  1. Hi Guys, Quick rundown of my current setup Drag orientated Street car Rb26/30 Gt35r .82 rear 3.5 exhaust oem rb26 cams 600x300x76 justjap cooler - made ~350rwkw @ low 20's psi i believe. More psi dosnt make any more power. - Valve springs seem to be in ok condition. - Intercooler believed to be holding setup back. rumours floating around that 3"+ outlets are a must on this type of setup. Thoughts? - Car seems to suffer from some heat soak after a drive. What can i do to combat this? - Inlet temps sit around the 50degrees but i could be off on this. i just remember my tuner saying it was a slightly high. - 60mm atmo screamer pipe - Highmount turbo - possible heat radiating from exhaust side, so i had almost everything i could lay my hands on ceramic coated. Considering Turbo bag or wraping, any thoughts or advice? - Alot of heat radiating from under the motor, in the slight direction of the inlet side. Any ideas? My conclusion is that a bigger, more efficient intercooler that isnt blocking off air to the radiator and among other things will solve a large majority of my cooling problems. So ive finally saved up enough money to buy a pretty decent intercooler. Having a look at Plazmamans range (and also having a chat to them) they have recommened their "1400hp Race Spec 100mm intercooler" I however thought to my self, 1400hp is pretty overkill for my application. My aim is to reach 400rwkw and possibly 450 on some better fuel. Taking this into consideration i had a look at their 800hp rated intercoolers. If my setup is only able to make a decent 600hp, Will a 800hp intercooler do the same job as a 1400hp intercooler? Or will the 1400hp be even better and offer more rewards? How does having larger outlets affect things? going larger surely means more lag? Any thoughts or ideas on what would be ideal? Really appreciate the help guys, i believe alot of people out there may have similar issues and it would be great to get some concrete resolutions.

  3. Hi guys I was hoping if someone could help me with a bit o f a problem with the car I'm having at the moment. The car has lately in the past few weeks every now and then, when I try to turn the engine on it hesitates to fire. It seems to turn but dosnt actually starts up. I monitor the volt sensor on the pfc controller and it sits at 12v and when starting drops to around 8-8.8volts. Sometimes it will almost start and I notice the volts jump up to 10v, but majority of the time drops back down to 7-8v and dosnt start. Is this normal? I've never had this issue before ad only recently popped up after i switched back to a 98tune from e85. I've got a surge tank with twin 044 pumps. I've tried leaving the engine sit for 30min, I've tried pumping the fuel pumps through But nothing. Sitting at a servo atm and already 10min late for work. Any help much appreciated

  6. I dont think theres a need to go to a T4. you always want to match turbos to your power goal and nothing bigger. Whats the cars aim and power goals? Id have to agree with you about the doubt. Ive been trying for a good year to crack the 400kw on the .82 rear however most for the time is just saving up to buy the parts. All i need is new intercooler and possibly new valve springs. Fingers crossed =] Whats your current setup atm Jack88? spec list?
  7. I had a long chat with Plazmaman a few months back about their intercooler designs and quality. They claim that they have the most efficient intercoolers in the world and would benchmark their products with anything. Bold statement never the less. I do however have a TRUST 100mm drag cooler available for 500. But there is some pipework that needs to be done. How soon are u going to get yours all sorted out and tuned mate? Gt35r rb26/30? Keep us posted
  8. Hi Titan, It does seem like that is the case. However what intercoolers do people recommend? There are a few 2nd hand old school TRUST drag intercoolers lying around for cheap but most of the new Plazmaman, Nismo, ect all ask upwards of $2000. Im not one to be cheap but has anyone had experience with certain types of cores? And does anyone think a 2nd hand TRUST drag exhaust can still do the job?
  9. What are you guys running on the intake side of things? OEM plenum and TBs? what size intercooler? standard Valve springs still? im still running through hoops trying to crack 400kw on 98ron. im currently running a 75mm intercooler and suspect that it might be at its end. Saving the $$$ for a decent 100mm core. any thouhgts? my setup rb26/30 + oem rb26 cams gt35r .82 rear 3.5inch exhaust power fc d jetro ecu

  12. Monthly Update, Looks like Repco, Autobarn only had these on a limited sale price. They are back to full price.
