  1. You do have a point there buddy. But its alot easier building a MT and swaping in a AT then mucking around with a Auto skyline. yuck
  2. 5 figures huh? i was hoping to be under the 5k mark. Off the line launches are somtimes very difficult in a MT. Ive invested alot of money into suspension and tyres but it only does so much. Its also sometimes very frustrating at how much speed is lost during shifts. You can only shift so fast in a MT, and yes im using a short shifter as well. Recently sat in a 3-speed auto making close to 580hp. Its ridiculous how fast these transmission allow the car to move. Say what you want, i may not be a master at shifting but AT will always be quicker then MT.
  3. I just realized that this still needs clutch activation to operate. Ideally id like to convert to a sequential transmission rather then a H box converter....if you know what i mean.
  4. if anyone knows what Nomukens er34 uses that would be most helpful! hopefully his still using the standard box
  5. Sorry about that my mistake. Yes thats exactly what im after. It dosnt look like they have anything for the Er34 though, not surprising T_T
  6. Hi guys, Ive been thinking about possibly switching over to a sequential gearbox for my car. I know of GETDRAG and Hollinger but is there anything else out there? A Hollinger is way out of my budget but i hear the GETDRAG ones can be had for under 5k? Where can one find more information about these products? does anyone down in Melbourne have one for a possible test? Apart from being very noisy both in 1st gear, reverse and low revs, What else can one expect out of these types of gearboxes? cheers
  7. got mine today. cheers
  8. ^^ his right Ita because skylines don't have auto levelling lights. VicRoads says this has the potential to blind ppl while you drive because they are so bright. Regardless it's an expensive price of gear, costing ppl around$1500 to replace. Like this guy I had my bulbs and ballists removed during compliance. I ddint do my research and regretted dearly. The horrible halogens they replace them with are disgusting and are absolutely useless. And aftermarket HIDs ain't that much better. My advice for ppl out there about to go through compliance, talk to the guys off the record about negotiating the OEM Xenons back into the car after being compiled.
  9. Jap Warehouse dosnt list anything on their website though?
  10. Right, But like most OEM thermostats open (eg 80deg) to late to start cooling. So aftermarket ones open sooner (eg 70deg) to allow better cooling. Correct me if im wrong.
  11. I thought the whole point was to increase pressure? so that the boiling point is higher then what it normaly would be if it was less pressurized? I guess thats a smart move. Just hate the feeling of worrying if it will be ok when the weather heats up. edit:: after a quick google.
  12. Its hard to say exactly what your problem is. If its just a simple globe. You need a DSR H1 Xenon HID Globes. Im selling my old 4300k pair for $80 if your interested. If its not the globe, eg the ballast or anything else. then it could be alot more $$$ and complicated to fix.
  13. My water temps are sitting always sitting close to 80degrees all day long in 25degree weather. And thats without boosting. Which is why im a little worried about the weather heating up. Its still using all the standard hoses, thermostats and radiator caps. I have however upgraded the radiator though. My application is also slightly a bit more extreme with 60mm external wastegates and big topmount turbocharger. Making close to 500hp just to give people an idea.
  14. Hi Guys, Just thought it be a good idea to run down a few things to make sure our cars are in the best possible running condition they can be in. Im planning on the following. Replacing rubber radiator hoses with silicon hoses Flushing out and replacing with new coolant (any suggestions on good products?) Straightening fins on intercooler + a good wash. Cooling Panel Aftermarket Thermostat Aftermarket Radiator Cap I was wondering though do Aftermarket Thermostats and Radiator Caps make a big difference? Is it worth spending the money? Not to long ago i ended up ceramic coating the whole exhaust side so that was a big plus. However it seems my inlet temps are still a bit high. Sitting around 60degrees after a few spirited runs. Any recommendations?
  15. Charles can you confirm if its possible to get in on this with Carbon Fibre bonnets?
  16. yeh i notice mine always kicks out to the drivers side ALL the time. The cars a street drag car. Custom drag suspension and all that. No sideways action at all. seriously considering a LSD but i think some Drag radials should be next
  17. gt35r .82 rb26/30 cam gears oem cams exhaust port and e85 =] and fyi im talkin 4th gear
  18. Joey, What positive changes did you see in performance when you put in a 1.5LSD? My cars pretty violent in the first few gears and nothing short of soft. Running 275/19 NT05s and considering downgrading to 18s and slapping on some NT05R Drag Radials. Its making close to 300kw @ 4000rpm so its very on song. Traction is a bit of a issue these days Would you recommend upgrading to a 1.5?
  19. Sorry, whats this for?
  20. not sure if this has been mentioned but the "Report" button isnt working. I keep getting the following error everytime i click it.
  21. my bad. What ECU are you using? Are you still running AFMs? Sorry if these are stupid questions. Just trying to help =]
  22. its not the rear housing thats for sure. A friend is making close to 450kw with the same t04z .82 turbo. To be on the safe side drop the exhaust while your at it and check the cooler. If power shoots up, rebolt the exhaust back on. If the problem reappears you know its the exhaust. If it dosnt, Most likely the cooler.
