  1. thanks mate ill give that a go. Is it a gtr rolls? because im running the rb26.
  2. the one in the picture is the old one i replaced and it was pretty tight wouldnt budge at all. But ill give it another go. Its a pretty big job to remove the plenum to be able to get to the acc and remove that. Besides i think it needs to be adjusted on the car so you can monitor the idle
  3. So i tried turning that screw in the picture above but its very very hard to get to. How does one get to it when its under the plenum?
  4. Do you mean this?
  5. Not sure if this is directed to me but, There isnt a 02 Sensor on the car currently, and is something that is on the list to do. However i have already tried disabling the IDLE-IG and it does nothing. Even after letting it idle for 5minutes and warming up. According to your FAQ paul, Is it worth trying these things with a built motor? or is this only useful on a standard car? Which lines spesifically would i be looking at clamping? (ignore the red arrow) Also should the throttle sensor be showing ~0.36v at idle? shouldnt it be 0.0v? Possible TPS issue? We replaced all the gaskets on the intake side including the throttle body shaft ones. Using a electrionic boost controller We did have a cracked O-Ring, but has been fixed. Replaced AAC The car was originally tuned with the cracked O-Ring. Do you think its possible that because of the current tune with the cracked O-Ring, (even though it was replaced) would still cause a idle issue because the ECU has been tuned that way? A re-tune is booked in regardless
  6. Looks like its the next logical move. Ill check back when i have an update
  7. We have already pressure tested the inlet side and there is no leaks what so ever. But from what others have said it may be one of the other things u mentioned. Its only a issue if you dont re-coat the shaft with throttle paste. In my case we completely striped the throttle bodies back to make sure it was completely clean and then added 3 coats of Tomei Throttle Coat. This should have solved the problem, if it was just that. Yes the AAC is the idle control valve. As for checking for vac leaks, You have to block off your entire inlet side and then stick a pressure valve inside somewhere and test if it is leaking. In my scenario its not related to AFMs as im running a mafless ecu.
  8. Update on the situation. Acid cleaned all throttle bodies, replaced the shaft seals with aftermarket ones from the states. More info - http://www.xs-engine...idproduct=12106 Replaced the AAC valve (23781-05U11) picture = http://simex.sakura....es-DSCN7515.jpg 3 coats of tomei throttle coat and no difference what so ever. hey paul, Could you elaborate on exactly what the cold start valve is? Are you referring to the "Idle Control Regulator" part no = 22660-01U10? this thing here?
  9. Thanks for the help guys i already got my hands on what i needed.
  10. I think you were apart of the original discussion about Multi vs Single throttles when i googled some old threads on SAU. The car isnt a circuit car and its main purpose is being a street car. And setup for straight line performance. Because of this i always assumed Single > Multi. I also found this while going through old threads. We did pressure test the throttles and there was some hissing around the throttle bodies. We couldnt determine exactly if it was the bearings or the actual flaps but since it was out we decided to clean everything up and replace the bearing seals as well.
  11. Ill give the tbs fix a go and hopefully its all sorted. If not ill be going Hypertune check back in a few weeks with a update.
  12. I hear what your saying buddy. Few reasons. One is trying to source a 2nd hand set which can be a hassle. Being second hand who really knows how long these things will last. Buying brand new is almost just as expensive. $1500 for a new set of throttle bodies Being a 3L build the setup would benefit very much converting to a single 90tb, so why not. Obviously if i can fix the issue, happy days. But the last thing i want is to piss thousands of dollars in labour for trial and error.
  13. after some more googling (thanks guys i wasnt aware of a plastic seal even being available) i found this. http://www.xs-engineering.com/xsstore/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=14&idproduct=12106#details looks right?
  14. So ive taken some pictures of the throttle bodies and as you can see they are pretty dirty. We plan to reset the throttles after cleaning the inside of the bore out including the special paste that seals the flaps shut. We will be applying some new Tomei Throttle Coat paste which should fill up any gaps there may be. However the original concern that we had was that the bearing (picture 3, cant really see as its behind the screw) seems to be letting air into the chamber. Any thouhgts on all this?
  15. Yeh i did some googling and it looks like ill need to do what they did in this. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/286728-nissan-gtr-high-idle-and-throttle-body-fix/ and get my hands on some of that Tomei Throttle coat
  16. What exactly do you mean by backing all the throttle stops offand resetting the throttles?
  17. Hi Guys, A few minotiry probably knew about a idle issue i have been having over the past few months, so ive finally been able to check my car in for a diagnosis. After a number of weeks looking at every nook and crany of the intake system we believe the issue is actually related to the bearings of the throttle bodies. We have replaced the AAC, TBS and cleaned out most of the intake side but still seems to be idling at 1500rpm. Replacing the throttle bodies has proven a bit to expensive and unreliable to be worthwhile so i thouhgt id take this chance to get a whole new intake system. What are peoples experiences? Greddy - still retains the ITBS? Hypertune - Big $$ but supposely the best money can buy Nismo - any experience? ect Any help much appreciated.
  18. Thanks for the insight buddy. So when ppl refer to the Idle Control Valve what are they referring to?
  19. What about the AAC then? Whats that? i called nissan and gave them the following part IDs 22660-01U10 - (Nissan called it a regulator, same as JustJap one) TPS - 22620-05U01 - This one was easy AAC - 23781-05U11 - have yet to check...will confirm soon. however no stock anywhere and 3week wait =[
  20. Hi Guys, Im after a few idle control parts for my car as it sems they have gone haywire. But im not sure if the items i have are actually the cor Idle air control valve - 22660-01U10 Auxiliry Air Control - 23781-05U11 What is the difference between the 2? I assumed they did the same thing until i realised they were different parts.
  21. Whats this then?
  22. thanks for that Lucas, all i could find was this Idle Air Control Regulator. http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=18331&cat=&page=1 is it the same thing?
  23. Having some idle issues and seems to be a combonation of incorrect voltage from the Throttle posision sensor and a faulty Idle Air Control Valve. Where do people source such parts apart from Nissan who rip me a new a-hole with the prices they want.
