Hi Paradizzle, Again it is very hard to post the reason incase of risking further problems. You have a point in regards to preventing work from continuing if i was notified. But it does leave a sour taste in your mouth when as a customer you are not notified of a massive delay in the job + a price hike. I was afraid this was the case. i cant say without risking some sort of backlash but i can tell you its a joke of a excuse and rather then telling me when it happened, the shop decided to wait till i called him for a update. i planned to have a chat to him in person as his mobile, workshop number are switched off all of a sudden. And his quick responses via sms seem quite slow now. I guess what im asking is in the event that things go sour. how do people deal with people who have you car at ransom?

Hi Guys, So ive saved up enough cash to fix up some minor scratches and annoying little things on the car and decide to bring it to a very reputable bodyshop to do the job. We agreed on a spesific price and day of completion and i left the keys to the car. As you can guess, not only did the price jump, but its going to be another week to finish the job. How do people deal with things like this?

its a great feeling after its all been resolved. it be good to see what we can do with e85 now. From what i understand, the back of the cas was actually being stripped away by something. The actual thread was completely gone. My mech said it possibly could have been due to the fact that the old cas didnt have any spacers. Because of this it was giving incorrect readings to the cam timing which caused all types of dramas. hope that helps.

Well i have some good news guys. We've done it! after replacing the CAS on the car, power shot straight to 390rwkw. After some fine tuning im sure we'll finally be able to cross the big 400 =] =D

The car will crank, almost to the point where its about to fire up. But it dosnt and the cranking noise will sort of jump around a bit and eventually start. Sometimes it starts instantly and perfectly, other times it dosnt usually after a god drive. But i dont know if thats just a coincidence.

Thanks for your reply beemae30, I havnt really done any testing myself, the car was in the shop for some small stuff and i asked to get the battery checked, the Auto elect said it was fine. It starts up fine now and has been for a while. Its just sometimes in a blue moon that the car wont start with the above issues. However even though it starts now, it still hesitates. Sometimes only for a second and sometimes as long as 3-4seconds.

Just an update guys, We had the battery as well as the cabling all checked and they are in good condition. My local auto elect mentioned that its got to do with the starter motor more then anything. He seems to believe its coming from a possibly faulty solenoid of some sort. Wasnt able to hang on the phone for a explanation so i was hoping if someone can shed some light on this while im at work lol. Cheers
