i have to agree. i personally wouldnt dismiss the PFC so quick

When you say its better for street car because of it looking 100% stock, retaining factory features ect. What about in terms of tunability? would you say the nistune falls behind the PFC in this situation? for someone like me who dosnt care about the stuff you mentioned but just wants the most of the setup, making big numbers while keeping the midrange nice and phat, whats your input?

but if money wasnt an issue out of the two, which would you go for? Just thinking about it from a logical point it seems that a complete aftermarket ecu would be much better then a piggyback style ecu? no? correct me if im wrong =] what are you reasons?

Long ur for a update but here it is Intercooler pressure drop - <2psi Exhaust back pressure = < 1psi to redline on load ValveSprings replaced with brand new ones Seems like all was fine however we found that the cas does need to be replaced. The timing and injectors are a bit off and after a stab of the throttle there is misfiring. Thoughts? Will check back when that's done. Any advice in the meantime will be great.

The run was under load. I'm not running a cat and it's a 3.5 straight pipe exhaust system. I highly doubted it was the exhaust but got it out the way. I seem to also be having cas problems. Symptoms recently included alot of misfiring on cruise and running rich. This wasn't a issue when we had the car fully tuned months ago but is halting our progress until resolved. Of anyone can help me out it's a r33 rb26. Which CASs are interchangeable?

Exhaust pressure was what we tested. I'm currenly running a 6boost manifold with a 60mm gate, no boost issues anymore. Holding flat all the way to redline

My mech says that the vavles have to be taken out a actually tested. With all that effort I decided to just buy brand new ones. Will have it fited in a week. Managed to also back pressure test the exhaust. Less then 1psi all the way to redline. Still have yet to test the cooler, will be sorted out soon.

Although I understand the process of taping in holes on both sides of the intercooler, I don't have much time to sit down and plug holes, weld ect.

Hi guys, I'm trying to find a place that can pressure test the whole intercooling system including pipes on my car. I've called a few places and they all only do pressure tests for cores and require it to be off the car. (which sort of defeats the purpose.) Located in the south east. Cheers

I just called race radiators in Dandenong to ask for a quick pressure drop test. They said they only do pressure tests =S Isnt that the same thing!!?

i guess what i need is a decent 100mm core with 3" outlets. mines currently the 76mm 2.5 outlet stuff

laggy with the t51r? how much power are you making at 100kmph/4000rpm? ive also had a massive headache with controlling boost. went from a 38mm gate to a 33 and then eventually to a 60mm gate ive currently got. took a good few months to sort that out =[

i used to ask this quesiton alot, but there are a dozen people who have made it happen. Although talking about it is far different from actually making it happen, theres no denying that my setup is suffering from a power shortage somewhere. I guess ill find out sooner or later if its possible

im in the exact same boat as you mate. ive been told to upgrade to a t04z or to a 1.06 but i want to get as much as i can out of the current setup before anything else. I havnt had a chance to do a pressure test but have something booked in on wed. will keep this thread updated. How much power did you make on your setup jarrod? youve got a point here but i feel that it may somewhat overcomplicate things. Id just like to get the basics right first if you know what i mean. ive been a bit slack in following your build buddy. Hate to be noisy but could you help a fellow gt35r user in breaking into the 400kw? how big is your exhaust? what manifold you using? i remember you wanting to play with the gt35x turbos. is it s standard 35r you used with a .82 when you made the 430kw? were you running e85 on that? any head work? cams? really appreciate your help man. im pulling my hair out about why my build is a little lacking

haha, if only everything was solved by adding more boost =[ ive been surfing the vlcalai forums for a bit and the genral opinion is that ebay stuff will work and do its job, but the highend plazmaman stuff do the job alot more efficiently. im just thinking about the extra $800 id be left with and what i can get by buying ebay stuff. its temping but really confused as to if it really will solve my problems

my previous experience with cheap stuff hasnt really been the best. so im somewhat hesitant to go down that path lol. very temping though =[
