sensor someone was selling on here for around $78 - maybe a bosch one....but who knows - I stuffed up by remembering it as an afm, so the guy could have been selling a packet of chips for $300 the way my memory is going.
  20. Hey peeps, After reading a bit about fuel consumption, I think my afm might need replacing - as I'm lucky to get 350 - 400kms from a tank and that's even when driving on freeways & in 5th gear. Does this sound right - would a new afm improve this? I remember seeing someone on the forum selling brand new afm's for around $100 or $110. Does anyone know who that would have been - they seemed to have quite a few. Thanks.....hope everyone had a great new years.
  21. hey mate, can you please send me a pic. Very interested, if it's in good condition I'll take it. Thanks
